六殿(dian)卞城(cheng)王所(suo)管轄(xia)的(de)地方(fang)是“大叫(jiao)喚(huan)大地獄及枉死城(cheng)”,另設十六小(xiao)地獄。凡世人忤逆不孝、怨天尤(you)地、對北(bei)溺便涕(ti)泣者,發入此獄。查所(suo)犯事件,亦要受到鐵(tie)錐打、火燒舌之(zhi)刑罰。再(zai)發小(xiao)獄受苦,滿日(ri)轉解第七殿(dian),再(zai)查有(you)無別(bie)惡。
十(shi)六(liu)(liu)小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)分別是(shi):一名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)常跪鐵砂小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、二(er)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)屎泥浸(jin)身小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、三名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)磨(mo)摧流血小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、四(si)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)鉗嘴含鍋小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、五名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)割腎鼠咬小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、六(liu)(liu)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)刺網蝗鉆(zhan)小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、七(qi)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)碓搗肉漿小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、八(ba)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)裂皮(pi)既擂小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、九名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)銜火(huo)閉喉(hou)小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、十(shi)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)桑(sang)火(huo)糅烘小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、十(shi)一名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)糞污小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、十(shi)二(er)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)牛雕馬躁小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、十(shi)三名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)鐨竅(qiao)小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、十(shi)四(si)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)鉆(zhan)頭脫殼小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、十(shi)五名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)腰(yao)斬小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)、十(shi)六(liu)(liu)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)剝皮(pi)揎草小(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)。
據晚唐至五代時期道明和(he)尚(shang)所(suo)撰《佛(fo)說十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)經(jing)(jing)》記載:佛(fo)在(zai)鳩(jiu)尸那城(cheng)阿(a)維跋(ba)提(ti)河邊娑羅雙樹間,臨涅(nie)槃時,為諸(zhu)(zhu)菩薩、摩(mo)訶薩、天(tian)龍神(shen)王(wang)(wang)、四(si)大(da)(da)天(tian)王(wang)(wang)、閻羅天(tian)子(zi)(zi)、太山府君(jun)、司命司錄、五道大(da)(da)神(shen)、地獄(yu)典官等授記說法。佛(fo)告大(da)(da)眾(zhong)閻羅天(tian)子(zi)(zi)于(yu)未來(lai)世作(zuo)(zuo)佛(fo),多生習善(shan)為犯戒(jie)故,退落琰摩(mo)天(tian)中(zhong)(zhong),作(zuo)(zuo)大(da)(da)魔(mo)王(wang)(wang),管攝諸(zhu)(zhu)鬼,科斷閻浮(fu)提(ti)內十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)惡五逆(ni)一(yi)(yi)切罪(zui)人。勸眾(zhong)生造此經(jing)(jing)及諸(zhu)(zhu)尊像(xiang)以薦拔亡(wang)魂(hun)、七(qi)(qi)七(qi)(qi)修齋(zhai)(zhai)造像(xiang)以報父母(mu)恩,令得(de)升(sheng)天(tian)。人死后(hou)從頭七(qi)(qi)、二七(qi)(qi)直(zhi)至七(qi)(qi)七(qi)(qi),百日(ri)、一(yi)(yi)年(nian)、三年(nian),亡(wang)魂(hun)將逐一(yi)(yi)經(jing)(jing)過(guo)十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)殿,亡(wang)人家屬須(xu)祈請十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)作(zuo)(zuo)齋(zhai)(zhai)修福,寫經(jing)(jing)造像(xiang),便可拔除亡(wang)魂(hun)罪(zui)業,使之(zhi)“不(bu)生三惡涂(途),不(bu)入一(yi)(yi)切諸(zhu)(zhu)大(da)(da)地獄(yu)”,而往生天(tian)道。過(guo)十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)若闕一(yi)(yi)齋(zhai)(zhai),則滯在(zai)一(yi)(yi)王(wang)(wang),留連(lian)受苦一(yi)(yi)年(nian)。若生人為己預修七(qi)(qi)齋(zhai)(zhai),于(yu)每月十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)五、三十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)日(ri)兩天(tian)持齋(zhai)(zhai),供養三寶,祈設十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang),修名納(na)狀,奏上六(liu)曹,如(ru)此則死后(hou)可配生快樂之(zhi)處,不(bu)住中(zhong)(zhong)陰四(si)十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)九日(ri),不(bu)待男女追救(jiu)命。(注釋:十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)經(jing)(jing)是提(ti)到十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)殿閻王(wang)(wang)的(de)最早(zao)記錄來(lai)源,因資料不(bu)全,卞城(cheng)王(wang)(wang)的(de)來(lai)源不(bu)明,但其中(zhong)(zhong)國本土(tu)化的(de)特征很明顯(xian))
據(ju)北宋時期沙(sha)門常謹所(suo)撰《地藏菩(pu)薩(sa)靈驗記》卷29中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)云:“沙(sha)門智佑(you)是(shi)西印度人也(ye),天福年中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(936~943)來自西(原文作(zuo)“來至(zhi)而”),住清(qing)泰寺,所(suo)持像(xiang)經中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),有地藏菩(pu)薩(sa)變(bian)相(xiang)(xiang)并本愿功德(de)經梵夾(jia),其像(xiang)相(xiang)(xiang)者(zhe)(zhe),中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)央圓(yuan)輪(lun)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)畫菩(pu)薩(sa)像(xiang),冠帽持寶錫(xi),左(zuo)右有十王(wang)(wang)像(xiang)各五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)人,左(zuo)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)者(zhe)(zhe):一(yi)泰(秦)廣王(wang)(wang)、二(er)(er)初江王(wang)(wang)、三宗(宋)帝王(wang)(wang)、四五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)官(guan)王(wang)(wang)、五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)閻(yan)羅(luo)大王(wang)(wang);右五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)者(zhe)(zhe):一(yi)變(bian)成王(wang)(wang)、二(er)(er)太山王(wang)(wang)、三平等(deng)王(wang)(wang)、四都(dou)市(shi)王(wang)(wang)、五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)道(dao)轉輪(lun)王(wang)(wang),一(yi)一(yi)各具司(si)命、司(si)錄、府君、典(dian)官(guan)等(deng)。
據明(ming)朝時期吳承(cheng)恩所(suo)撰《西游記》第五十(shi)八(ba)回(hui)二心攪亂大乾坤一(yi)體難修真寂滅記載:“大王(wang)(wang)(wang),背(bei)陰山上(shang),有兩個(ge)齊天大圣打得來也!”慌得那第一(yi)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)秦廣王(wang)(wang)(wang)傳報與二殿(dian)(dian)(dian)楚江王(wang)(wang)(wang)、三殿(dian)(dian)(dian)宋帝王(wang)(wang)(wang)、四殿(dian)(dian)(dian)卞城王(wang)(wang)(wang),五殿(dian)(dian)(dian)閻(yan)羅王(wang)(wang)(wang)、六殿(dian)(dian)(dian)平等王(wang)(wang)(wang)、七殿(dian)(dian)(dian)泰山王(wang)(wang)(wang)、八(ba)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)都市王(wang)(wang)(wang)、九(jiu)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)仵(wǔ)官王(wang)(wang)(wang)、十(shi)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)轉輪王(wang)(wang)(wang)。一(yi)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)轉一(yi)殿(dian)(dian)(dian),霎時間(jian),十(shi)王(wang)(wang)(wang)會齊,又著(zhu)人飛報與地藏王(wang)(wang)(wang)。盡在森羅殿(dian)(dian)(dian)上(shang),點(dian)聚陰兵,等擒真假。(注(zhu)釋:大體意思是有真假兩個(ge)孫悟空(kong)因為無人能夠分辨(bian)(bian)誰真誰假,跑到陰曹地府(fu)請十(shi)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)閻(yan)王(wang)(wang)(wang)、判官和地藏王(wang)(wang)(wang)菩(pu)薩來分辨(bian)(bian))
