法(fa)喜寺(si)(si)建(jian)筑雄(xiong)偉,布局莊嚴(yan)。寺(si)(si)內殿(dian)(dian)堂很多,除大殿(dian)(dian)外,有(you)(you)肅(su)儀亭、夜講(jiang)堂、白(bai)云(yun)堂、兩峰(feng)堂、雪坡(po)軒等(deng)(deng)。寺(si)(si)四周有(you)(you)白(bai)云(yun)峰(feng)、白(bai)云(yun)泉(quan)(quan)、乳(ru)竇(dou)峰(feng)、乳(ru)竇(dou)泉(quan)(quan)等(deng)(deng)名勝。白(bai)云(yun)峰(feng)的(de)(de)(de)白(bai)云(yun)茶曾(ceng)是南宋歲貢的(de)(de)(de)西湖名茶。宋元祐(you)中(zhong),蘇東(dong)坡(po)出任(ren)杭州知(zhi)府,曾(ceng)數次來游(you),留下《雨中(zhong)游(you)天竺靈(ling)感觀音院》等(deng)(deng)詩篇(pian)(pian)。宋朱熹、呂祖謙、戴(dai)復古,元趙孟(meng)、倪(ni)瓚等(deng)(deng)均有(you)(you)游(you)上(shang)天竺詩。宋代抗(kang)金英雄(xiong)岳飛的(de)(de)(de)《歸赴行(xing)在過上(shang)天竺寺(si)(si)偶題》詩篇(pian)(pian)更是氣壯山河,令人感奮。現寺(si)(si)中(zhong)有(you)(you)大殿(dian)(dian)和齋、客堂等(deng)(deng)輔助用(yong)房,鑄5噸半重的(de)(de)(de)大銅鐘,并在重建(jian)天王殿(dian)(dian)和后殿(dian)(dian) 。

乘坐121/324M/103/1314/508H路假(jia)日(龍井數字專線)等公交(jiao)車,在上天竺公交(jiao)站下車,步行300多米抵達
1、最好是在每月的初一、十五(wu)去比較好,無法(fa)控制就看機緣,隨性而去;
2、禮佛前沐浴更(geng)衣,有條件焚香冥想(xiang)更(geng)好,建(jian)議當天吃素;
3、去寺廟不要穿(chuan)暴露(lu)的衣服,素色為宜(yi),女(nv)生穿(chuan)褲(ku)子更方便;
4、不要踩寺廟門檻,女(nv)跨(kua)右腳(jiao),男跨(kua)左腳(jiao);
5、許愿(yuan)心(xin)靜、誠實;
6、不要拍佛(fo)像。
由于宋真宗(zong)崇(chong)佛(fo)道,繼而宋仁(ren)(ren)宗(zong)推崇(chong)佛(fo)教(jiao),因此,當時(shi)(shi)(shi)杭州官(guan)如(ru)蘇軾、蔡襄(xiang)、沈(shen)文通等均與杭州佛(fo)門密(mi)切交(jiao)往,也使靈竺(zhu)趨(qu)于興(xing)盛。宋仁(ren)(ren)宗(zong)天(tian)圣初年(1023年)有(you)銑(xian)和尚在白云(yun)峰、獅子峰之(zhi)間建觀音(yin)殿,一時(shi)(shi)(shi)香火(huo)甚盛,“眾(zhong)山環拱,煙(yan)云(yun)瓢渺,時(shi)(shi)(shi)聞(wen)鐘(zhong)聲(sheng),恍(huang)然(ran)天(tian)官(guan)”。皇佑元年(1049年),宋仁(ren)(ren)宗(zong)曾將秘(mi)典5330卷賜予(yu)看經院,作為(wei)教(jiao)藏(zang),為(wei)此專門造了藏(zang)經殿。至嘉佑中(1059-1060年),杭州郡(jun)守沈(shen)文通認為(wei)“觀音(yin)以(yi)聲(sheng)音(yin)宣佛(fo)力,非(fei)禪(chan)那所(suo)居(ju)”,提出“以(yi)教(jiao)易(yi)禪(chan)”,將禪(chan)寺(si)改為(wei)教(jiao)寺(si),并命(ming)寺(si)僧辯(bian)才(即(ji)元凈)主持筑室(shi),殿加重檐,宋仁(ren)(ren)宗(zong)親書“靈感觀音(yin)院”寺(si)額(e)。至治平中(1065年前(qian)后)蔡襄(xiang)守郡(jun),由宰(zai)相(xiang)曾公亮出資修建寺(si)皖,并將其所(suo)贈(zeng)佛(fo)經5230卷藏(zang)于院之(zhi)西廡。元符(fu)三年(1100年)十(shi)六觀堂落成。
宋(song)室南遷后(hou),金兵(bing)于建(jian)炎四年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(1130年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian))入侵杭城。當時金兀術(shu)(即完(wan)(wan)顏宗(zong)(zong)弼)曾謁(ye)上(shang)(shang)天(tian)竺(zhu)(zhu),得(de)咒觀(guan)(guan)(guan)音(yin)像始末,遂將觀(guan)(guan)(guan)音(yin)像及大(da)(da)藏經載(zai)于轎(jiao)車(che)內運往(wang)北(bei)方,寺(si)僧(seng)(seng)智完(wan)(wan)率(lv)弟子跟隨至(zhi)燕京西南五里的(de)玉河鄉建(jian)寺(si)供奉。紹(shao)興(xing)(xing)二(er)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(1132年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)),宋(song)高宗(zong)(zong)命(ming)住持惟日建(jian)藏經樓和應(ying)(ying)真閣(ge),并(bing)于紹(shao)興(xing)(xing)五年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)親臨進(jin)(jin)香(xiang)。隆興(xing)(xing)二(er)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(1164年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)),宋(song)孝(xiao)宗(zong)(zong)又(you)(you)命(ming)臨安府尹曹澄督建(jian)五百羅(luo)漢堂(tang)。干(gan)道元年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(1165年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian))二(er)月(yue),宋(song)孝(xiao)宗(zong)(zong)專門召(zhao)見上(shang)(shang)天(tian)竺(zhu)(zhu)住持若(ruo)納,并(bing)封(feng)為“右街僧(seng)(seng)竺(zhu)(zhu)”,后(hou)又(you)(you)封(feng)“左街僧(seng)(seng)竺(zhu)(zhu)”,賜(si)“白云堂(tang)印”,命(ming)若(ruo)納管(guan)轄禪、教、律三宗(zong)(zong)和江南佛教事務,由此(ci),上(shang)(shang)天(tian)竺(zhu)(zhu)寺(si)名重京師。干(gan)道三年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(1167年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)),宋(song)孝(xiao)宗(zong)(zong)還(huan)視往(wang)察看,賜(si)絹錢二(er)萬(wan),命(ming)重建(jian)十六觀(guan)(guan)(guan)堂(tang)。至(zhi)干(gan)道八(ba)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(1172年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian))二(er)月(yue)又(you)(you)下詔重修寺(si)院,改(gai)院為寺(si),御書“法輪寶(bao)藏”額,將曰月(yue)珠(zhu)、鬼谷珠(zhu),貓眼等內宮珠(zhu)寶(bao)賜(si)予(yu)(yu)該(gai)院。淳熙(xi)元年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(1174年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian))又(you)(you)將福州印造(zao)的(de)藏經500函賜(si)藏該(gai)院。翌年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian),宋(song)孝(xiao)宗(zong)(zong)到上(shang)(shang)天(tian)竺(zhu)(zhu)進(jin)(jin)香(xiang),正式改(gai)院為“靈感觀(guan)(guan)(guan)音(yin)講寺(si)”。當時,凡帝王上(shang)(shang)山進(jin)(jin)香(xiang)都在白云堂(tang)進(jin)(jin)齋。至(zhi)宋(song)寧宗(zong)(zong)慶元三年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(1197年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian))改(gai)名為“天(tian)竺(zhu)(zhu)教寺(si)”,評定(ding)為教寺(si)“五山之首”。凡高麗等國(guo)使者僧(seng)(seng)人來朝,都至(zhi)上(shang)(shang)天(tian)竺(zhu)(zhu)交驗書牒并(bing)予(yu)(yu)接待。開禧二(er)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(l206年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian))七月(yue)燈(deng)火成(cheng)災(zai),十六觀(guan)(guan)(guan)堂(tang)被(bei)毀,住持妙蛙竭力營建(jian),一年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)完(wan)(wan)工。南宋(song)后(hou)期(qi),上(shang)(shang)天(tian)竺(zhu)(zhu)菩薩被(bei)朝廷奉為“治國(guo)安邦”的(de)主宰(zai)。宋(song)理(li)宗(zong)(zong)趙昀在《天(tian)竺(zhu)(zhu)靈感觀(guan)(guan)(guan)音(yin)大(da)(da)士贊(zan)》中稱:“神通(tong)至(zhi)妙兮(xi)(xi)(xi)隱顯莫測(ce),功德無邊兮(xi)(xi)(xi)應(ying)(ying)感奚速。時和歲豐(feng)兮(xi)(xi)(xi)豐(feng)佑我民,兵(bing)寢(qin)刑措兮(xi)(xi)(xi)康此(ci)王國(guo)。”
宋(song)末(mo)咸淳二(er)年(nian)(nian)(1266年(nian)(nian)),寺(si)(si)(si)院盡毀,于五(wu)(wu)年(nian)(nian)由寺(si)(si)(si)僧(seng)慶思募建(jian),乃改為“天(tian)竺(zhu)教寺(si)(si)(si)”,至元末(mo)時,上天(tian)竺(zhu)寺(si)(si)(si)院又(you)毀,直(zhi)至明洪武十五(wu)(wu)年(nian)(nian)(1382年(nian)(nian)),高僧(seng)宗(zong)泐入(ru)京(jing)任僧(seng)侶左(zuo)善世師,奏請重(zhong)建(jian);明太(tai)祖遂(sui)下旨(zhi)建(jian)觀音菩薩殿,并(bing)下令杭城駐軍停操二(er)月(yue)為建(jian)寺(si)(si)(si)搬(ban)運磚木。明正統十年(nian)(nian)(1445年(nian)(nian))明英宗(zong)朱祁鎮將本山《北藏經(jing)》5048卷賜藏該寺(si)(si)(si)左(zuo)右,同時附有(you)《護藏敕諭》一(yi)(yi)道。在明朝(chao)(chao)統治(zhi)二(er)百七十余(yu)年(nian)(nian)間,上天(tian)竺(zhu)完全靠僧(seng)人募化等辦(ban)法(fa)整修寺(si)(si)(si)院。清朝(chao)(chao)前期,清帝信奉觀音大士“奇術妙(miao)相”、“靈感顯應”,對天(tian)竺(zhu)寺(si)(si)(si)恩寵有(you)加。康(kang)熙玄燁(ye),六(liu)巡江(jiang)南,五(wu)(wu)到上天(tian)竺(zhu)。康(kang)熙五(wu)(wu)年(nian)(nian)(1666年(nian)(nian))發(fa)朝(chao)(chao)廷內庫“重(zhong)為周色”,并(bing)賜《金書尊經(jing)》,官員們盛贊此舉使“湖山動色,草木回光,美哉圣乎!”玄燁(ye)先(xian)后賜御(yu)書《金剛經(jing)》石刻一(yi)(yi)部、御(yu)書“法(fa)雨慈(ci)云(yun)”匾額、金字(zi)《心經(jing)》、墨刻《藥(yao)師經(jing)》、御(yu)制《重(zhong)修上天(tian)竺(zhu)寺(si)(si)(si)碑記》等。
乾隆(long)十六年(1751年)三月,弘歷初到南巡進兩(liang)到上(shang)(shang)天(tian)竺,除題(ti)(ti)詩外,并(bing)定(ding)名上(shang)(shang)天(tian)竺寺(si)為(wei)“法喜(xi)寺(si)”,御書寺(si)額(e)和“寶陀飛觀”、“普甘(gan)露門”等匾額(e),題(ti)(ti)寫柱(zhu)聯有(you):“繞座法輪明(ming)寶月,盈階甘(gan)雨散花天(tian)。”此后(hou),他(ta)每到上(shang)(shang)天(tian)竺,必有(you)賞賜或有(you)卸書題(ti)(ti)字,先后(hou)該觀音像、佛像,石(shi)(shi)刻(ke)《蓮華(hua)經》,御書《華(hua)嚴經》、《蘭亭圖石(shi)(shi)刻(ke)手卷》,并(bing)題(ti)(ti)寫“色空不(bu)二”、“印真闡諦”匾額(e)等,他(ta)手書的《千手千眼觀世(shi)音大悲心(xin)陀羅尼經》石(shi)(shi)刻(ke)一冊曾刻(ke)石(shi)(shi)19塊嵌于法喜(xi)寺(si)羅漢大士(shi)殿。
正是由(you)于(yu)(yu)朝廷的(de)(de)提(ti)倡和(he)眾(zhong)多佛徒信眾(zhong)對“觀(guan)音(yin)靈(ling)驗(yan)”的(de)(de)信奉,故明清時(shi),浙江蘇南各(ge)地的(de)(de)鄉(xiang)民村姑(gu)都紛紛來天竺(zhu)進香(xiang)(xiang),成為(wei)每(mei)年(nian)一度的(de)(de)“香(xiang)(xiang)市(shi)”。據《武林舊事(shi)》、《仁和(he)懸志》稱:“方奉時(shi),鄉(xiang)民扶老攜幼,焚香(xiang)(xiang)頂禮大士(shi),以祝(zhu)豐年(nian),香(xiang)(xiang)車(che)寶馬,絡繹于(yu)(yu)道(dao),更有(you)自遠(yuan)方負擔而來者(zhe)(zhe),名曰香(xiang)(xiang)客。凡自普陀院回向(xiang),未有(you)不至此(ci)(ci)者(zhe)(zhe)。”“二(er)月十(shi)九日為(wei)觀(guan)音(yin)大士(shi)誕辰(chen),三(san)吳浙東士(shi)民,齋至藝香(xiang)(xiang),舟(zhou)車(che)絡繹,晝夜(ye)不絕(jue)。”每(mei)年(nian)新年(nian)剛過,“春服既成”,而養蠶尚早(zao),于(yu)(yu)是“銜(xian)舟(zhou)打槳,進香(xiang)(xiang)天竺(zhu),結舫為(wei)鄰,棲至于(yu)(yu)此(ci)(ci)”。每(mei)逢(feng)香(xiang)(xiang)市(shi)自武林門、松木場、經昭訂(ding)寺到天竺(zhu),沿(yan)途(tu)擺滿各(ge)種貨(huo)攤,販賣(mai)各(ge)種用具、土產、玩具等(deng),為(wei)時(shi)一月有(you)余,延綿數里,道(dao)為(wei)之塞。“天竺(zhu)香(xiang)(xiang)市(shi)”被(bei)列為(wei)“十(shi)八景之一”,直(zhi)至1949年(nian)前(qian),三(san)竺(zhu)路旁仍建有(you)相連平房供香(xiang)(xiang)客宿夜(ye)。50年(nian)代(dai)(dai)后開始(shi)衰落,70年(nian)代(dai)(dai)末開始(shi)重又興盛。
“文(wen)革”期間(jian),法(fa)喜(xi)寺(si)(si)亦遭劫難。改(gai)革開放後(hou),杭州市政(zheng)府(fu)把天(tian)(tian)竺三寺(si)(si)列為西湖風景區名勝發(fa)展項目(mu),法(fa)喜(xi)寺(si)(si)又(you)喜(xi)逢佛緣(yuan)盛世。在國內外十方大德賢士支(zhi)持下(xia),寺(si)(si)院煥發(fa)新彩。重(zhong)修後(hou)的法(fa)喜(xi)寺(si)(si)現有天(tian)(tian)王殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)、圓(yuan)通殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)、大雄寶(bao)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)、齋堂(tang)、客房、山(shan)門等主要建筑。尤其(qi)是大雄寶(bao)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)的五(wu)百羅漢(han)山(shan),其(qi)雕塑造(zao)(zao)型(xing)藝術融全國各地寺(si)(si)院五(wu)百羅漢(han)造(zao)(zao)像風格。寺(si)(si)內還有生長歷史已有五(wu)百多年的古玉蘭和方竹(zhu),其(qi)中古玉蘭只(zhi)每年二月十二開花,二月二十即凋(diao)謝,開花期僅(jin)八天(tian)(tian),故爾(er)有緣(yuan)睹其(qi)花者(zhe)甚為難得(de)。
