【原文】其(qi)(qi)智宏深,譬如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)巨海;菩提高廣(guang),喻若(ruo)須彌;自身(shen)威(wei)光,超于日(ri)月;其(qi)(qi)心(xin)潔(jie)白,猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)雪山(shan);忍辱(ru)如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)地,一切平(ping)等(deng);清凈如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)水,洗諸(zhu)(zhu)塵垢;熾盛如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)火(huo),燒煩惱(nao)薪;不(bu)著如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)風,無(wu)諸(zhu)(zhu)障(zhang)礙。法(fa)(fa)音雷震,覺未覺故(gu)(gu);雨甘露法(fa)(fa),潤眾生(sheng)故(gu)(gu);曠若(ruo)虛空,大慈等(deng)故(gu)(gu);如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)凈蓮華(hua),離染污故(gu)(gu);如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)尼拘樹(shu),覆蔭大故(gu)(gu);如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)金剛(gang)杵,破邪執故(gu)(gu);如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)鐵圍山(shan),眾魔(mo)外(wai)(wai)道不(bu)能(neng)動故(gu)(gu)。其(qi)(qi)心(xin)正直,善(shan)巧決(jue)定(ding);論法(fa)(fa)無(wu)厭,求(qiu)法(fa)(fa)不(bu)倦;戒若(ruo)琉璃,內(nei)外(wai)(wai)明(ming)潔(jie);其(qi)(qi)所言說(shuo)(shuo),令(ling)眾悅服。擊(ji)法(fa)(fa)鼓(gu),建法(fa)(fa)幢,曜慧(hui)日(ri),破癡暗。淳凈溫和(he),寂定(ding)明(ming)察。為(wei)大導師(shi),調伏自他。引導群生(sheng),舍諸(zhu)(zhu)愛(ai)著。永離三垢,游戲神通。因緣愿力,出生(sheng)善(shan)根(gen)。摧伏一切魔(mo)軍(jun),尊重奉(feng)事諸(zhu)(zhu)佛。為(wei)世明(ming)燈,最勝福田,殊勝吉祥,堪(kan)受供養。赫奕(yi)歡喜(xi),雄(xiong)猛(meng)無(wu)畏。身(shen)色相好,功德辯才,具足(zu)莊嚴,無(wu)與等(deng)者(zhe)(zhe)。常為(wei)諸(zhu)(zhu)佛所共稱(cheng)贊(zan)。究竟菩薩(sa)諸(zhu)(zhu)波羅蜜(mi),而常安住不(bu)生(sheng)不(bu)滅諸(zhu)(zhu)三摩地。行遍道場,遠二乘境。阿難,我(wo)今略說(shuo)(shuo)彼極樂界,所生(sheng)菩薩(sa),真(zhen)實功德,悉皆如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)是。若(ruo)廣(guang)說(shuo)(shuo)者(zhe)(zhe),百千萬劫(jie)不(bu)能(neng)窮盡。
【譯文】極樂世(shi)(shi)界(jie)菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)智慧宏大(da)(da)(da)深廣,猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)大(da)(da)(da)海;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)提(ti)覺悟的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)高廣宏大(da)(da)(da),有如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)妙高山(shan);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)自身(shen)顯發的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)威嚴之(zhi)光,超(chao)過了(le)太(tai)陽和(he)月亮;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)心境的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)潔(jie)凈無(wu)垢,又(you)像(xiang)那潔(jie)白(bai)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)大(da)(da)(da)雪山(shan);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)忍受侮辱的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)精(jing)神,與那默(mo)默(mo)承負一(yi)切(qie)重荷的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)大(da)(da)(da)地(di)一(yi)樣(yang):大(da)(da)(da)地(di)載物(wu)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)分輕(qing)重,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)度人也(ye)(ye)(ye)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)分親(qin)疏;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)清(qing)凈境界(jie),可與除(chu)塵(chen)洗垢的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)清(qing)水(shui)相比:清(qing)水(shui)溪流(liu)可洗世(shi)(shi)塵(chen),菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)清(qing)凈可洗心塵(chen);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)智慧熾盛,如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)同(tong)火焰:智慧之(zhi)火燒盡煩惱之(zhi)薪柴(chai);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)執(zhi)著的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)品(pin)性如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)同(tong)大(da)(da)(da)風:風拂世(shi)(shi)界(jie),無(wu)所不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)到,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)行遍世(shi)(shi)界(jie),自由自在而(er)(er)無(wu)所障礙;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)宣(xuan)講(jiang)傳(chuan)布的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)佛法大(da)(da)(da)音,加同(tong)雷聲遠達,震醒了(le)世(shi)(shi)間癡(chi)迷(mi)而(er)(er)未覺悟之(zhi)人;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)教法猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)甘露(lu):甘露(lu)滋潤大(da)(da)(da)地(di)萬物(wu),佛法滋潤眾生心靈;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)平等慈(ci)悲猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)虛空:虛空廣大(da)(da)(da)無(wu)邊無(wu)際,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)慈(ci)悲也(ye)(ye)(ye)無(wu)邊無(wu)際蔭庇(bi)眾生;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)品(pin)格猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)白(bai)蓮:蓮花不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)離(li)污泥(ni)但又(you)出污泥(ni)而(er)(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)染(ran),菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)舍眾生,但身(shen)處濁世(shi)(shi)穢土(tu)而(er)(er)仍(reng)然(ran)清(qing)凈;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)胸懷猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)尼(ni)(ni)枸樹:尼(ni)(ni)枸樹寬闊(kuo)而(er)(er)遮(zhe)陽蔽日,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)胸懷也(ye)(ye)(ye)能(neng)蔭庇(bi)眾生;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)銳(rui)利猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)金剛杵:金剛杵能(neng)摧毀一(yi)切(qie)鎧甲(jia),菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)般(ban)若妙智也(ye)(ye)(ye)能(neng)退;切(qie)煩惱魔(mo)軍(jun);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)堅強(qiang)猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)鐵(tie)圍山(shan):鐵(tie)圍山(shan)堅固(gu)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為一(yi)切(qie)所摧,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)堅強(qiang),也(ye)(ye)(ye)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為眾魔(mo)外道所動搖。
極樂世(shi)界菩薩之(zhi)心(xin)(xin),方(fang)廣平正;順遂機宜,巧行權便,講論佛經(jing)從不(bu)生(sheng)厭,追求佛法(fa)不(bu)知疲倦;持戒(jie)凈潔,譬如(ru)(ru)琉璃(li)清徹;心(xin)(xin)意行動,光明磊落,明鑒(jian)表里(li);菩薩們所(suo)說之(zhi)法(fa),使大(da)家心(xin)(xin)悅誠服(fu);法(fa)音震響,猶(you)如(ru)(ru)擊鼓(gu);威德摧邪,猶(you)如(ru)(ru)建(jian)法(fa)之(zhi)幢;智(zhi)慧照迷,猶(you)如(ru)(ru)燦爛太陽(yang)。破除無(wu)明造成的(de)癡惑,建(jian)成無(wu)貪無(wu)求的(de)淳靜(jing)心(xin)(xin)境;其禪(chan)定(ding)智(zhi)慧溫和,纖毫明察,能入(ru)實際之(zhi)理體。作為大(da)導(dao)師,調伏(fu)抑制自己和他人(ren)的(de)不(bu)安之(zhi)心(xin)(xin)。引(yin)導(dao)群生(sheng),舍(she)離(li)拋棄諸多(duo)愛欲(yu)物著,永遠離(li)開貪、瞋、癡三種污垢,運任游戲于神通(tong)之(zhi)中(zhong)。
極樂世(shi)(shi)界的(de)(de)菩(pu)薩們因為過去所修之善的(de)(de)因緣力,積累功(gong)德生(sheng)出牢(lao)不可破的(de)(de)堅固善心,摧(cui)毀和(he)降伏一(yi)切(qie)惡魔大軍。尊重待奉諸佛;成為照耀世(shi)(shi)界的(de)(de)明燈;得世(shi)(shi)間眾生(sheng)供養(yang),成為世(shi)(shi)間眾生(sheng)最好的(de)(de)福田。菩(pu)薩們具有(you)文殊(shu)大士那樣的(de)(de)智德,堪受一(yi)切(qie)有(you)情供養(yang)。他們威光顯赫,神采奕奕,面貌和(he)悅(yue),內心歡喜,雄健勇猛,無(wu)(wu)畏無(wu)(wu)懼(ju),其(qi)音容(rong)相(xiang)貌非同一(yi)般,又有(you)無(wu)(wu)量的(de)(de)功(gong)德和(he)無(wu)(wu)礙的(de)(de)雄辯才(cai)能莊嚴其(qi)身,如此種(zhong)種(zhong),實(shi)在找不到能與之媲美的(de)(de)了。
“西方極(ji)樂世界的(de)菩(pu)薩(sa)們時(shi)時(shi)得到諸佛的(de)共同(tong)稱(cheng)贊,他們探究完成(cheng)諸菩(pu)薩(sa)該修的(de)覺(jue)悟,而永遠(yuan)處(chu)于不生不滅(mie)的(de)涅盤(pan)正定的(de)狀態,在(zai)(zai)一(yi)切道(dao)場中遍(bian)修所有功(gong)行,遠(yuan)遠(yuan)超離聲聞、緣(yuan)覺(jue)二乘的(de)境(jing)界。阿(a)難(nan)!我(wo)現(xian)在(zai)(zai)只是略略提一(yi)下,那極(ji)樂世界中菩(pu)薩(sa)們的(de)真實功(gong)德,大體上如(ru)我(wo)以上所說,但(dan)若要(yao)廣泛和詳細(xi)地介紹(shao),即使(shi)說上百千萬個時(shi)劫(jie)也難(nan)以說完呢!”
【原文】佛告彌勒菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)、諸天人等:無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)量(liang)壽(shou)國(guo)(guo),聲聞菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa),功德智慧(hui),不(bu)(bu)可(ke)稱(cheng)說。又其國(guo)(guo)土微妙(miao)安樂(le),清(qing)凈(jing)若此。何不(bu)(bu)力為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)善,念(nian)(nian)道(dao)(dao)(dao)之(zhi)自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)。出(chu)入供養,觀經(jing)(jing)行(xing)道(dao)(dao)(dao)。喜樂(le)久習,才猛智慧(hui)。心(xin)(xin)不(bu)(bu)中回,意無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)懈(xie)時。外若遲緩,內獨(du)駛急。容容虛(xu)空,適得其中。中表(biao)相應,自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)嚴(yan)整。檢斂端直,身心(xin)(xin)潔(jie)(jie)凈(jing)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)愛貪,志愿安定(ding)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)增(zeng)缺(que)減,求(qiu)(qiu)道(dao)(dao)(dao)和正(zheng)。不(bu)(bu)誤傾(qing)邪,隨經(jing)(jing)約令(ling)。不(bu)(bu)敢(gan)蹉跌,若于(yu)繩墨。咸(xian)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)道(dao)(dao)(dao)慕,曠無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)他念(nian)(nian)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)憂思,自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)。虛(xu)空無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)立,淡(dan)安無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)欲。作得善愿,盡心(xin)(xin)求(qiu)(qiu)索。含哀慈愍(min),禮(li)義都(dou)合。苞羅表(biao)里,過度解(jie)脫(tuo)。自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)保守,真(zhen)真(zhen)潔(jie)(jie)白。志愿無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)上,凈(jing)定(ding)安樂(le)。一旦開達(da)(da)明徹(che),自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)中自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)相,自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)之(zhi)有(you)根本,自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)光(guang)色參回,轉變最(zui)勝。郁單成(cheng)七寶,橫攬成(cheng)萬(wan)物。光(guang)精明俱出(chu),善好殊無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)比。著于(yu)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)上下,洞達(da)(da)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)邊際。宜各勤(qin)(qin)精進,努力自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)求(qiu)(qiu)之(zhi)。必得超絕去,往生無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)量(liang)清(qing)凈(jing)阿彌陀佛國(guo)(guo)。橫截(jie)于(yu)五趣,惡道(dao)(dao)(dao)自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)閉塞。無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)極之(zhi)勝道(dao)(dao)(dao),易(yi)往而(er)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)人。其國(guo)(guo)不(bu)(bu)逆違,自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)所牽隨。捐志若虛(xu)空,勤(qin)(qin)行(xing)求(qiu)(qiu)道(dao)(dao)(dao)德。可(ke)得極長生,壽(shou)樂(le)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)極。何為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)著世事,譊譊憂無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)常。
【譯文】釋加牟尼佛(fo)又轉而對彌(mi)勒(le)菩薩和(he)諸在(zai)座(zuo)的(de)(de)天人等說道:“無(wu)量(liang)壽(shou)佛(fo)國(guo)中的(de)(de)聲聞、菩薩功(gong)德智慧無(wu)量(liang),是沒有辦法表(biao)述得清的(de)(de)。還有,其國(guo)土如此(ci)微妙,安樂(le)和(he)清凈,你們為什么不(bu)勉力(li)行善(shan),又以所積累的(de)(de)善(shan)功(gong)德回向凈土,自然生(sheng)發往生(sheng)凈土之(zhi)念,由念引導而往生(sheng)極樂(le)世界呢?
“極(ji)樂(le)(le)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)的(de)(de)(de)(de)菩薩(sa)、聲聞等會眾(zhong),出(chu)入(ru)于(yu)(yu)十方(fang)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)供養諸(zhu)佛(fo),閱讀藏經,修行佛(fo)事,皆(jie)樂(le)(le)于(yu)(yu)長(chang)久如(ru)(ru)此。他(ta)們的(de)(de)(de)(de)才(cai)能超世(shi)(shi),智(zhi)慧(hui)圓融,心中(zhong)沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)退(tui)轉(zhuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)念(nian)(nian)頭,意(yi)志沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)片(pian)刻懈怠(dai)放逸(yi);外表看去安(an)閑沉(chen)穩,內(nei)心卻急速地精進不(bu)(bu)已。心同于(yu)(yu)虛(xu)空,沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)一物(wu)而(er)(er)又(you)能容下萬物(wu),沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)邊(bian)際(ji)而(er)(er)又(you)能建立凈土,非(fei)空非(fei)有(you)(you),適(shi)(shi)得(de)不(bu)(bu)落兩邊(bian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)中(zhong)道。聲聞、菩薩(sa)們適(shi)(shi)得(de)中(zhong)道之(zhi)內(nei)心,顯示在(zai)表情上,表里相映(ying)煥然(ran)(ran)成輝,自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)而(er)(er)又(you)嚴(yan)整;檢束(shu)身(shen)體(ti)(ti)的(de)(de)(de)(de)姿態(tai)表情,收斂心中(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)(de)思維意(yi)念(nian)(nian);外表端莊,內(nei)心正直,身(shen)心潔凈,沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)愛欲(yu)(yu)貪(tan)染;他(ta)們的(de)(de)(de)(de)志向誓愿,堅定(ding)不(bu)(bu)移而(er)(er)無些(xie)微缺減;他(ta)們所(suo)追(zhui)求的(de)(de)(de)(de)大道,平和中(zhong)正,永不(bu)(bu)會誤入(ru)狹路(lu)以至邪(xie)道;他(ta)們隨順經中(zhong)言(yan)和戒(jie)律,自(zi)(zi)(zi)覺接(jie)受約束(shu)規定(ding),不(bu)(bu)敢(gan)放逸(yi)而(er)(er)失足逾界(jie)(jie),有(you)(you)如(ru)(ru)木工(gong)操作遵(zun)循墨線,循規蹈(dao)矩(ju);他(ta)們的(de)(de)(de)(de)心所(suo)企(qi)慕,皆(jie)是(shi)正真至道,沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)其他(ta)妄念(nian)(nian)雜念(nian)(nian)拂亂,沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)什么(me)憂慮之(zhi)思干擾;他(ta)們自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)安(an)住于(yu)(yu)無為法中(zhong),心志有(you)(you)如(ru)(ru)虛(xu)空無有(you)(you)一物(wu),淡(dan)泊安(an)寧不(bu)(bu)染物(wu)欲(yu)(yu);以此結成大愿,盡(jin)心盡(jin)力地前(qian)去求索。再者,這(zhe)些(xie)極(ji)樂(le)(le)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)的(de)(de)(de)(de)會眾(zhong)心懷(huai)慈悲(bei)哀憫,契合世(shi)(shi)間道德,融洽現象(xiang)本(ben)質,自(zi)(zi)(zi)度(du)度(du)他(ta),均得(de)解脫(tuo)生死。他(ta)們任運(yun)自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran),保(bao)守(shou)本(ben)來善性潔白無染,志向愿心甚(shen)為高尚,住于(yu)(yu)寂定(ding)而(er)(er)安(an)然(ran)(ran)自(zi)(zi)(zi)適(shi)(shi),日積(ji)月累,便能在(zai)一旦之(zhi)中(zhong)毫(hao)不(bu)(bu)勉(mian)強(qiang)地契合自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)實相,把握根本(ben)的(de)(de)(de)(de)道理。這(zhe)些(xie)聲聞、菩薩(sa)之(zhi)心如(ru)(ru)同神奇珍寶,自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)之(zhi)光和自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)之(zhi)色(se)相互滲入(ru)、回轉(zhuan)變(bian)化,超過十方(fang)的(de)(de)(de)(de)眾(zhong)寶。北方(fang)大洲自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)生出(chu)七寶,橫空中(zhong)自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)涌(yong)現出(chu)萬物(wu),光明(ming)(ming)、精妙、明(ming)(ming)凈齊顯并現,諸(zhu)善眾(zhong)好,無與倫比,皆(jie)由極(ji)樂(le)(le)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)會眾(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)(de)凈心生出(chu)。他(ta)們的(de)(de)(de)(de)智(zhi)慧(hui)明(ming)(ming)證理體(ti)(ti)無有(you)(you)高下,洞達事相沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)邊(bian)際(ji)。”
釋迦(jia)牟尼佛介紹極(ji)(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界(jie)人(ren)(ren)眾(zhong)的(de)功德(de)智慧,又為喚醒法會(hui)大眾(zhong)說:“你們(men)應各自精進勤修(xiu)(xiu),努力自求真如(ru)本心,必得(de)超脫(tuo)輪回,斷除生(sheng)死,往(wang)生(sheng)到(dao)無(wu)量清凈的(de)阿彌(mi)陀佛凈土(tu)。到(dao)那時,頓舍(she)娑(suo)婆世(shi)界(jie)五道輪回,諸多惡道之(zhi)(zhi)門自然關閉;這凈土(tu)法門是最勝之(zhi)(zhi)道,雖然易(yi)得(de)往(wang)生(sheng),可穢(hui)土(tu)修(xiu)(xiu)行的(de)人(ren)(ren)卻很(hen)少。十方無(wu)窮(qiong)極(ji)(ji)的(de)眾(zhong)生(sheng)得(de)益于佛國毫無(wu)逆違往(wang)生(sheng)的(de)性質(另一(yi)解釋:西方凈土(tu)敞開大門,攝受接納十方一(yi)切眾(zhong)生(sheng),然而,娑(suo)婆眾(zhong)生(sheng)久在(zai)煩惱纏(chan)縛(fu)之(zhi)(zhi)中,貪戀(lian)世(shi)樂(le),不生(sheng)厭離,陷于自身(shen)結構性的(de)困境,焉(yan)得(de)往(wang)生(sheng)?)。大家捐(juan)除煩惱,其志(zhi)應如(ru)虛空,凈無(wu)垢染,勤奮修(xiu)(xiu)行,進道增(zeng)德(de),便可以在(zai)凈土(tu)獲(huo)得(de)長生(sheng)不老,和極(ji)(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界(jie)人(ren)(ren)眾(zhong)一(yi)樣長壽安樂(le),生(sheng)命無(wu)有極(ji)(ji)限(xian)。既如(ru)此,為什么還要貪著世(shi)間俗事俗利(li),沒(mei)完沒(mei)了(le)地憂慮,為世(shi)間無(wu)常所(suo)折磨呢?”
【原文】世人共爭不(bu)急之務,于此劇(ju)惡極苦之中,勤身營務,以(yi)自(zi)給濟。尊卑、貧(pin)富、少(shao)長、男女,累念(nian)積(ji)慮,為心走使。無(wu)(wu)田憂(you)田,無(wu)(wu)宅憂(you)宅,眷屬財物,有(you)無(wu)(wu)同憂(you)。有(you)一(yi)少(shao)一(yi),思欲(yu)齊(qi)等,適小具有(you),又(you)憂(you)非常。水火(huo)盜賊,怨家(jia)債主(zhu),焚(fen)漂劫奪,消散磨滅。心慳意固,無(wu)(wu)能縱舍。
命終棄捐,莫誰隨者。貧富同然(ran),憂苦萬端。
世間(jian)人民,父子(zi)兄弟夫婦親屬(shu),當相(xiang)敬愛,無(wu)相(xiang)憎嫉。有無(wu)相(xiang)通,無(wu)得貪惜(xi)。言色常(chang)和(he),莫相(xiang)違(wei)戾。或時(shi)心諍,有所恚(hui)怒。后世轉劇(ju),至成(cheng)大怨。世間(jian)之事,更相(xiang)患(huan)害,雖不臨時(shi),應急想(xiang)破。
人在愛(ai)欲(yu)之中,獨(du)生獨(du)死,獨(du)去獨(du)來,苦(ku)樂自當(dang),無有代者。善惡(e)變化,追逐所(suo)生,道路不同(tong),會見無期。何(he)不于強健時,努力修(xiu)善,欲(yu)何(he)待乎?
世人善(shan)惡自不(bu)(bu)能(neng)見,吉(ji)兇禍福,競(jing)各作之(zhi)。身愚(yu)神暗(an),轉受余(yu)教。顛(dian)倒相續,無(wu)常(chang)根本(ben)。蒙(meng)冥(ming)抵突,不(bu)(bu)信經(jing)法。心無(wu)遠慮,各欲快(kuai)意(yi)。迷于瞋恚,貪于財色。終不(bu)(bu)休止,哀哉可傷!先(xian)人不(bu)(bu)善(shan),不(bu)(bu)識道德(de),無(wu)有語者,殊無(wu)怪也。
死生(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)趣,善惡之(zhi)(zhi)道,都不之(zhi)(zhi)信,謂無有(you)是。更相(xiang)瞻視(shi),且(qie)自(zi)見之(zhi)(zhi)。或(huo)父哭(ku)子,或(huo)子哭(ku)父,兄弟(di)夫婦,更相(xiang)哭(ku)泣。一死一生(sheng),迭相(xiang)顧戀。憂愛結縛,無有(you)解時。思想恩好,不離情欲(yu)。不能(neng)深思熟計,專精行道。年壽旋盡,無可奈何。
惑(huo)道者眾,悟(wu)道者少。各懷(huai)殺毒,惡氣(qi)冥冥。為妄興事,違逆天(tian)地。恣意罪極,頓奪(duo)其壽。下入(ru)惡道,無(wu)有出期(qi)。
若曹當(dang)熟思計,遠離眾惡。擇其善者,勤而(er)行之(zhi)。愛欲榮(rong)華(hua),不可常保,皆(jie)當(dang)別離,無可樂者。當(dang)勤精(jing)進,生安樂國。智慧(hui)明達,功德殊勝。勿(wu)得隨心(xin)所欲,虧負(fu)經(jing)戒,在人后(hou)也。
【譯文】“世(shi)(shi)間的(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)們都(dou)在計較那瑣細無益的(de)世(shi)(shi)利俗務,在此苦痛不堪的(de)五惡(e)世(shi)(shi)間,辛勤(qin)勞作,經營(ying)(ying)生計,以(yi)求自給,于苦中(zhong)求快(kuai)樂;世(shi)(shi)間蕓蕓眾(zhong)生中(zhong),無論大(da)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)物(wu)或(huo)小(xiao)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)物(wu),富(fu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)或(huo)窮人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),少年或(huo)老人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),男人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)或(huo)女人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),種種一(yi)切(qie)之(zhi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),都(dou)因為貪(tan)欲之(zhi)念長期累積,處心(xin)(xin)積慮(lv)只(zhi)求一(yi)快(kuai),其實貪(tan)欲之(zhi)心(xin)(xin)不過導致奔波勞碌。沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)田(tian)地的(de)想(xiang)要得田(tian)地,沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)房屋的(de)想(xiang)要得房屋,沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)家眷(juan)、親屬、妻室兒女以(yi)及沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)財(cai)物(wu)、產業、珍寶、器物(wu)的(de),也(ye)(ye)都(dou)處心(xin)(xin)積慮(lv),盤算(suan)鉆營(ying)(ying),必欲據有(you)(you)(you)(you)而后心(xin)(xin)安。沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)有(you)(you)(you)(you)所憂苦,已有(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)也(ye)(ye)不得安逸。有(you)(you)(you)(you)一(yi)些(xie)財(cai)物(wu)反而欲海難(nan)填,希望(wang)再多(duo)得一(yi)星半點。有(you)(you)(you)(you)了一(yi)件(jian)的(de)覺(jue)得一(yi)件(jian)太少,有(you)(you)(you)(you)了兩(liang)件(jian)的(de)又(you)覺(jue)得兩(liang)件(jian)還少,欲望(wang)和獲取(qu),總是相(xiang)逐相(xiang)長,沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)止境(jing)。才達到小(xiao)有(you)(you)(you)(you)資產,旋即(ji)擔心(xin)(xin)遭(zao)遇(yu)損(sun)失;害(hai)(hai)怕(pa)(pa)火災焚燒,害(hai)(hai)怕(pa)(pa)水災流漂,害(hai)(hai)怕(pa)(pa)盜賊偷竊,害(hai)(hai)怕(pa)(pa)土(tu)匪劫奪,害(hai)(hai)怕(pa)(pa)冤家仇(chou)殺,害(hai)(hai)怕(pa)(pa)債主(zhu)催逼。憂懼之(zhi)中(zhong),清凈本心(xin)(xin)在此消散磨滅。慳(qian)吝之(zhi)心(xin)(xin),反倒越(yue)(yue)來越(yue)(yue)頑固,煩惱纏縛,在泥(ni)坑中(zhong)越(yue)(yue)陷越(yue)(yue)深。
“世(shi)間一切人命(ming)終之時,不管你(ni)(ni)有多少眷屬,積存了多少財寶(bao),全部要舍離拋棄(qi)。你(ni)(ni)所(suo)鐘愛(ai)的(de)物也(ye)(ye)(ye)罷,人也(ye)(ye)(ye)罷,都不會(hui)隨你(ni)(ni)去那(nei)另一世(shi)間;即(ji)或去到另一世(shi)間也(ye)(ye)(ye)不能同你(ni)(ni)在一起(qi)。富人和窮人,在此(ci)陰(yin)間地(di)下也(ye)(ye)(ye)都平等無差,個中憂(you)苦,萬端無盡。
“世(shi)間的(de)人民(min)——父子、兄弟(di)、夫(fu)婦、親(qin)屬,應(ying)(ying)當相(xiang)互(hu)(hu)尊(zun)敬友愛,不(bu)要(yao)相(xiang)互(hu)(hu)憎恨(hen)與嫉(ji)妒;應(ying)(ying)當互(hu)(hu)相(xiang)幫(bang)助(zhu)救(jiu)護,有(you)什么財物要(yao)互(hu)(hu)相(xiang)周(zhou)濟,不(bu)要(yao)貪圖吝惜;應(ying)(ying)當說話和氣(qi),和顏(yan)悅色,互(hu)(hu)尊(zun)互(hu)(hu)敬,不(bu)要(yao)背(bei)逆斗狠;一時生(sheng)起爭(zheng)訟(song)之心,心里(li)不(bu)免嗔恚(hui)忿怒,惡(e)意愈演(yan)愈烈,最(zui)終結成大(da)恨(hen)深(shen)仇;世(shi)間若冤冤相(xiang)報,更(geng)會結成丈冤大(da)孽,兩家相(xiang)爭(zheng),雙方(fang)都招禍害(hai);即令有(you)時報應(ying)(ying)沒有(you)立即顯現,還以為自(zi)己占了上風,但因果相(xiang)生(sheng),從(cong)來不(bu)爽,惡(e)報只(zhi)是時間問題。眾(zhong)生(sheng)應(ying)(ying)當想(xiang)透這個道理(li)而立即破除恚(hui)恨(hen),棄惡(e)向善(shan)。
“人(ren)沉(chen)溺在情愛貪欲之(zhi)中(zhong),獨(du)(du)身(shen)而來,孤獨(du)(du)而死,生(sheng)(sheng)無(wu)人(ren)相隨(sui),死無(wu)人(ren)陪伴,苦樂之(zhi)果報(bao),都是(shi)自(zi)作自(zi)受,沒有(you)誰能代替,也無(wu)人(ren)可以除免。善(shan)與惡(e)的循環果報(bao)千變萬化,追從相隨(sui),直到來生(sheng)(sheng)來世。雖是(shi)親(qin)眷(juan)家屬,善(shan)有(you)善(shan)報(bao),惡(e)有(you)惡(e)報(bao),善(shan)生(sheng)(sheng)善(shan)趣,惡(e)降惡(e)道,若積業(ye)有(you)差,生(sheng)(sheng)處也就不同(tong),到那時便(bian)無(wu)從會見,何不趁此(ci)強健在世之(zhi)時,努(nu)力修(xiu)行善(shan)道,還(huan)將(jiang)等到什么時候?
“世(shi)間之(zhi)人因為不(bu)(bu)(bu)能夠認識什(shen)么是善,什(shen)么是惡,各以自己(ji)的(de)愚(yu)癡,妄(wang)加分別(bie)猜測吉(ji)兇禍福,競(jing)相造作(zuo)惡業(ye)(ye),身作(zuo)愚(yu)行,頭腦中一片黑暗,不(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)(xin)受經法(fa),反而(er)接受其他的(de)外道邪(xie)說。如是的(de)顛倒(dao)之(zhi)見(jian),相續(xu)不(bu)(bu)(bu)絕,成為生死(si)無常輪(lun)回的(de)根本動力,這就(jiu)(jiu)像蒙上眼睛什(shen)么也看不(bu)(bu)(bu)見(jian),卻一味胡(hu)沖亂闖。不(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)(xin)受佛(fo)教經法(fa),心(xin)便沒(mei)有遠慮,一心(xin)追(zhui)求(qiu)于現世(shi)之(zhi)樂;癡迷(mi)于瞋恚忿(fen)怒而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)自覺,貪吝財物女色(se)而(er)以為欣然。肆無忌憚(dan),沒(mei)有終(zhong)了之(zhi)時,真(zhen)正悲哀,實(shi)在可憐(lian)!上輩(bei)愚(yu)癡,不(bu)(bu)(bu)知佛(fo)道,不(bu)(bu)(bu)懂道德,不(bu)(bu)(bu)對后(hou)輩(bei)進行教導,世(shi)代(dai)惡業(ye)(ye)相襲,癡頑無知,世(shi)世(shi)作(zuo)惡受報,就(jiu)(jiu)沒(mei)有什(shen)么可奇怪的(de)了。
“世間之(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)(ren),對生(sheng)死(si)(si)輪(lun)回于六道(dao),前生(sheng)積善,下世得善,前生(sheng)積惡,下世得惡的規律,不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)相信奉受(shou),以為并(bing)沒有因果(guo)報應。更有甚者,看到別(bie)人(ren)(ren)死(si)(si)了(le)袖手旁(pang)觀,無(wu)(wu)動于衷,殊不(bu)(bu)(bu)知生(sheng)死(si)(si)之(zhi)(zhi)事遲早(zao)必然要落到自己頭上。父子、兄(xiong)弟、夫婦等親屬死(si)(si)別(bie)之(zhi)(zhi)時,相互哭(ku)泣。相愛的人(ren)(ren)生(sheng)離死(si)(si)別(bie),一(yi)次次地戀顧難分,恩愛轉(zhuan)化為憂苦,如結繩自相束縛,哪里還(huan)有解脫的時候(hou)?思(si)想(xiang)生(sheng)前的恩恩愛愛,考慮(lv)親善友誼,無(wu)(wu)不(bu)(bu)(bu)是情欲所(suo)支配。不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)深(shen)思(si)熟慮(lv)而(er)專心(xin)精勤地修(xiu)行佛道(dao),人(ren)(ren)生(sheng)苦短(duan),年壽一(yi)期,轉(zhuan)瞬即盡(jin),衰老(lao)來(lai)臨(lin),則(ze)一(yi)籌莫展,徒感無(wu)(wu)可奈何!
“世間對(dui)佛法不理解而迷(mi)惑的(de)(de)人(ren)多,醒悟(wu)得道的(de)(de)人(ren)少,各(ge)人(ren)心(xin)懷殘(can)傷他人(ren)的(de)(de)心(xin)念,惡氣冥冥昏(hun)暗,如是造惡之人(ren)由妄心(xin)興(xing)起各(ge)種事端,違背(bei)天命(ming),不顧人(ren)意,恣意作(zuo)惡,惡貫滿(man)盈(ying),頓時(shi)之間便(bian)會(hui)奪去陽壽(shou),下墮于地(di)獄(yu)、餓鬼、畜生(sheng)惡道,永無出頭(tou)之期(qi)。
“你們應當深(shen)思(si)熟(shu)慮,遠遠脫離(li)各種(zhong)惡(e)業,選擇善事,勤苦地修行之(zhi)。富貴榮華不可能長久保持,到時候都(dou)將離(li)你而去。富貴榮華其實也都(dou)是‘苦’,沒(mei)有(you)什(shen)么可稱為‘樂(le)’的(de)。你們應當勤奮精(jing)進(jin),求生西方(fang)極(ji)(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界。得生西方(fang)極(ji)(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界,則智慧明了(le)通達,功德最大(da)。千萬不要隨(sui)心所欲,虧負(fu)于經(jing)教戒(jie)行,落(luo)在(zai)他(ta)人之(zhi)后。”
【原文】彌(mi)勒(le)白言:佛(fo)(fo)(fo)語教(jiao)(jiao)戒,甚深甚善。皆(jie)蒙(meng)慈恩,解脫(tuo)憂(you)苦(ku)(ku)。佛(fo)(fo)(fo)為法王,尊(zun)超群圣(sheng),光明徹照(zhao),洞達無極(ji),普為一(yi)切天人(ren)之(zhi)師。今(jin)得值佛(fo)(fo)(fo),復聞無量壽聲,靡不歡喜,心(xin)(xin)得開明。佛(fo)(fo)(fo)告彌(mi)勒(le):敬(jing)于佛(fo)(fo)(fo)者(zhe),是為大(da)善。實當(dang)念(nian)佛(fo)(fo)(fo),截斷狐疑。拔諸(zhu)愛(ai)欲,杜眾惡源。游步(bu)三界,無所罣礙。開示正道(dao),度未度者(zhe)。若曹當(dang)知十方人(ren)民,永(yong)劫(jie)以(yi)來,輾轉五道(dao),憂(you)苦(ku)(ku)不絕。生(sheng)時苦(ku)(ku)痛(tong)(tong),老亦苦(ku)(ku)痛(tong)(tong),病(bing)極(ji)苦(ku)(ku)痛(tong)(tong),死極(ji)苦(ku)(ku)痛(tong)(tong)。惡臭不凈(jing),無可(ke)樂者(zhe)。宜自(zi)決斷,洗除心(xin)(xin)垢。言行忠信,表里(li)相(xiang)應。人(ren)能(neng)自(zi)度,轉相(xiang)拯濟。至心(xin)(xin)求愿,積累善本。雖一(yi)世精(jing)進勤苦(ku)(ku),須臾間耳。后生(sheng)無量壽國(guo),快樂無極(ji)。永(yong)拔生(sheng)死之(zhi)本,無復苦(ku)(ku)惱之(zhi)患(huan)。壽千(qian)萬劫(jie),自(zi)在隨(sui)意(yi)。宜各(ge)精(jing)進,求心(xin)(xin)所愿。無得疑悔,自(zi)為過咎,生(sheng)彼邊地(di)七(qi)寶城(cheng)中,于五百歲受(shou)諸(zhu)厄也(ye)。彌(mi)勒(le)白言:受(shou)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)明誨,專精(jing)修學。如教(jiao)(jiao)奉(feng)行,不敢(gan)有疑。
【譯文】彌(mi)勒(le)菩薩于(yu)是說(shuo)(shuo):“佛(fo)說(shuo)(shuo)了(le)教(jiao)人(ren)修(xiu)善的(de)法(fa)義,非(fei)常深刻非(fei)常善妙。我等會眾(zhong)都蒙(meng)佛(fo)慈悲之恩,得(de)聞要津,以(yi)解脫于(yu)生(sheng)死憂苦。佛(fo)為法(fa)王(wang),超過(guo)諸天(tian)圣人(ren)而(er)為至尊,佛(fo)所(suo)說(shuo)(shuo)之法(fa)如同光明,澈照十方,洞達無(wu)窮。佛(fo)是所(suo)有(you)有(you)緣眾(zhong)生(sheng)的(de)導(dao)師。現在得(de)以(yi)在這里見到(dao)佛(fo)并聽(ting)聞說(shuo)(shuo)法(fa),實在難(nan)得(de),更難(nan)得(de)的(de)是聽(ting)聞到(dao)有(you)關無(wu)量壽佛(fo)的(de)聲(sheng)音,大家(jia)沒有(you)一(yi)個不歡欣鼓舞的(de),我們的(de)心因(yin)此得(de)以(yi)澈悟而(er)明了(le)真(zhen)諦。”
釋迦牟(mou)尼(ni)佛告誨彌勒:“恭敬于(yu)佛的(de)(de)人,他是有(you)大善之(zhi)(zhi)人,應當實(shi)實(shi)際際地念(nian)佛,截斷(duan)狐疑猜忌,拔除各種愛欲,杜(du)絕(jue)各種惡(e)意惡(e)念(nian)的(de)(de)源頭,雖然奔(ben)走于(yu)三界世(shi)間(jian)穢土,卻無(wu)(wu)(wu)所牽掛,無(wu)(wu)(wu)所障礙(ai),向眾生(sheng)(sheng)開示講演佛法正道,度(du)化還未得度(du)化的(de)(de)有(you)情眾生(sheng)(sheng)。你們應當知道,十方(fang)世(shi)界的(de)(de)人民,從無(wu)(wu)(wu)比(bi)久(jiu)遠以來,反復輾轉(zhuan)、輪回于(yu)天、人、畜生(sheng)(sheng)、餓鬼和地獄五道,沉淪生(sheng)(sheng)死(si),憂苦不絕(jue)。誕(dan)生(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)時(shi)有(you)‘生(sheng)(sheng)苦’之(zhi)(zhi)痛,壽終之(zhi)(zhi)時(shi)有(you)‘死(si)苦’之(zhi)(zhi)痛,身(shen)體臭惡(e)而不清凈,沒有(you)什么可稱(cheng)為(wei)‘快樂’的(de)(de)。應自下決心,斷(duan)絕(jue)惡(e)因,洗濯心中的(de)(de)污垢,如言而行(xing),如行(xing)而言,表(biao)里如一,誠實(shi)無(wu)(wu)(wu)欺。
“洗除(chu)了污垢而表里如一(yi)(yi)的(de)人(ren),能(neng)夠自行度(du)脫,由自度(du)轉而拯救濟度(du)他人(ren)。一(yi)(yi)心(xin)求(qiu)取往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)西方極樂凈土的(de)大愿,稱名念佛,積累善本(ben)。雖一(yi)(yi)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)一(yi)(yi)世(shi)精進(jin)修行十分勤苦(ku)(ku),但這(zhe)一(yi)(yi)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之苦(ku)(ku),較(jiao)之一(yi)(yi)個(ge)人(ren)的(de)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)世(shi)世(shi),只(zhi)猶如片(pian)刻之間。此生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之勤苦(ku)(ku),使后世(shi)得以往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)無(wu)量(liang)壽國,享(xiang)受無(wu)窮無(wu)盡的(de)快樂,拔除(chu)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死根本(ben)惡因,遠離苦(ku)(ku)病(bing)煩惱之患(huan),壽命長達(da)千(qian)萬時(shi)劫,自在神通而諸事(shi)隨心(xin)所欲。”
釋迦牟尼(ni)佛復喻眾生(sheng):“你(ni)們應各(ge)自精進專修,把(ba)往生(sheng)凈(jing)土的愿(yuan)望切實地(di)變為行動。不(bu)要疑惑,不(bu)要中途反悔(hui),以免錯過時(shi)機(ji),造成(cheng)錯誤(wu)罪(zui)行,以至往生(sheng)時(shi)到了西方(fang)極樂凈(jing)土的邊地(di)之國,在懷疑佛智(zhi)的眾生(sheng)聚(ju)集的七寶獄中,于五百年的時(shi)間內(nei),不(bu)得(de)見(jian)佛、法、僧三寶,不(bu)得(de)聞(wen)諸經佛法,受諸不(bu)幸處罰。”
彌(mi)勒菩薩領(ling)受佛旨(zhi),乃向佛言:“今天我們承受了佛明(ming)白(bai)完(wan)備的(de)教誨,我等當專(zhuan)一修行,精進學習,按佛的(de)教導誠(cheng)心奉行,不敢生出半點疑惑(huo)。”
【原文】佛(fo)告彌勒:汝等能于(yu)此(ci)世(shi)(shi)(shi),端(duan)(duan)心(xin)(xin)正意(yi),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e),甚為(wei)(wei)(wei)大德(de)。所(suo)(suo)以者何(he)?十方世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie),善(shan)(shan)多(duo)惡(e)(e)(e)少,易可(ke)(ke)(ke)開化(hua)。唯(wei)此(ci)五惡(e)(e)(e)世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian),最為(wei)(wei)(wei)劇苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)。我(wo)今于(yu)此(ci)作(zuo)佛(fo),教化(hua)群生(sheng),令舍五惡(e)(e)(e),去(qu)五痛(tong),離五燒(shao),降化(hua)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)意(yi),令持五善(shan)(shan),獲其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)福德(de)。何(he)等為(wei)(wei)(wei)五?其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)一(yi)者,世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)諸眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)類,欲為(wei)(wei)(wei)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)。強者伏(fu)弱,轉相(xiang)(xiang)克賊,殘害(hai)(hai)殺傷(shang),迭相(xiang)(xiang)吞(tun)啖,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知為(wei)(wei)(wei)善(shan)(shan),后(hou)受(shou)殃(yang)罰。故有(you)(you)(you)窮乞、孤獨(du)、聾盲、喑啞、癡(chi)惡(e)(e)(e)、尪(wang)狂,皆(jie)因前世(shi)(shi)(shi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)(xin)道(dao)(dao)(dao)德(de),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)為(wei)(wei)(wei)善(shan)(shan)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)有(you)(you)(you)尊(zun)貴、豪富(fu)、賢明(ming)(ming)、長者、智勇、才達,皆(jie)由宿世(shi)(shi)(shi)慈(ci)孝,修善(shan)(shan)積德(de)所(suo)(suo)致。世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)有(you)(you)(you)此(ci)目前現事(shi),壽(shou)(shou)終之(zhi)后(hou),入(ru)(ru)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)幽(you)冥(ming)。轉生(sheng)受(shou)身(shen)(shen)(shen),改形(xing)(xing)易道(dao)(dao)(dao)。故有(you)(you)(you)泥犁、禽獸、蜎飛蠕動(dong)之(zhi)屬(shu)(shu)。譬(pi)如(ru)(ru)世(shi)(shi)(shi)法(fa)(fa)牢(lao)獄,劇苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)極刑,魂神(shen)命(ming)(ming)(ming)精(jing),隨(sui)罪趣向。所(suo)(suo)受(shou)壽(shou)(shou)命(ming)(ming)(ming),或(huo)(huo)長或(huo)(huo)短(duan),相(xiang)(xiang)從(cong)共生(sheng),更相(xiang)(xiang)報(bao)償。殃(yang)惡(e)(e)(e)未(wei)盡(jin),終不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)得(de)離。輾轉其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中(zhong),累(lei)(lei)劫(jie)難(nan)(nan)出(chu)。難(nan)(nan)得(de)解脫,痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)(ke)(ke)言(yan)(yan)。天(tian)地(di)之(zhi)間(jian),自(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)有(you)(you)(you)是。雖(sui)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)即時(shi)暴應(ying),善(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)會當(dang)(dang)歸之(zhi)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)二者,世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民(min)(min)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)順(shun)法(fa)(fa)度。奢(she)淫驕縱,任心(xin)(xin)自(zi)(zi)恣。居上不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)明(ming)(ming),在位不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)正。陷人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)冤枉,損害(hai)(hai)忠(zhong)良。心(xin)(xin)口(kou)各異(yi),機偽多(duo)端(duan)(duan)。尊(zun)卑中(zhong)外,更相(xiang)(xiang)欺誑。瞋恚愚(yu)癡(chi),欲自(zi)(zi)厚己,欲貪多(duo)有(you)(you)(you)。利(li)害(hai)(hai)勝負,結(jie)忿成仇。破(po)家(jia)(jia)亡身(shen)(shen)(shen),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)顧(gu)前后(hou)。富(fu)有(you)(you)(you)慳(qian)惜,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)施與(yu)。愛保貪重,心(xin)(xin)勞(lao)身(shen)(shen)(shen)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)。如(ru)(ru)是至竟,無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)一(yi)隨(sui)者。善(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)禍(huo)福,追(zhui)命(ming)(ming)(ming)所(suo)(suo)生(sheng)。或(huo)(huo)在樂處,或(huo)(huo)入(ru)(ru)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)毒。又或(huo)(huo)見善(shan)(shan)憎謗,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思(si)慕及(ji)。常懷盜心(xin)(xin),悕望他利(li)。用(yong)自(zi)(zi)供給(gei),消散復(fu)取(qu)。神(shen)明(ming)(ming)克識,終入(ru)(ru)惡(e)(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)(dao)。自(zi)(zi)有(you)(you)(you)三途(tu)(tu)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)量(liang)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)惱(nao),輾轉其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中(zhong),累(lei)(lei)劫(jie)難(nan)(nan)出(chu),痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)(ke)(ke)言(yan)(yan)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)三者,世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民(min)(min)相(xiang)(xiang)因寄生(sheng),壽(shou)(shou)命(ming)(ming)(ming)幾(ji)何(he)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)良之(zhi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),身(shen)(shen)(shen)心(xin)(xin)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)正。常懷邪惡(e)(e)(e),常念(nian)(nian)(nian)淫欲。煩(fan)滿胸中(zhong),邪態外逸。費損家(jia)(jia)財,事(shi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)非法(fa)(fa)。所(suo)(suo)當(dang)(dang)求者,而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)為(wei)(wei)(wei)。又或(huo)(huo)交結(jie)聚會,興(xing)兵相(xiang)(xiang)伐。攻劫(jie)殺戮,強奪迫脅。歸給(gei)妻子,極身(shen)(shen)(shen)作(zuo)樂。眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)共憎厭,患而(er)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)之(zhi)。如(ru)(ru)是之(zhi)惡(e)(e)(e),著于(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)鬼。神(shen)明(ming)(ming)記識,自(zi)(zi)入(ru)(ru)三途(tu)(tu)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)量(liang)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)惱(nao),輾轉其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中(zhong)。累(lei)(lei)劫(jie)難(nan)(nan)出(chu),痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)(ke)(ke)言(yan)(yan)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)四者,世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民(min)(min)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)念(nian)(nian)(nian)修善(shan)(shan)。兩舌(she)、惡(e)(e)(e)口(kou)、妄言(yan)(yan)、綺(qi)語(yu)。憎嫉善(shan)(shan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),敗壞賢明(ming)(ming)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)孝父(fu)(fu)母(mu),輕慢(man)師長。朋(peng)友無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)信(xin)(xin),難(nan)(nan)得(de)誠實。尊(zun)貴自(zi)(zi)大,謂(wei)己有(you)(you)(you)道(dao)(dao)(dao)。橫(heng)行(xing)(xing)威(wei)勢,侵易于(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)。欲人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)畏敬,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)自(zi)(zi)慚懼。難(nan)(nan)可(ke)(ke)(ke)降化(hua),常懷驕慢(man)。賴其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)前世(shi)(shi)(shi),福德(de)營護。今世(shi)(shi)(shi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)惡(e)(e)(e),福德(de)盡(jin)滅。壽(shou)(shou)命(ming)(ming)(ming)終盡(jin),諸惡(e)(e)(e)繞歸。又其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)名籍(ji),記在神(shen)明(ming)(ming)。殃(yang)咎(jiu)牽引,無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)從(cong)舍離。但得(de)前行(xing)(xing),入(ru)(ru)于(yu)火鑊。身(shen)(shen)(shen)心(xin)(xin)摧碎,神(shen)形(xing)(xing)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)極。當(dang)(dang)斯(si)之(zhi)時(shi),悔(hui)復(fu)何(he)及(ji)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)五者,世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民(min)(min)徙倚懈怠。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)作(zuo)善(shan)(shan),治身(shen)(shen)(shen)修業(ye)。父(fu)(fu)母(mu)教誨,違戾反(fan)逆。譬(pi)如(ru)(ru)怨家(jia)(jia),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)如(ru)(ru)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)子。負恩(en)(en)違義(yi),無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)(you)(you)報(bao)償。放(fang)恣游散,耽酒嗜美。魯扈抵突,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)識人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)情。無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)義(yi)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)禮(li),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)(ke)(ke)諫(jian)曉。六(liu)親眷屬(shu)(shu),資用(yong)有(you)(you)(you)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能憂念(nian)(nian)(nian)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)惟父(fu)(fu)母(mu)之(zhi)恩(en)(en),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)存(cun)師友之(zhi)義(yi)。意(yi)念(nian)(nian)(nian)身(shen)(shen)(shen)口(kou),曾無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)一(yi)善(shan)(shan)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)(xin)諸佛(fo)經(jing)法(fa)(fa),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)(xin)生(sheng)死善(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)。欲害(hai)(hai)真人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),斗亂(luan)僧眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)。愚(yu)癡(chi)蒙(meng)昧,自(zi)(zi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)智慧。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知生(sheng)所(suo)(suo)從(cong)來,死所(suo)(suo)趣向。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)仁不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)順(shun),希望長生(sheng)。慈(ci)心(xin)(xin)教誨,而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)信(xin)(xin)。苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)口(kou)與(yu)語(yu),無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)益其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)。心(xin)(xin)中(zhong)閉塞,意(yi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)開解。大命(ming)(ming)(ming)將終,悔(hui)懼交至。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)預修善(shan)(shan),臨時(shi)乃(nai)悔(hui)。悔(hui)之(zhi)于(yu)后(hou),將何(he)及(ji)乎(hu)!天(tian)地(di)之(zhi)間(jian),五道(dao)(dao)(dao)分明(ming)(ming)。善(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)報(bao)應(ying),禍(huo)福相(xiang)(xiang)承。身(shen)(shen)(shen)自(zi)(zi)當(dang)(dang)之(zhi),無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)誰代者。善(shan)(shan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)行(xing)(xing)善(shan)(shan),從(cong)樂入(ru)(ru)樂,從(cong)明(ming)(ming)入(ru)(ru)明(ming)(ming)。惡(e)(e)(e)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)行(xing)(xing)惡(e)(e)(e),從(cong)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)入(ru)(ru)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku),從(cong)冥(ming)入(ru)(ru)冥(ming)。誰能知者,獨(du)佛(fo)知耳。教語(yu)開示,信(xin)(xin)行(xing)(xing)者少。生(sheng)死不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)休(xiu),惡(e)(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)(dao)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)絕(jue)。如(ru)(ru)是世(shi)(shi)(shi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),難(nan)(nan)可(ke)(ke)(ke)具盡(jin)。故有(you)(you)(you)自(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)三途(tu)(tu),無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)量(liang)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)惱(nao),輾轉其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中(zhong)。世(shi)(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi)(shi)累(lei)(lei)劫(jie),無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)(you)(you)出(chu)期。難(nan)(nan)得(de)解脫,痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)(ke)(ke)言(yan)(yan)。如(ru)(ru)是五惡(e)(e)(e)、五痛(tong)、五燒(shao),譬(pi)如(ru)(ru)大火,焚(fen)燒(shao)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)身(shen)(shen)(shen)。若能自(zi)(zi)于(yu)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中(zhong)一(yi)心(xin)(xin)制意(yi),端(duan)(duan)身(shen)(shen)(shen)正念(nian)(nian)(nian),言(yan)(yan)行(xing)(xing)相(xiang)(xiang)副,所(suo)(suo)作(zuo)至誠,獨(du)作(zuo)諸善(shan)(shan),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)。身(shen)(shen)(shen)獨(du)度脫,獲其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)福德(de),可(ke)(ke)(ke)得(de)長壽(shou)(shou)泥洹(huan)之(zhi)道(dao)(dao)(dao)。是為(wei)(wei)(wei)五大善(shan)(shan)也。
【譯文】釋迦(jia)牟尼佛告訴(su)彌勒說:“你等能(neng)(neng)于(yu)此(ci)(ci)(ci)(ci)濁世之中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)正(zheng)心誠意,不(bu)為(wei)種(zhong)(zhong)種(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)(e)業,堪可(ke)稱(cheng)為(wei)‘大德’。為(wei)什么這(zhe)樣說呢(ni)?十方諸佛世界善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)多(duo)惡(e)(e)少(shao),容易接受開(kai)導教(jiao)化,唯有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)此(ci)(ci)(ci)(ci)五(wu)惡(e)(e)世間(jian)(jian),‘苦(ku)’最大最多(duo)。我現(xian)今在此(ci)(ci)(ci)(ci)作佛,教(jiao)化群生(sheng),欲使他們舍掉‘五(wu)惡(e)(e)’,去脫(tuo)‘五(wu)痛(tong)’,離(li)開(kai)‘五(wu)燒’,降伏化除他們的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)癡迷(mi)之心,讓他們守持‘五(wu)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)’,使他們獲(huo)得(de)福德。這(zhe)‘五(wu)’是(shi)什么呢(ni)?其一(yi)者(zhe),世間(jian)(jian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)諸眾生(sheng)類(lei),想(xiang)作種(zhong)(zhong)種(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)(e)事(shi),強(qiang)(qiang)(qiang)者(zhe)降伏弱(ruo)(ruo)者(zhe),強(qiang)(qiang)(qiang)者(zhe)身(shen)后又有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)更(geng)(geng)(geng)(geng)強(qiang)(qiang)(qiang)者(zhe)降伏他,輾轉相(xiang)制,殘(can)害傷(shang)殺,大的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)吞食小的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de),吞食者(zhe)又被更(geng)(geng)(geng)(geng)大的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)所吞。以暴凌善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),以強(qiang)(qiang)(qiang)欺(qi)弱(ruo)(ruo),完全不(bu)懂得(de)相(xiang)互為(wei)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)。因(yin)(yin)為(wei)眾生(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)如(ru)此(ci)(ci)(ci)(ci)作惡(e)(e)而其來(lai)生(sheng)受到(dao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)(guo)(guo)報和懲罰。所以,這(zhe)世間(jian)(jian)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)貧窮、有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)乞丐(gai),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)無父(fu)母,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)無兒(er)女,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)聾,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)瞎,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)啞(ya),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)癡呆,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)惡(e)(e)毒,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)殘(can)廢,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)瘋(feng)狂,這(zhe)都(dou)是(shi)因(yin)(yin)為(wei)前(qian)世不(bu)信道,不(bu)積德,不(bu)為(wei)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),所受的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)‘殃罰’。世間(jian)(jian)也有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)尊貴,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)豪富,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)賢明,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)受眾尊敬,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)智勇雙全,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)才能(neng)(neng)精(jing)深博大。這(zhe)都(dou)是(shi)由于(yu)前(qian)世慈悲孝順等等修善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)積德所得(de)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)報。現(xian)實世間(jian)(jian)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)此(ci)(ci)(ci)(ci)可(ke)見的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)(guo)(guo)報之事(shi),更(geng)(geng)(geng)(geng)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)壽終之后下到(dao)冥界后不(bu)可(ke)見的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)(guo)(guo)報之事(shi),在冥界轉生(sheng)投(tou)胎又受色身(shen),改(gai)變(bian)(bian)了原來(lai)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)形象(xiang),變(bian)(bian)豬變(bian)(bian)狗(gou),在五(wu)道中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)淪(lun)陷于(yu)更(geng)(geng)(geng)(geng)低的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)位置。因(yin)(yin)此(ci)(ci)(ci)(ci),便有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)地獄、禽獸、飛蠅、爬蟲之類(lei)。這(zhe)就猶如(ru)以世間(jian)(jian)法律治罪(zui)犯(fan),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)關在牢獄之中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)受到(dao)極刑痛(tong)苦(ku)。精(jing)靈魂魄與(yu)其人(ren)前(qian)生(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)罪(zui)報相(xiang)隨(sui)(sui)相(xiang)從,不(bu)管所得(de)到(dao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)生(sheng)命或(huo)長或(huo)短,冤家債主相(xiang)追(zhui)隨(sui)(sui)共生(sheng)一(yi)處,一(yi)定要將(jiang)前(qian)世怨仇(chou)一(yi)一(yi)清算,以期(qi)報償。所犯(fan)罪(zui)行若沒有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)結清,便不(bu)能(neng)(neng)夠(gou)分(fen)開(kai),如(ru)此(ci)(ci)(ci)(ci)輾轉往(wang)復于(yu)其惡(e)(e)道中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),很多(duo)時(shi)(shi)劫(jie)也難(nan)得(de)出離(li),絕少(shao)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)機會獲(huo)得(de)解脫(tuo),其痛(tong)苦(ku)難(nan)以言說。天地之間(jian)(jian),因(yin)(yin)果(guo)(guo)(guo)相(xiang)因(yin)(yin),報應不(bu)爽(shuang),必應有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)如(ru)此(ci)(ci)(ci)(ci)狀。有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)時(shi)(shi)雖(sui)不(bu)即時(shi)(shi)報應,但善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)因(yin)(yin)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)果(guo)(guo)(guo),惡(e)(e)因(yin)(yin)惡(e)(e)果(guo)(guo)(guo),時(shi)(shi)候一(yi)至,無不(bu)兌(dui)現(xian)。
“其二者(zhe),世(shi)間人(ren)民(min)不(bu)依法規軌則(ze),奢(she)侈(chi)淫樂,驕橫放(fang)縱,放(fang)情縱欲。居上(shang)位的(de)(de)(de)官(guan)員貪(tan)贓(zang)枉(wang)法,誤國(guo)殃民(min),在位而(er)(er)不(bu)能正已(yi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)身,誣陷使人(ren)冤枉(wang),更陷害忠(zhong)良(liang),阿諛誹謗,心口不(bu)一,投機取(qu)巧,詭詐虛偽(wei)。還不(bu)只是居上(shang)位的(de)(de)(de)官(guan)員如(ru)此(ci),這世(shi)間無(wu)論尊貴的(de)(de)(de)王公(gong)貴族(zu),卑殘的(de)(de)(de)奴仆馬弁,族(zu)中的(de)(de)(de)親眷(juan)家屬,外界的(de)(de)(de)平民(min)百姓,都(dou)是互(hu)相(xiang)欺誑,瞋恚(hui)愚癡。人(ren)們都(dou)想自(zi)己占便宜(yi),損(sun)他人(ren)而(er)(er)利己。為了(le)(le)貪(tan)婪攫取(qu),占有更多的(de)(de)(de)利益,不(bu)惜以利相(xiang)侵,互(hu)相(xiang)算計謀害,由此(ci)結(jie)下忿惱,由結(jie)忿惱又(you)升(sheng)格(ge)為仇恨,甚至家破人(ren)亡(wang),不(bu)顧(gu)前因后(hou)果的(de)(de)(de)報應法則(ze)。富有者(zhe),慳吝(lin)貪(tan)惜,不(bu)肯(ken)施(shi)舍與人(ren)。愛欲頑固,貪(tan)心深重,終(zhong)生(sheng)身心勞苦,就這樣(yang)一直到死。到了(le)(le)死時,財物又(you)帶不(bu)走,沒(mei)有一樣(yang)能拿到陰間。善惡禍福平生(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)業,卻追隨其人(ren)靈魂而(er)(er)到往生(sheng)處(chu),或者(zhe)三善道,或者(zhe)三惡道,總之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),決不(bu)會放(fang)棄此(ci)人(ren)。
“再有,或(huo)有見(jian)人之善,不是想著如何去學習他(ta),敬慕(mu)他(ta),而是憎惡(e)誹(fei)謗他(ta),胸中常懷侵(qin)奪之心,希(xi)望損人利己(ji),將(jiang)他(ta)人之財物(wu)供自(zi)己(ji)取(qu)用,揮霍完了(le),又重去盜(dao)取(qu)。當然逃不出神明(ming)的眼界,終將(jiang)其人打入惡(e)道(dao),自(zi)然有三途惡(e)道(dao)的無(wu)量(liang)苦惱等(deng)著他(ta),其人輾轉于三惡(e)道(dao)中,曠劫長時也難以(yi)得出,其痛苦不堪言說。
“其(qi)三(san)者(zhe),世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)眾(zhong),由于(yu)(yu)(yu)相互之(zhi)間(jian)的(de)業(ye)因導果(guo)而出(chu)生(sheng)于(yu)(yu)(yu)世(shi)(shi)(shi),壽命能有多長?不(bu)良之(zhi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),身心(xin)(xin)不(bu)正,常(chang)懷(huai)邪(xie)惡(e)狠毒(du)之(zhi)心(xin)(xin),常(chang)沉溺于(yu)(yu)(yu)淫欲放蕩(dang),煩懣填塞胸中(zhong)(zhong),淫邪(xie)放蕩(dang)流露(lu)于(yu)(yu)(yu)外表,所(suo)作(zuo)(zuo)之(zhi)事(shi)不(bu)但(dan)耗(hao)費損失家(jia)中(zhong)(zhong)產業(ye),更因這(zhe)些(xie)(xie)事(shi)情不(bu)合法度甚而至(zhi)于(yu)(yu)(yu)違犯法律招(zhao)來惡(e)報。應當為(wei)之(zhi)追求、為(wei)之(zhi)奮斗(dou)的(de),他們(men)(men)不(bu)愿(yuan)去追求去奮斗(dou)。又(you)有的(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)拉幫結伙,興起爭戰,互相攻伐,侵(qin)掠殺戮,武力(li)脅迫,公然搶奪(duo)。將以此種(zhong)種(zhong)獸行搶奪(duo)來的(de)財物拿去取悅(yue)于(yu)(yu)(yu)妻妾強人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),縱情于(yu)(yu)(yu)聲色(se),不(bu)知疲倦地(di)尋歡作(zuo)(zuo)樂。世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)眾(zhong)對此憎惡(e)討(tao)厭,為(wei)此使之(zhi)遭受災禍和無邊痛(tong)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)。這(zhe)些(xie)(xie)作(zuo)(zuo)惡(e)之(zhi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),雖現人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)形,卻顯鬼魅的(de)惡(e)毒(du)。那明察人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)世(shi)(shi)(shi)的(de)神明白(bai)會給他們(men)(men)記上這(zhe)筆帳,以他們(men)(men)自己(ji)此生(sheng)作(zuo)(zuo)惡(e)之(zhi)因,將其(qi)在來世(shi)(shi)(shi)轉(zhuan)生(sheng)之(zhi)時變(bian)為(wei)餓鬼畜生(sheng),墮入三(san)惡(e)道(dao),受到那無邊無量無窮無盡的(de)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)痛(tong)折磨,其(qi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)輾轉(zhuan)于(yu)(yu)(yu)三(san)惡(e)道(dao)之(zhi)中(zhong)(zhong),很多時劫也不(bu)能出(chu)來,其(qi)痛(tong)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)難以言說。
“其四者,世間的(de)(de)(de)(de)人民不(bu)(bu)掛念著(zhu)修善的(de)(de)(de)(de)事,卻(que)撥弄是非,言辭粗鄙(bi),假話大話,阿諛(yu)逢迎,憎恨嫉妒善人的(de)(de)(de)(de)才(cai)德(de),敗壞賢明之(zhi)人的(de)(de)(de)(de)名聲;不(bu)(bu)孝敬順遂父母(mu),不(bu)(bu)尊(zun)重而慢待老師(shi),朋友間不(bu)(bu)守信譽,難得(de)以誠相待;驕傲自大,炫耀自己有道(dao)行,橫行霸(ba)道(dao),仗勢欺人,想(xiang)讓大眾對己產生敬畏;不(bu)(bu)知羞(xiu)慚,不(bu)(bu)自戒慎,不(bu)(bu)聽勸慰,不(bu)(bu)服教化,其心常懷自大傲慢,僅依(yi)靠(kao)其前生前世所積(ji)累(lei)的(de)(de)(de)(de)那點福(fu)德(de)的(de)(de)(de)(de)佑護,才(cai)未馬(ma)上受(shou)難;于(yu)今生今世作(zuo)惡(e)多端,前世辛勤修得(de)的(de)(de)(de)(de)福(fu)德(de)終歸消耗(hao)殆盡。其人終了之(zhi)時(shi),他(ta)所作(zuo)的(de)(de)(de)(de)各種惡(e)業擁著(zhu)他(ta)的(de)(de)(de)(de)魂(hun)魄去到(dao)冥世,他(ta)的(de)(de)(de)(de)惡(e)名和所作(zuo)的(de)(de)(de)(de)惡(e)業,都(dou)登記在(zai)神明的(de)(de)(de)(de)檔案里,其人被自身(shen)生前所作(zuo)之(zhi)災惡(e)罪過(guo)所牽引(yin),沒(mei)有辦法得(de)以脫身(shen),只(zhi)好跟(gen)著(zhu)前去,進(jin)入(ru)到(dao)獄火湯鑊(huo)之(zhi)中,身(shen)心被摧(cui)毀破碎,精(jing)神肉體痛苦不(bu)(bu)堪。到(dao)了這個時(shi)候(hou),后悔也(ye)來不(bu)(bu)及(ji)了。
“其五者,世間(jian)的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)民不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思努力,留連(lian)于(yu)松懈懶惰,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯作善(shan)舉好事,也不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯修(xiu)(xiu)身養(yang)性(xing),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能敬業樂群。父母(mu)教(jiao)(jiao)誨兒(er)(er)女,兒(er)(er)女違背忤逆,就好像是冤家對(dui)(dui)頭。有(you)(you)這樣的(de)(de)(de)兒(er)(er)女還不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)如(ru)沒有(you)(you)。如(ru)此兒(er)(er)女,辜負父母(mu)養(yang)育之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)恩,違背孝敬長輩(bei)的(de)(de)(de)世間(jian)禮儀(yi),對(dui)(dui)父母(mu)的(de)(de)(de)恩德全(quan)無一(yi)(yi)點報答之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)情(qing)(qing)。有(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)放蕩(dang)自縱(zong),游樂散漫(man),好酒(jiu)貪杯,嗜愛美味,無知無識,專橫跋扈,心無遠見,冥行妄(wang)作,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)懂得(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)情(qing)(qing)世故,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)懂得(de)仁(ren)義禮貌.對(dui)(dui)其規(gui)勸(quan)告(gao)誡也沒有(you)(you)用。有(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)對(dui)(dui)父母(mu)姊(zi)妹(mei);親戚眷屬的(de)(de)(de)生活(huo)困難全(quan)然不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)顧(gu),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)考慮父母(mu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)恩,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)考慮老師朋(peng)友情(qing)(qing)義,心常念惡(e)(e),口常言(yan)惡(e)(e),身常行惡(e)(e),三業之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中(zhong)一(yi)(yi)無是處,無善(shan)可言(yan)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信仰諸佛的(de)(de)(de)經言(yan)法(fa)教(jiao)(jiao),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)相信生死因果(guo),善(shan)惡(e)(e)有(you)(you)報。欲想(xiang)殺害(hai)阿羅(luo)漢(han),離間(jian)僧眾使(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)爭斗,蒙(meng)昧(mei)無知,反而自以為聰明(ming)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知道生從何處而來,死后又去(qu)到何方,待人(ren)(ren)(ren)接物,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知仁(ren)愛和順,癡心妄(wang)想(xiang)于(yu)長生不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)老。對(dui)(dui)慈悲之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心的(de)(de)(de)教(jiao)(jiao)誨不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯相信;對(dui)(dui)苦(ku)口婆心的(de)(de)(de)勸(quan)勉之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)話;無動于(yu)衷。上述人(ren)(ren)(ren)等(deng)心中(zhong)因癡愚而黑暗(an)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)明(ming),對(dui)(dui)善(shan)意良言(yan)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能開悟理(li)解。生命將要終(zhong)了(le)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)時(shi),后悔恐懼交相產生。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)預先修(xiu)(xiu)善(shan),死到臨頭方生后悔,可為時(shi)已晚,再后悔也來不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)及(ji)了(le)。
“在天(tian)地中間,天(tian)、人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)、餓鬼、畜生(sheng)(sheng)、地獄(yu)五道(dao)(dao)生(sheng)(sheng)死流(liu)轉,其(qi)(qi)(qi)善(shan)惡(e)(e)因果報應不爽是(shi)明擺著的(de)事(shi)。行(xing)善(shan)作(zuo)惡(e)(e)各(ge)有報應相(xiang)隨,禍受(shou)之(zhi)于惡(e)(e),福受(shou)之(zhi)于善(shan),是(shi)禍是(shi)福,均由其(qi)(qi)(qi)本人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)自己來(lai)承當,他人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)無(wu)可替代(dai),善(shan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)行(xing)善(shan)事(shi),今世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)樂施(shi)好善(shan),來(lai)生(sheng)(sheng)得(de)(de)入富樂人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)家(jia);今世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)勤(qin)修(xiu)福慧,來(lai)生(sheng)(sheng)得(de)(de)入賢達(da)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)家(jia);惡(e)(e)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)作(zuo)惡(e)(e)事(shi),今世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)使(shi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)痛(tong)苦,來(lai)生(sheng)(sheng)得(de)(de)入窮苦人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)家(jia);今世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)癡(chi)愚,來(lai)生(sheng)(sheng)還入癡(chi)愚人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)家(jia)。這其(qi)(qi)(qi)中的(de)道(dao)(dao)理有誰能(neng)知?唯獨(du)只有佛(fo)能(neng)知能(neng)曉。佛(fo)說的(de)教(jiao)導人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)眾的(de)方法(fa),所開示(shi)的(de)真(zhen)實之(zhi)相(xiang),信受(shou)不移而(er)依(yi)此(ci)篤行(xing)的(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)極少極少。所以世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間生(sheng)(sheng)死輪回永不停止(zhi),墮(duo)于三(san)惡(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)之(zhi)路的(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)眾不能(neng)斷絕(jue)。像這樣(yang)(yang)的(de)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間凡夫俗(su)子,難以全部都度脫完畢,所以才有三(san)惡(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)無(wu)量苦惱(nao),讓這樣(yang)(yang)的(de)凡夫俗(su)子輾轉于其(qi)(qi)(qi)中,生(sheng)(sheng)生(sheng)(sheng)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi),曠劫而(er)不能(neng)得(de)(de)出,解脫生(sheng)(sheng)死的(de)希望無(wu)從感受(shou),痛(tong)苦難以言說。
“像這樣(yang)的(de)五(wu)惡、五(wu)痛、五(wu)燒(shao),猶如(ru)大(da)火(huo)焚燒(shao)人身,若有人能在火(huo)燒(shao)之(zhi)中(zhong),專一(yi)其心,制止意(yi)業發(fa)生(sheng)(sheng),端正其行(xing)(xing)為思想,言行(xing)(xing)一(yi)致,誠心誠意(yi),不(bu)管(guan)世間濁穢(hui)如(ru)何,獨作善事,不(bu)作各種惡事,其人之(zhi)身便獨得度(du)脫(tuo),獲得他(ta)行(xing)(xing)善報應的(de)福德(de),可得以在無生(sheng)(sheng)無滅(mie)的(de)涅盤(pan)境界中(zhong)長(chang)生(sheng)(sheng)。這就(jiu)是(shi)五(wu)大(da)善。”
【原文】佛告(gao)彌勒:吾語汝(ru)等(deng),如是五惡(e)、五痛(tong)、五燒(shao),輾轉相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)生。敢有犯(fan)此(ci),當(dang)歷(li)惡(e)趣。或其今(jin)世(shi),先(xian)被(bei)病(bing)殃,死(si)(si)生不(bu)(bu)得,示眾見之(zhi)(zhi)。或于(yu)壽終,入三惡(e)道。愁痛(tong)酷毒,自(zi)(zi)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)燋然。共其怨家(jia),更相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)殺傷。從小微起(qi),成大困劇。皆(jie)由貪著財色,不(bu)(bu)肯(ken)施惠。各(ge)欲自(zi)(zi)快,無(wu)復曲直。癡(chi)欲所(suo)迫,厚己(ji)爭利。富貴榮華,當(dang)時快意。不(bu)(bu)能忍辱,不(bu)(bu)務修善。威(wei)勢(shi)無(wu)幾(ji),隨以磨(mo)滅。天道施張(zhang),自(zi)(zi)然糾舉,煢(qiong)煢(qiong)忪(zhong)忪(zhong),當(dang)入其中。古今(jin)有是,痛(tong)哉(zai)可傷!汝(ru)等(deng)得佛經(jing)語,熟思(si)惟之(zhi)(zhi)。各(ge)自(zi)(zi)端守,終身(shen)不(bu)(bu)怠。尊圣敬善,仁慈博愛。當(dang)求度世(shi),拔斷(duan)生死(si)(si)眾惡(e)之(zhi)(zhi)本(ben)。當(dang)離三途,憂怖苦痛(tong)之(zhi)(zhi)道。若曹作(zuo)善,云(yun)何第一?當(dang)自(zi)(zi)端心,當(dang)自(zi)(zi)端身(shen)。耳(er)目口鼻,皆(jie)當(dang)自(zi)(zi)端。身(shen)心凈潔,與善相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)應。勿(wu)隨嗜欲,不(bu)(bu)犯(fan)諸惡(e)。言(yan)色當(dang)和,身(shen)行當(dang)專。動作(zuo)瞻視,安定徐(xu)為。作(zuo)事倉卒(zu),敗悔在后。為之(zhi)(zhi)不(bu)(bu)諦,亡(wang)其功夫。
【譯文】釋迦牟尼(ni)佛對彌勒說:“我告訴了你們這(zhe)個五惡(e)、五痛、五燒輾轉相生(sheng)因果輪回的(de)道理(li)。若還有人(ren)敢于犯(fan)此五惡(e),必(bi)當遭(zao)到惡(e)果所報,或(huo)者(zhe)其(qi)人(ren)今世(shi)就得(de)(de)現報,先被(bei)病惡(e)禍及,痛苦(ku)不(bu)堪,求生(sheng)不(bu)得(de)(de),求死不(bu)能,讓大(da)眾都得(de)(de)見(jian)這(zhe)惡(e)行(xing)惡(e)報的(de)下(xia)場(chang)。或(huo)者(zhe)其(qi)人(ren)在(zai)壽終之后,墮入三惡(e)趣(qu)中,憂(you)愁痛苦(ku),酷刑荼毒,自(zi)業之火,炙(zhi)灼自(zi)身(shen);與(yu)他在(zai)生(sheng)之世(shi)結的(de)冤家(jia)對頭共(gong)處一地(di),互相傷(shang)害殘殺(sha),從很(hen)小的(de)摩擦開始(shi),愈(yu)演愈(yu)烈,最(zui)終釀成(cheng)重災大(da)禍。
“上(shang)述兩種惡(e)(e)報(bao)都(dou)是由于生之(zhi)世貪得無厭,積斂錢財,無羞無恥,沉溺色情,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯以財物布施窮人,只求(qiu)自己快(kuai)樂和欲望得到滿足,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)管所(suo)行(xing)之(zhi)事的是非(fei)曲直。由癡欲貪婪(lan)之(zhi)心所(suo)迫使,損(sun)人利己,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)擇手(shou)段(duan)與人爭利,爭得的富貴(gui)榮華,只是一時的快(kuai)意,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)愿(yuan)忍辱(ru)修習(xi),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能修善積德,威風權勢(shi)沒(mei)有幾天長久,隨(sui)即便(bian)磨(mo)滅殆盡。天理昭然,自會觀察審視(shi)到其人所(suo)為。其人自感罪行(xing)敗露,驚惶失措,將孤獨地墮入(ru)惡(e)(e)道之(zhi)中。從古到今有不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)少這方面的例子。痛心啊,真使人痛心!
“你們(men)聽我說了(le)這(zhe)些法(fa)(fa)教,應對這(zhe)其(qi)中道(dao)理(li)深思熟慮,各自(zi)(zi)(zi)端(duan)守(shou)奉行(xing)(xing)教法(fa)(fa),終身不要有片刻懈怠。尊重(zhong)阿羅漢等(deng)修行(xing)(xing)人(ren),敬愛行(xing)(xing)善(shan)(shan)好(hao)施(shi)的(de)(de)大居士,仁義慈悲,博愛眾生(sheng),當求濟度(du)世間有情之道(dao),拔(ba)除斷滅生(sheng)死(si)和(he)各種惡的(de)(de)根(gen)源。如這(zhe)樣作,則必將(jiang)脫離(li)三惡道(dao)的(de)(de)憂愁、恐(kong)怖、苦(ku)痛。你們(men)作善(shan)(shan)事(shi),首先得(de)作什(shen)么(me)?首先應當自(zi)(zi)(zi)行(xing)(xing)端(duan)正(zheng)身心,端(duan)正(zheng)耳(er)、目、口、鼻。身心潔凈,與(yu)善(shan)(shan)便可相照應。不要順逐嗜好(hao)欲望,不要造下諸種惡業,語言面容應當溫(wen)柔和(he)藹,自(zi)(zi)(zi)身及行(xing)(xing)為應當專誠瑞正(zheng)。一(yi)舉一(yi)動,一(yi)言一(yi)行(xing)(xing),都應當安祥(xiang)沉靜(jing),從容不迫。作事(shi)倉(cang)卒慌忙,必將(jiang)失敗(bai)與(yu)后(hou)悔,一(yi)招不慎(shen),便會喪失其(qi)修習(xi)了(le)許久的(de)(de)功夫德行(xing)(xing)。”
【原文】汝(ru)(ru)等廣植德(de)本,勿犯道禁。忍辱精進,慈心專一。齋(zhai)戒(jie)清凈,一日(ri)一夜,勝在無(wu)(wu)(wu)量壽(shou)國為(wei)善百歲(sui)。所(suo)以者何?彼佛(fo)(fo)國土,皆積德(de)眾善,無(wu)(wu)(wu)毫發之惡(e)(e)。于(yu)此(ci)修善,十日(ri)十夜,勝于(yu)他方(fang)諸佛(fo)(fo)國中(zhong),為(wei)善千(qian)歲(sui)。所(suo)以者何?他方(fang)佛(fo)(fo)國,福德(de)自(zi)然(ran)(ran),無(wu)(wu)(wu)造惡(e)(e)之地。唯此(ci)世間,善少惡(e)(e)多,飲苦(ku)(ku)食(shi)毒,未嘗寧息。吾(wu)哀汝(ru)(ru)等,苦(ku)(ku)心誨喻,授與(yu)經(jing)法。悉持思之,悉奉行(xing)之。尊卑、男(nan)女、眷(juan)屬、朋友,轉相教語,自(zi)相約檢。和(he)(he)順義理,歡樂(le)慈孝。所(suo)作如(ru)(ru)(ru)犯,則(ze)自(zi)悔過。去惡(e)(e)就善,朝聞夕(xi)改(gai)(gai)。奉持經(jing)戒(jie),如(ru)(ru)(ru)貧得寶(bao)。改(gai)(gai)往修來(lai),洗(xi)心易(yi)行(xing)。自(zi)然(ran)(ran)感降,所(suo)愿輒得。佛(fo)(fo)所(suo)行(xing)處,國邑丘聚(ju),靡不(bu)(bu)蒙(meng)化。天(tian)下和(he)(he)順,日(ri)月清明。風雨以時,災厲不(bu)(bu)起。國豐民安(an),兵戈無(wu)(wu)(wu)用。崇(chong)德(de)興仁(ren),務(wu)修禮讓。國無(wu)(wu)(wu)盜賊,無(wu)(wu)(wu)有怨枉。強不(bu)(bu)凌弱(ruo),各得其所(suo)。我(wo)哀汝(ru)(ru)等,甚于(yu)父母念子。我(wo)于(yu)此(ci)世作佛(fo)(fo),以善攻惡(e)(e),拔生死之苦(ku)(ku)。令獲五(wu)德(de),升無(wu)(wu)(wu)為(wei)之安(an)。吾(wu)般泥洹,經(jing)道漸滅。人民諂偽,復(fu)為(wei)眾惡(e)(e)。五(wu)燒五(wu)痛(tong),久(jiu)后轉劇(ju)。汝(ru)(ru)等轉相教誡(jie),如(ru)(ru)(ru)佛(fo)(fo)經(jing)法,無(wu)(wu)(wu)得犯也。彌勒菩薩,合掌白(bai)言:世人惡(e)(e)苦(ku)(ku),如(ru)(ru)(ru)是(shi)如(ru)(ru)(ru)是(shi)。佛(fo)(fo)皆慈哀,悉度脫之。受佛(fo)(fo)重誨,不(bu)(bu)敢(gan)違失(shi)。
【譯文】你們應當廣修(xiu)(xiu)六度,培植(zhi)功(gong)德(de)之本,不要(yao)違(wei)犯(fan)了戒禁紀(ji)律。一(yi)(yi)定要(yao)忍辱精進,用心專一(yi)(yi)。守(shou)齋持戒,務使身心清凈。若能在(zai)此穢土守(shou)齋持戒一(yi)(yi)天一(yi)(yi)夜,所獲的(de)功(gong)德(de)勝過(guo)在(zai)無(wu)(wu)量壽國里作一(yi)(yi)百年的(de)善行義舉(ju)。為(wei)什么呢?那西方(fang)極樂世(shi)(shi)界都是各種福德(de)善事(shi)積累而成(cheng)(cheng),沒有(you)(you)哪怕(pa)是如毫毛頭發的(de)一(yi)(yi)絲(si)惡(e)念。在(zai)我們這娑婆世(shi)(shi)界修(xiu)(xiu)善十天十夜,勝過(guo)在(zai)其他(ta)諸佛(fo)國中修(xiu)(xiu)善千年。為(wei)什么呢?其他(ta)的(de)佛(fo)國天然有(you)(you)佛(fo)德(de),沒有(you)(you)造(zao)成(cheng)(cheng)惡(e)業的(de)余地。不像我們這世(shi)(shi)間,善少(shao)惡(e)多,飲苦水,吃毒(du)食(shi),終無(wu)(wu)休止之期(qi)。
我(wo)為(wei)你(ni)(ni)們(men)眾生悲哀,所以才(cai)苦口婆心地(di)加(jia)以教(jiao)導,翻來復去的(de)(de)給出(chu)譬(pi)喻,一心要教(jiao)給你(ni)(ni)們(men)經法(fa),令(ling)你(ni)(ni)們(men)受持(chi)思考,如教(jiao)奉行(xing)。對達官顯貴和奴仆百姓,對男人和女人,對親戚眷屬(shu),對朋友同(tong)事,轉述我(wo)教(jiao)導的(de)(de)這些話,務必要自(zi)行(xing)檢查約(yue)束(shu),使言行(xing)舉止合順于理義,歡喜安樂于慈愛兒(er)女、孝敬(jing)父(fu)母。所作所為(wei)如有違犯經戒的(de)(de)地(di)方,則自(zi)行(xing)改(gai)過。離(li)去惡而靠近(jin)善,早(zao)上知道(dao)了正(zheng)確(que)的(de)(de)道(dao)理,下午就改(gai)正(zheng)過來。奉持(chi)經戒,如同(tong)窮(qiong)人得到珍寶,改(gai)正(zheng)以往的(de)(de)惡,修行(xing)未來的(de)(de)善,洗除心中(zhong)的(de)(de)污垢,變易自(zi)己的(de)(de)行(xing)為(wei),自(zi)然感(gan)應到佛力(li)加(jia)持(chi),凡(fan)所求愿,都能圓滿。
佛所(suo)到(dao)(dao)(dao)之處,大到(dao)(dao)(dao)國(guo)家,小到(dao)(dao)(dao)鄉邑,凡(fan)眾生聚居(ju)之處,沒有一地不(bu)蒙受教化(hua),也沒有一處不(bu)呈現祥和太平。萬邦(bang)和睦,日月清(qing)明,風(feng)調雨順,災害不(bu)起,瘟疫(yi)不(bu)行;國(guo)家豐足,人(ren)(ren)民安樂;刀(dao)槍(qiang)入庫,尊崇(chong)道德;興施仁政,宣傳禮讓;國(guo)無(wu)盜(dao)賊,世無(wu)怨枉;強者(zhe)不(bu)欺凌弱者(zhe),人(ren)(ren)人(ren)(ren)都各得(de)其所(suo)。
我憐憫(min)你(ni)們罪苦眾生,勝(sheng)過父母慈愛兒(er)女。我在此(ci)五濁(zhuo)惡(e)(e)世上作佛(fo)(fo);用(yong)善德(de)來(lai)攻破惡(e)(e)行。拔除有(you)情生死之苦,使眾生獲得“五德(de)”,升至無為無礙(ai)的(de)常樂心境。我圓寂后,經法佛(fo)(fo)道將逐漸泯滅(mie),那時候,人心諂邪狡詐,重新作惡(e)(e),五燒五痛,越來(lai)越劇,你(ni)們應當由我佛(fo)(fo)法的(de)弟子(zi)轉為教導(dao)世人的(de)老師,不(bu)倦地(di)教誡眾生,引導(dao)眾生。你(ni)們記住,對于(yu)佛(fo)(fo)所(suo)留下的(de)經法,一定不(bu)要違(wei)犯(fan)。
彌勒(le)菩薩合(he)掌致謝禮,贊嘆道:世間人類(lei)的惡與苦,如佛所說(shuo)這樣(yang)大、這樣(yang)深,佛皆(jie)慈哀(ai)世間惡人,不計其惡而全部(bu)度脫。我等(deng)受佛深刻的教誨,不敢違(wei)犯忘(wang)失(shi)。
【原文】佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)告(gao)阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)難(nan)(nan):若(ruo)曹欲(yu)見(jian)(jian)無(wu)量(liang)(liang)清凈(jing)(jing)(jing)平等(deng)(deng)覺,及諸(zhu)菩薩(sa)、阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)羅漢等(deng)(deng)所(suo)居國土,應(ying)起西(xi)向,當日沒(mei)處,恭敬(jing)頂(ding)禮,稱(cheng)念南無(wu)阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)。阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)難(nan)(nan)即從座起,面(mian)西(xi)合(he)掌,頂(ding)禮白(bai)言:我今(jin)愿(yuan)見(jian)(jian)極(ji)(ji)樂(le)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),供養奉事,種(zhong)諸(zhu)善(shan)根。頂(ding)禮之間,忽見(jian)(jian)阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),容顏廣大(da)(da),色相端嚴。如黃金(jin)(jin)山(shan),高出(chu)一(yi)切諸(zhu)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)上。又(you)聞(wen)(wen)十方世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie),諸(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)如來,稱(cheng)揚贊嘆阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)種(zhong)種(zhong)功德,無(wu)礙無(wu)斷(duan)。阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)難(nan)(nan)白(bai)言:彼(bi)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)凈(jing)(jing)(jing)剎(cha)得未曾有(you),我亦愿(yuan)樂(le)生(sheng)于(yu)(yu)彼(bi)土。世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)尊(zun)告(gao)言:其中生(sheng)者,已曾親近無(wu)量(liang)(liang)諸(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),植眾(zhong)德本。汝欲(yu)生(sheng)彼(bi),應(ying)當一(yi)心歸(gui)依(yi)瞻仰。作是語時,阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)即于(yu)(yu)掌中放無(wu)量(liang)(liang)光(guang)(guang),普照一(yi)切諸(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)。時諸(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)國,皆(jie)悉(xi)(xi)明(ming)現(xian),如處一(yi)尋。以阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)殊勝光(guang)(guang)明(ming),極(ji)(ji)清凈(jing)(jing)(jing)故,于(yu)(yu)此(ci)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)所(suo)有(you)黑山(shan)、雪山(shan)、金(jin)(jin)剛、鐵圍(wei)大(da)(da)小諸(zhu)山(shan),江河叢林,天(tian)(tian)人(ren)宮殿,一(yi)切境界(jie),無(wu)不(bu)(bu)照見(jian)(jian)。譬如日出(chu),明(ming)照世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間。乃至(zhi)泥犁、溪谷,幽(you)冥(ming)之處,悉(xi)(xi)大(da)(da)開辟,皆(jie)同一(yi)色。猶如劫水彌(mi)(mi)滿(man)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie),其中萬物(wu),沉沒(mei)不(bu)(bu)現(xian),滉漾浩汗,唯見(jian)(jian)大(da)(da)水。彼(bi)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)光(guang)(guang)明(ming),亦復如是。聲(sheng)聞(wen)(wen)、菩薩(sa)一(yi)切光(guang)(guang)明(ming),悉(xi)(xi)皆(jie)隱蔽,唯見(jian)(jian)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)光(guang)(guang),明(ming)耀顯(xian)赫。此(ci)會四(si)眾(zhong)、天(tian)(tian)龍八部(bu)、人(ren)非人(ren)等(deng)(deng),皆(jie)見(jian)(jian)極(ji)(ji)樂(le)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie),種(zhong)種(zhong)莊(zhuang)嚴。阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),于(yu)(yu)彼(bi)高座,威(wei)德巍(wei)(wei)巍(wei)(wei),相好光(guang)(guang)明(ming),聲(sheng)聞(wen)(wen)、菩薩(sa),圍(wei)繞恭敬(jing)。譬如須彌(mi)(mi)山(shan)王,出(chu)于(yu)(yu)海面(mian)。明(ming)現(xian)照耀,清凈(jing)(jing)(jing)平正。無(wu)有(you)雜穢,及異形(xing)類(lei)。唯是眾(zhong)寶(bao)莊(zhuang)嚴,圣賢共住(zhu)。阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)難(nan)(nan)及諸(zhu)菩薩(sa)眾(zhong)等(deng)(deng),皆(jie)大(da)(da)歡(huan)喜(xi),踴躍作禮,以頭著地(di),稱(cheng)念南無(wu)阿(a)(a)(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)三(san)藐三(san)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)。諸(zhu)天(tian)(tian)人(ren)民,以至(zhi)蜎(yuan)飛蠕(ru)動,睹斯光(guang)(guang)者,所(suo)有(you)疾苦,莫不(bu)(bu)休(xiu)止(zhi),一(yi)切憂惱(nao),莫不(bu)(bu)解脫。悉(xi)(xi)皆(jie)慈心作善(shan),歡(huan)喜(xi)快樂(le)。鐘磬、琴瑟、箜篌樂(le)器,不(bu)(bu)鼓自然(ran)皆(jie)作五音。諸(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)國中,諸(zhu)天(tian)(tian)人(ren)民,各持花香,來于(yu)(yu)虛(xu)空,散作供養。爾時極(ji)(ji)樂(le)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie),過(guo)于(yu)(yu)西(xi)方百(bai)千俱(ju)胝那(nei)由(you)他國,以佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)威(wei)力,如對目前,如凈(jing)(jing)(jing)天(tian)(tian)眼,觀一(yi)尋地(di)。彼(bi)見(jian)(jian)此(ci)土,亦復如是。悉(xi)(xi)睹娑婆世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie),釋迦(jia)如來,及比丘眾(zhong),圍(wei)繞說法(fa)。
【譯文】釋加牟尼佛(fo)告誡阿(a)難(nan)說:“你們如果想見無量壽(shou)佛(fo)以及西方極樂世界諸菩薩、阿(a)羅漢等所居住(zhu)的凈土,應(ying)起立面向西方,即對(dui)日落之處,恭敬地行禮,稱念南無阿(a)彌陀佛(fo)。”
阿(a)難即(ji)刻從座位上(shang)站起來,面向西(xi)方;合掌行(xing)(xing)禮而(er)發愿(yuan)道:我(wo)現在(zai)愿(yuan)見極樂世界的阿(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo),供養伺(si)奉(feng)阿(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo),并(bing)以此積累福(fu)德。正行(xing)(xing)禮之(zhi)間,忽見阿(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)。阿(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)臉(lian)面極其廣大,面容相貌端莊威嚴(yan),如黃金的山,高高地出現在(zai)一(yi)切諸(zhu)世界上(shang)空,又聽(ting)聞到(dao)十(shi)方世界的諸(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)如來,都在(zai)稱揚贊(zan)嘆阿(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)的種(zhong)種(zhong)功德,天(tian)地之(zhi)間無處(chu)不(bu)(bu)回(hui)響著這(zhe)美好的聲音,久久不(bu)(bu)斷(duan)。”
阿難稟白說:“今(jin)見(jian)西方極樂(le)世界(jie),得見(jian)所未見(jian),聞(wen)所未聞(wen)的奇(qi)跡,我也(ye)愿意高興地往生(sheng)于那里。”世尊(zun)告訴他(ta)說:“西方極樂(le)世界(jie)的往生(sheng)者,過去曾供養(yang)伺奉(feng)無(wu)量諸佛,積累了各種(zhong)福德善根,你想往生(sheng)那里,就應當一心一意地歸依和瞻仰阿彌(mi)陀佛。”
說這話的(de)(de)(de)時(shi)候,阿彌(mi)陀佛(fo)(fo)即在(zai)(zai)手掌中放出無(wu)量的(de)(de)(de)光(guang),普照(zhao)一切(qie)諸佛(fo)(fo)世界(jie)。這時(shi)候,諸佛(fo)(fo)國皆全部顯(xian)現(xian)出來,只(zhi)在(zai)(zai)咫尺(chi)之間。因(yin)為(wei)阿彌(mi)陀佛(fo)(fo)無(wu)比的(de)(de)(de)光(guang)明(ming)(ming)(ming)極(ji)其清凈的(de)(de)(de)緣故,把這世界(jie)所(suo)有(you)的(de)(de)(de)黑山、雪山、金剛山、鐵圍(wei)山等大(da)大(da)小小的(de)(de)(de)山,把這世界(jie)所(suo)有(you)的(de)(de)(de)江河、叢林(lin)、天人(ren)宮殿等等一切(qie)境(jing)界(jie),全都照(zhao)現(xian)出來。譬如太陽升起在(zai)(zai)空中,光(guang)明(ming)(ming)(ming)普照(zhao)世間,乃至照(zhao)遍地獄、溪谷等幽暗之處(chu)。這些(xie)幽暗之處(chu)全都開明(ming)(ming)(ming)盡現(xian),世上一切(qie)事物無(wu)不顯(xian)出金色光(guang)芒。猶(you)如劫(jie)水彌(mi)漫(man)于(yu)世界(jie),其中的(de)(de)(de)萬物沉沒不現(xian),無(wu)邊無(wu)際唯見大(da)水。阿彌(mi)陀佛(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)(de)光(guang)明(ming)(ming)(ming)亦是(shi)這樣。聲(sheng)聞(wen)、菩薩的(de)(de)(de)一切(qie)光(guang)明(ming)(ming)(ming),全都隱蔽不現(xian),惟見佛(fo)(fo)光(guang)明(ming)(ming)(ming)耀顯(xian)赫。
在此(ci)聚會的(de)四眾弟子,天(tian)龍(long)八部(bu)、人非人等,都親眼(yan)看見(jian)了(le)極樂世界的(de)種種莊嚴之象(xiang)。阿彌(mi)陀佛坐(zuo)在他的(de)高(gao)座上,威(wei)嚴肅穆,功(gong)德(de)巍巍,瑞(rui)相光(guang)(guang)明(ming),與(yu)天(tian)地齊。聲聞、菩(pu)薩弟子恭(gong)恭(gong)敬敬地圍繞在他身(shen)邊(bian)。譬如(ru)須(xu)彌(mi)山王升起于海面,光(guang)(guang)明(ming)照耀(yao),清凈安穩,沒有(you)(you)雜染(ran)污穢,以(yi)及異形物(wu)類,只(zhi)有(you)(you)各種寶物(wu)莊嚴修飾(shi),只(zhi)有(you)(you)圣人與(yu)賢者(zhe)相居共住(zhu)。阿難(nan)及諸(zhu)菩(pu)薩眾等皆心生大(da)(da)歡喜,歡呼雀躍(yue),五體投地恭(gong)行(xing)大(da)(da)禮,口中稱念南無阿彌(mi)陀佛。
諸(zhu)天(tian)界人(ren)(ren)(ren)民,以(yi)(yi)至飛蠅爬蟲,凡見(jian)到(dao)阿彌(mi)陀佛(fo)(fo)光明(ming)(ming)者,所有(you)的(de)(de)(de)疾病痛(tong)苦(ku),莫(mo)不(bu)(bu)(bu)消失,一切(qie)的(de)(de)(de)憂愁煩(fan)惱,無不(bu)(bu)(bu)解脫。人(ren)(ren)(ren)人(ren)(ren)(ren)都(dou)生(sheng)發出慈善(shan)之心,人(ren)(ren)(ren)人(ren)(ren)(ren)都(dou)感到(dao)歡喜快(kuai)樂(le)(le)(le)。鐘磬琴瑟、箜篌(hou)樂(le)(le)(le)器,不(bu)(bu)(bu)鼓不(bu)(bu)(bu)彈(dan)不(bu)(bu)(bu)吹(chui)不(bu)(bu)(bu)奏便自(zi)然(ran)地發出音(yin)樂(le)(le)(le)。諸(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)國中諸(zhu)天(tian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)民各各手持鮮花、供(gong)香,來到(dao)虛空之中散下,以(yi)(yi)此供(gong)養佛(fo)(fo)世(shi)尊。那(nei)時,極(ji)樂(le)(le)(le)世(shi)界雖遠在西方(fang)百千俱胝(zhi)那(nei)由他國度之外,以(yi)(yi)佛(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)(de)威(wei)力(li)現出奇跡,如在眼前(qian)對面。又如同以(yi)(yi)天(tian)眼觀(guan)看(kan)咫(zhi)尺(chi)以(yi)(yi)外的(de)(de)(de)地方(fang),自(zi)然(ran)無不(bu)(bu)(bu)清晰(xi)(xi)明(ming)(ming)見(jian)。極(ji)樂(le)(le)(le)世(shi)界上(shang)(shang)的(de)(de)(de)圣眾看(kan)娑婆世(shi)界也同娑婆世(shi)異眾生(sheng)看(kan)他們一樣清晰(xi)(xi)明(ming)(ming)白,他們又都(dou)能看(kan)到(dao)娑婆世(shi)界上(shang)(shang)的(de)(de)(de)釋迦牟尼佛(fo)(fo),以(yi)(yi)及(ji)眾比丘。眾比丘圍繞釋迦如來,正在演(yan)說此《大乘(cheng)無量壽(shou)莊(zhuang)嚴(yan)清凈(jing)平等覺經》。
【原文】爾時佛(fo)告阿(a)(a)難(nan),及慈(ci)氏菩薩:汝(ru)(ru)見(jian)(jian)(jian)極(ji)樂(le)(le)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie),宮(gong)殿樓閣,泉池(chi)林樹,具足(zu)微(wei)妙清凈(jing)莊嚴否(fou)?汝(ru)(ru)見(jian)(jian)(jian)欲界(jie)(jie)諸(zhu)天,上至色究竟天,雨諸(zhu)香(xiang)華,遍(bian)佛(fo)剎否(fou)?阿(a)(a)難(nan)對曰:唯然已見(jian)(jian)(jian)。汝(ru)(ru)聞(wen)阿(a)(a)彌陀(tuo)佛(fo)大音宣(xuan)布一切世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie),化眾生(sheng)否(fou)?阿(a)(a)難(nan)對曰:唯然已聞(wen)。佛(fo)言:汝(ru)(ru)見(jian)(jian)(jian)彼(bi)(bi)國凈(jing)行之眾,游(you)處(chu)虛空,宮(gong)殿隨身(shen),無所(suo)障礙,遍(bian)至十方(fang)供養諸(zhu)佛(fo)否(fou)?及見(jian)(jian)(jian)彼(bi)(bi)等念佛(fo)相續否(fou)?復有眾鳥住(zhu)虛空界(jie)(jie),出種(zhong)種(zhong)音,皆是(shi)化作,汝(ru)(ru)悉見(jian)(jian)(jian)否(fou)?慈(ci)氏白(bai)言:如(ru)佛(fo)所(suo)說,一一皆見(jian)(jian)(jian)。佛(fo)告彌勒:彼(bi)(bi)國人(ren)(ren)民有胎生(sheng)者(zhe),汝(ru)(ru)復見(jian)(jian)(jian)否(fou)?彌勒白(bai)言:世(shi)(shi)尊,我見(jian)(jian)(jian)極(ji)樂(le)(le)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)人(ren)(ren)住(zhu)胎者(zhe),如(ru)夜(ye)摩(mo)天,處(chu)于宮(gong)殿。又見(jian)(jian)(jian)眾生(sheng),于蓮華內結(jie)跏(jia)趺坐,自然化生(sheng)。何(he)因緣故(gu),彼(bi)(bi)國人(ren)(ren)民,有胎生(sheng)者(zhe),有化生(sheng)者(zhe)?
【譯文】那時候(hou),釋迦牟尼問阿難以及(ji)慈氏(shi)菩薩道:“你(ni)們看(kan)(kan)見極樂(le)世(shi)界(jie)的(de)宮殿、樓閣(ge)、泉池(chi)、林樹是(shi)否十分(fen)微妙和清凈(jing)莊嚴?你(ni)們看(kan)(kan)見欲界(jie)諸天,上至色究竟天,降香(xiang)花之雨,那花遍散十方佛國凈(jing)土了(le)嗎?”
阿難回答說:“都看(kan)見了。”
釋(shi)迦牟尼佛(fo)又(you)問:“你(ni)們聽到阿彌陀(tuo)佛(fo)以他宏大的聲音宣布,他將(jiang)于(yu)一切(qie)世(shi)界來化度眾生(sheng)了嗎?”
阿(a)難回(hui)答說:“都聽(ting)到(dao)了。”
釋(shi)迦牟尼(ni)佛(fo)又說:“你們(men)(men)看(kan)見(jian)極樂世(shi)界清(qing)凈修行(xing)的圣眾遨(ao)游虛(xu)空(kong)(kong)之中了嗎(ma)?他們(men)(men)所居的宮殿隨(sui)在(zai)身(shen)后,他們(men)(men)飛(fei)到(dao)哪兒宮殿也跟到(dao)哪兒,竟然沒(mei)有任何障(zhang)礙。你們(men)(men)看(kan)見(jian)他們(men)(men)如此(ci)這般(ban)地飛(fei)遍(bian)十(shi)方世(shi)界去(qu)供養諸佛(fo)了嗎(ma)?你們(men)(men)看(kan)到(dao)他們(men)(men)在(zai)不斷(duan)念佛(fo)嗎(ma)?各種鳥在(zai)虛(xu)空(kong)(kong)中啼叫,發出(chu)種種聲音,都是阿彌陀佛(fo)的變化所為,你們(men)(men)全看(kan)出(chu)來了嗎(ma)?”
彌勒菩(pu)薩答(da)道:“如佛所說,我(wo)們都一一看見了。”
釋迦牟尼(ni)佛又向彌勒菩(pu)薩發問道:“西方極(ji)樂世(shi)界的(de)人民中暫的(de)是胎生的(de),你(ni)看清楚了嗎(ma)?”
彌勒菩薩回(hui)答(da)說:“世尊,我看見極(ji)樂世界(jie)有(you)胎生(sheng)的(de)人(ren),猶如夜摩天人(ren)在(zai)宮(gong)殿(dian)中。又還看見眾(zhong)生(sheng)于蓮花內結跏跌坐(zuo)而自然化生(sheng)。但這是什(shen)么因緣(yuan)造成西方極(ji)樂世界(jie)有(you)胎生(sheng)者(zhe)和(he)化生(sheng)者(zhe)兩種眾(zhong)生(sheng)的(de)呢?”
【原文】佛(fo)(fo)(fo)告慈(ci)氏:若(ruo)(ruo)有眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng),以疑惑心(xin)(xin)修諸功德(de),愿(yuan)(yuan)生(sheng)彼國(guo)(guo)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)了佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)(bu)(bu)思(si)議智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)(bu)(bu)可稱智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、大乘廣智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、無(wu)等(deng)無(wu)倫最上勝智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),于此(ci)諸智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),疑惑不(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)。猶信(xin)罪福,修習(xi)善(shan)(shan)本,愿(yuan)(yuan)生(sheng)其國(guo)(guo)。復(fu)有眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng),積集善(shan)(shan)根,希求佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、普遍智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、無(wu)等(deng)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、威德(de)廣大不(bu)(bu)(bu)思(si)議智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。于自善(shan)(shan)根,不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)生(sheng)信(xin)。故(gu)(gu)于往生(sheng)清凈(jing)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)國(guo)(guo),意志猶豫,無(wu)所(suo)(suo)專據(ju)。然(ran)猶續念不(bu)(bu)(bu)絕。結其善(shan)(shan)愿(yuan)(yuan)為本,續得往生(sheng)。是諸人等(deng),以此(ci)因緣,雖生(sheng)彼國(guo)(guo),不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)前至無(wu)量壽所(suo)(suo)。道止佛(fo)(fo)(fo)國(guo)(guo)界邊,七(qi)寶(bao)城中(zhong)。佛(fo)(fo)(fo)不(bu)(bu)(bu)使爾,身(shen)(shen)行所(suo)(suo)作,心(xin)(xin)自趣向(xiang)。亦有寶(bao)池(chi)蓮華(hua),自然(ran)受身(shen)(shen)。飲食快樂,如(ru)忉利天。于其城中(zhong),不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)得出。所(suo)(suo)居舍宅在(zai)地,不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)隨意高大。于五百歲,常不(bu)(bu)(bu)見(jian)佛(fo)(fo)(fo),不(bu)(bu)(bu)聞經(jing)(jing)法,不(bu)(bu)(bu)見(jian)菩(pu)薩(sa)聲聞圣眾(zhong)(zhong)。其人智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慧(hui)(hui)不(bu)(bu)(bu)明,知(zhi)經(jing)(jing)復(fu)少(shao)。心(xin)(xin)不(bu)(bu)(bu)開解,意不(bu)(bu)(bu)歡樂。是故(gu)(gu)于彼謂之胎生(sheng)。若(ruo)(ruo)有眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng),明信(xin)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),乃至勝智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),斷(duan)除疑惑,信(xin)己善(shan)(shan)根,作諸功德(de),至心(xin)(xin)回向(xiang)。皆于七(qi)寶(bao)華(hua)中(zhong),自然(ran)化生(sheng),跏趺而(er)坐(zuo)。須臾之頃,身(shen)(shen)相光明,智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慧(hui)(hui)功德(de),如(ru)諸菩(pu)薩(sa),具足成就。彌勒(le)當知(zhi),彼化生(sheng)者(zhe),智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慧(hui)(hui)勝故(gu)(gu)。其胎生(sheng)者(zhe),五百歲中(zhong),不(bu)(bu)(bu)見(jian)三寶(bao),不(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)菩(pu)薩(sa)法式,不(bu)(bu)(bu)得修習(xi)功德(de),無(wu)因奉事(shi)無(wu)量壽佛(fo)(fo)(fo)。當知(zhi)此(ci)人,宿世之時,無(wu)有智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慧(hui)(hui),疑惑所(suo)(suo)致(zhi)。
【譯文】釋迦牟尼佛(fo)(fo)(fo)告訴(su)彌勒菩薩道(dao):“比如有的(de)眾生(sheng)用疑惑的(de)態度去(qu)修(xiu)種(zhong)種(zhong)功德,愿(yuan)(yuan)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)西方(fang)極(ji)樂(le)(le)(le)世界(jie),他(ta)(ta)們不(bu)理解佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)思議智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)可稱智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、大乘廣(guang)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、無(wu)等(deng)無(wu)倫(lun)最上(shang)勝智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)的(de)奧妙(miao),對(dui)于這(zhe)些佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)持(chi)懷疑而不(bu)相信(xin)的(de)態度,不(bu)過他(ta)(ta)們還(huan)相信(xin)五逆十惡等(deng)重罪以(yi)及五戒十善等(deng)福業,能(neng)造成因(yin)果報應,因(yin)而修(xiu)習為善功德,愿(yuan)(yuan)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)極(ji)樂(le)(le)(le)世界(jie);還(huan)有的(de)眾生(sheng),積累功德善根(gen),希望求得佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、普遍智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、無(wu)等(deng)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、威德廣(guang)大不(bu)思議智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),但(dan)對(dui)自己的(de)善根(gen)卻不(bu)能(neng)堅(jian)定信(xin)心,因(yin)此,對(dui)于是(shi)否能(neng)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)西方(fang)極(ji)樂(le)(le)(le)世界(jie),意(yi)志猶豫而不(bu)堅(jian)定,對(dui)于自修(xiu)善根(gen),尚(shang)不(bu)能(neng)一心信(xin)奉,因(yin)而對(dui)于往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)國凈土(tu),只是(shi)半信(xin)半疑,不(bu)能(neng)一心專念,但(dan)他(ta)(ta)畢竟能(neng)夠繼續(xu)念佛(fo)(fo)(fo)不(bu)絕,以(yi)念佛(fo)(fo)(fo)力結成其往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)極(ji)樂(le)(le)(le)世界(jie)的(de)善愿(yuan)(yuan),以(yi)發愿(yuan)(yuan)力為依據,仍得以(yi)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)西方(fang)極(ji)樂(le)(le)(le)世界(jie)。
“上(shang)述二類人,以他們的(de)(de)(de)(de)因緣雖(sui)(sui)得以往生(sheng)(sheng)西方(fang)極(ji)樂世界,但(dan)不能(neng)(neng)到達無量壽佛(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)(de)(de)住(zhu)所(suo)。他們往生(sheng)(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)路只到極(ji)樂世界邊(bian)界上(shang)的(de)(de)(de)(de)七寶(bao)(bao)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)中(zhong)(zhong),這(zhe)(zhe)并不是阿(a)彌陀佛(fo)(fo)造成的(de)(de)(de)(de)。能(neng)(neng)否到達佛(fo)(fo)地取(qu)(qu)(qu)決于(yu)他們自身(shen)(shen)的(de)(de)(de)(de)行為(wei),取(qu)(qu)(qu)決于(yu)他們的(de)(de)(de)(de)內(nei)心取(qu)(qu)(qu)向。也有犯有疑(yi)惑的(de)(de)(de)(de)往生(sheng)(sheng)者從寶(bao)(bao)池蓮(lian)花中(zhong)(zhong)自然(ran)受身(shen)(shen),這(zhe)(zhe)些(xie)(xie)往生(sheng)(sheng)到邊(bian)界疑(yi)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)中(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)(de)眾生(sheng)(sheng),飲食方(fang)面的(de)(de)(de)(de)快樂有如忉(dao)利天,但(dan)其(qi)在(zai)七寶(bao)(bao)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)中(zhong)(zhong)不能(neng)(neng)得以外(wai)出,只能(neng)(neng)居住(zhu)在(zai)平地住(zhu)宅中(zhong)(zhong),不能(neng)(neng)像其(qi)他極(ji)樂世界的(de)(de)(de)(de)圣眾那樣隨意上(shang)升虛空。在(zai)五百年之中(zhong)(zhong),不能(neng)(neng)見到阿(a)彌陀佛(fo)(fo),不能(neng)(neng)聽聞佛(fo)(fo)說經法,不能(neng)(neng)見到菩薩、聲聞圣眾。這(zhe)(zhe)些(xie)(xie)人雖(sui)(sui)有小(xiao)智而不明達,對于(yu)佛(fo)(fo)法經典又知之不多(duo),心靈(ling)不得開(kai)解,精(jing)神不得歡樂,所(suo)以邊(bian)地疑(yi)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)中(zhong)(zhong)稱這(zhe)(zhe)些(xie)(xie)人為(wei)‘胎生(sheng)(sheng)’。
“也(ye)有(you)眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)明(ming)確地(di)信(xin)奉佛(fo)智(zhi)、乃(nai)至(zhi)勝智(zhi),斷除對佛(fo)的(de)所(suo)有(you)疑惑;同時也(ye)堅(jian)信(xin)自己的(de)善(shan)根,從而(er)作諸功(gong)德善(shan)事,全心全意地(di)回向(xiang)凈土,這(zhe)些眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)便全都(dou)得(de)(de)于七寶蓮花中自然(ran)化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng),結跏趺而(er)坐。片刻之(zhi)間(jian),身相形貌放(fang)射光明(ming),其(qi)人(ren)智(zhi)慧功(gong)德,具足如同諸菩薩。彌勒你應(ying)(ying)當(dang)知(zhi)道(dao),這(zhe)些化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)者之(zhi)所(suo)以得(de)(de)化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng),是(shi)他(ta)們的(de)智(zhi)慧超過上述胎生(sheng)(sheng)者。胎生(sheng)(sheng)者,在(zai)(zai)五百年中不(bu)得(de)(de)見佛(fo)法僧三寶,不(bu)得(de)(de)見菩薩作法儀(yi)式,不(bu)得(de)(de)修(xiu)習功(gong)德,不(bu)能(neng)得(de)(de)到奉事無量壽佛(fo)的(de)條(tiao)件。應(ying)(ying)當(dang)知(zhi)道(dao),這(zhe)是(shi)因(yin)為(wei)這(zhe)些人(ren)在(zai)(zai)前(qian)世的(de)時候,沒(mei)有(you)智(zhi)慧而(er)心生(sheng)(sheng)疑惑所(suo)造(zao)成。”
