指南(nan)宮俗稱仙公廟(miao),建于清光緒(xu)16年(nian)(1890年(nian)),主祀呂(lv)洞賓(bin),是臺灣(wan)著(zhu)名的(de)道教勝地,廟(miao)宇(yu)建筑(zhu)分(fen)正殿(dian)(dian)、凌霄寶殿(dian)(dian)、大雄(xiong)寶殿(dian)(dian)及(ji)大成殿(dian)(dian)四(si)(si)部分(fen)。正殿(dian)(dian)即(ji)孚佑帝君大殿(dian)(dian),是全廟(miao)最(zui)早(zao)建立的(de)一(yi)座(zuo);往(wang)左經南(nan)天門牌樓可抵后(hou)方的(de)凌霄寶殿(dian)(dian),其(qi)建筑(zhu)宏偉(wei),雕繪(hui)精巧,氣象(xiang)萬(wan)千;正殿(dian)(dian)右后(hou)方則(ze)為大雄(xiong)寶殿(dian)(dian),供(gong)奉(feng)泰國贈予(yu)的(de)釋迦牟佛像,該殿(dian)(dian)為金(jin)黃色圓頂建物,四(si)(si)周嵌(qian)坐(zuo)數座(zuo)佛像,是指南(nan)宮最(zui)雄(xiong)偉(wei)的(de)建筑(zhu);至于大成殿(dian)(dian)則(ze)位在最(zui)后(hou)方,殿(dian)(dian)內供(gong)奉(feng)孔子、孟子、曾子及(ji)堯(yao)舜禹三宮大帝,殿(dian)(dian)宇(yu)莊(zhuang)嚴肅穆,周遭環境雅潔(jie)靜謐(mi)。
規模宏大的指南宮幾乎涵蓋指南山整片山坡地,由山腳下,遠遠就可望見(jian)其巍峨金(jin)黃的屋頂,山上的廣(guang)播聲亦時有所聞,正殿前(qian)則(ze)小吃、攤販密集(ji),可見(jian)其信徒(tu)眾多、香(xiang)火(huo)鼎盛的程度(du)。從廟門(men)前(qian)遠眺,極目(mu)所望可及臺北盆地、淡(dan)水(shui)河和觀音山,居高臨(lin)下的靈秀(xiu)之氣盡現(xian)。

該廟緣于(yu)呂(lv)祖(zu)信(xin)仰,清光緒八年(nian)(nian) (1882年(nian)(nian))淡(dan)水縣(xian)令王彬林赴臺(tai)上(shang)任(ren)時,奉命恭(gong)迎山(shan)西芮縣(xian)永樂宮呂(lv)祖(zu)神像至(zhi)(zhi)臺(tai)祀奉,最初(chu)(chu)供(gong)奉于(yu)萬(wan)華玉清齋,光緒十(shi)六(liu)年(nian)(nian)(1890年(nian)(nian))在現(xian)址上(shang)專門修(xiu)建了一座供(gong)奉呂(lv)祖(zu)的(de)(de)小廟,直到1921年(nian)(nian)才開(kai)始(shi)增建,修(xiu)成(cheng)今日(ri)(ri)之規模。1966年(nian)(nian)又擴建了六(liu)層(ceng)(ceng)高(gao)的(de)(de)凌(ling)霄寶(bao)殿(dian),最上(shang)層(ceng)(ceng)凌(ling)云(yun)殿(dian)供(gong)奉玉皇大(da)(da)(da)帝(di)(di)、三(san)官(guan)大(da)(da)(da)帝(di)(di)、呂(lv)祖(zu)、關(guan)帝(di)(di)、文昌等神;中層(ceng)(ceng)三(san)清殿(dian)供(gong)奉元始(shi)天尊(zun)(zun)、靈寶(bao)天尊(zun)(zun)、道(dao)(dao)德天尊(zun)(zun)、東華帝(di)(di)君(jun)和瑤池金母;下層(ceng)(ceng)“夢(meng)告所”原為(wei)善(shan)男(nan)信(xin)女祈求呂(lv)祖(zu)托(tuo)夢(meng)的(de)(de)地方,現(xian)為(wei)中華道(dao)(dao)教(jiao)(jiao)學院所用(yong),從(cong)而(er)吸引(yin)了大(da)(da)(da)批信(xin)徒(tu)。指(zhi)南(nan)官(guan)因供(gong)奉的(de)(de)神多(duo),所以慶(qing)(qing)典(dian)也特別(bie)多(duo),大(da)(da)(da)型的(de)(de)有五(wu)次(ci):一是(shi)農(nong)歷的(de)(de)正月初(chu)(chu)一至(zhi)(zhi)初(chu)(chu)五(wu),慶(qing)(qing)賀(he)玉皇大(da)(da)(da)帝(di)(di)誕辰節(jie);二是(shi)農(nong)歷的(de)(de)三(san)月三(san)十(shi)至(zhi)(zhi)四(si)月初(chu)(chu)六(liu),慶(qing)(qing)賀(he)釋迦牟(mou)尼圣誕節(jie),并舉(ju)(ju)行隆(long)重(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)浴(yu)佛大(da)(da)(da)典(dian);三(san)是(shi)農(nong)歷的(de)(de)四(si)月十(shi)二至(zhi)(zhi)十(shi)四(si)慶(qing)(qing)祝呂(lv)祖(zu)圣誕,并舉(ju)(ju)行道(dao)(dao)教(jiao)(jiao)信(xin)徒(tu)皈依大(da)(da)(da)典(dian);四(si)是(shi)農(nong)歷的(de)(de)五(wu)月初(chu)(chu)十(shi)至(zhi)(zhi)十(shi)八祝賀(he)呂(lv)祖(zu)成(cheng)道(dao)(dao)日(ri)(ri),適時舉(ju)(ju)行隆(long)重(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)大(da)(da)(da)法(fa)會(hui);五(wu)是(shi)農(nong)歷九月初(chu)(chu)一至(zhi)(zhi)初(chu)(chu)九,舉(ju)(ju)行九皇禮斗法(fa)會(hui),慶(qing)(qing)祝斗姆元君(jun)誕辰。如此眾多(duo)的(de)(de)宗教(jiao)(jiao)活動和日(ri)(ri)常事務均由指(zhi)南(nan)宮常設的(de)(de)管理委 員會(hui)來主持,從(cong) 1991年(nian)(nian)起管委會(hui)主任(ren)委員為(wei)高(gao)忠信(xin)。 指(zhi)南(nan)宮位在政大(da)(da)(da)后山(shan)約2公里的(de)(de)猴山(shan)岳上(shang),海(hai)拔285公尺,是(shi)由政大(da)(da)(da)往筆架山(shan)、政大(da)(da)(da)山(shan)、猴山(shan)岳的(de)(de)必(bi)經之路。民(min)間傳(chuan)說(shuo)男(nan)女朋友不宜共游指(zhi)南(nan)宮,否則會(hui)遭呂(lv)洞賓嫉(ji)妒而(er)分離,為(wei)指(zhi)南(nan)宮增添(tian)了不少神話色彩。
清(qing)德宗光緒八(ba)年(1882年),淡水縣(xian)知縣(xian)王彬林(lin)往(wang)臺(tai)履任時,將(jiang)呂祖分靈迎奉往(wang)臺(tai)。初供(gong)奉于艋舺(今萬華)玉(yu)清(qing)齋。 其后(hou),景美(mei)街許多鄉民(min)因(yin)傳染(ran)病而(er)死,當(dang)地士紳乃將(jiang)呂祖神像請(qing)到景美(mei),傳染(ran)病漸漸平息,更有雙目失明而(er)重(zhong)見光明者,多年未有子(zi)息而(er)求(qiu)助呂祖后(hou)得子(zi)者,遂令前往(wang)頂禮膜拜的信眾日(ri)多。
仕紳們感念呂祖之神恩,有地主捐出(chu)土地,乃于清光緒十六年(1890年)在現(xian)址建(jian)指南宮(gong)。起初(chu)供于艋舟甲(今萬華)玉清齋,后又分靈(ling)奉祀于景(jing)尾的(de)肫風(feng)社(she)、深坑的(de)集文(wen)堂(tang)、淡水的(de)行忠堂(tang)、新(xin)竹的(de)普(pu)濟社(she)、蘭(lan)陽的(de)喚(huan)醒堂(tang)等處(chu)。緒十六年在現(xian)址建(jian)指南宮(gong)。1920至(zhi)1959年間曾多次擴(kuo)建(jian)重修(xiu)1920年至(zhi)1959年曾多次擴(kuo)建(jian)。1991年開始(shi),以不(bu)改變殿宇本(ben)貌的(de)原則下,進行維時七年的(de)重建(jian)本(ben)殿工程。
指南宮為儒道釋(shi)三教(jiao)同(tong)體的宏偉(wei)叢(cong)林。從最(zui)早供奉呂祖的本殿(dian)外,陸續完成(cheng)了(le)大成(cheng)殿(dian)、凌霄寶(bao)殿(dian)、大雄寶(bao)殿(dian),還有(you)尚未竣工的地(di)藏(zang)王(wang)寶(bao)殿(dian),可謂五殿(dian)同(tong)立。
以(yi)道(dao)教為(wei)主(zhu)體的(de)純陽(yang)寶(bao)(bao)(bao)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)又稱本殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),奉(feng)(feng)祀呂(lv)(lv)(lv)純陽(yang)祖(zu)師,中(zhong)懸著(zhu)“天(tian)下第(di)一靈山”的(de)牌匾;凌(ling)霄(xiao)寶(bao)(bao)(bao)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)內有三清(qing)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)、三官殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)等奉(feng)(feng)祀玉皇(huang)上(shang)(shang)帝(di)(di)(di)、三清(qing)道(dao)祖(zu)與三官大(da)(da)帝(di)(di)(di)。指(zhi)南(nan)(nan)宮(gong)地處指(zhi)南(nan)(nan)山腰(yao),從(cong)山下至宮(gong)門(men)前,須登山階千余級,然后可俯(fu)瞰臺北全市(shi)景色。該宮(gong)按照呂(lv)(lv)(lv)祖(zu)“三教同體”的(de)教義,殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)堂設置以(yi)尊道(dao)為(wei)中(zhong)心,兼祀儒(ru)釋,建有孚佑帝(di)(di)(di)君(jun)大(da)(da)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)、凌(ling)霄(xiao)寶(bao)(bao)(bao)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)、大(da)(da)雄寶(bao)(bao)(bao)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)和(he)大(da)(da)成(cheng)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)等,殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)宇頗為(wei)宏偉(wei)。孚佑帝(di)(di)(di)君(jun)大(da)(da)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)奉(feng)(feng)祀主(zhu)神呂(lv)(lv)(lv)純陽(yang)祖(zu)師。凌(ling)霄(xiao)寶(bao)(bao)(bao)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)依山疊建三層最(zui)(zui)上(shang)(shang)層為(wei)凌(ling)云殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),供奉(feng)(feng)玉皇(huang)大(da)(da)帝(di)(di)(di)、三官大(da)(da)帝(di)(di)(di)和(he)呂(lv)(lv)(lv)祖(zu)、關(guan)帝(di)(di)(di)、文昌等神;中(zhong)層為(wei)三清(qing)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),供奉(feng)(feng)元始(shi)、靈寶(bao)(bao)(bao)和(he)道(dao)德天(tian)尊以(yi)及東(dong)華帝(di)(di)(di)君(jun)、瑤池王母、最(zui)(zui)下一層原是“夢告所(suo)”,傳說呂(lv)(lv)(lv)祖(zu)常對祈求他(ta)的(de)善男信(xin)女托(tuo)夢應答,常有信(xin)徒到(dao)此求
夢以決疑難(nan)。據傳,原在(zai)下層(ceng)設有(you)許多“托夢屋(wu)”,或大(da)或小,按捐(juan)資(zi)多少分(fen)配(pei)。信(xin)徒(tu)們須先在(zai)神前(qian)擲(zhi)筊獲允后才可進(jin)入托夢屋(wu)。只許女眷入屋(wu),不準男(nan)子進(jin)入。二十世(shi)紀五十年代(dai)以后,求夢習俗已(yi)逐漸廢止(zhi)。大(da)雄寶殿的正殿奉祀(si)佛(fo)祖釋迦世(shi)尊(zun),阿彌陀佛(fo)與藥師(shi)(shi)佛(fo),圓通寶殿供奉觀(guan)音菩薩。大(da)成(cheng)殿奉祀(si)至圣先師(shi)(shi)孔子。
經過(guo)(guo)山門來到拜殿(dian)(dian),可看見一(yi)對龍(long)柱(zhu),龍(long)頭向上(shang)翹起。進入(ru)殿(dian)(dian)內(nei),向圍(wei)著紅色欄桿內(nei)的(de)神(shen)龕地(di)上(shang)仔細(xi)看,會發(fa)現有(you)盤(pan)龍(long)吐珠(zhu)的(de)“龍(long)陛(bi)”。繞過(guo)(guo)鼓樓,來到孚佑帝君大(da)殿(dian)(dian),是三層(ceng)樓的(de)建筑,一(yi)樓香客房,提供夜宿,也就(jiu)是以前的(de)祈夢(meng)室。在當時,假如信徒有(you)所祈求,而(er)且得到呂(lv)仙公(gong)的(de)同意(yi)住(zhu)進祈夢(meng)室,那么就(jiu)可以在夜夢(meng)中(zhong)得到指(zhi)點。循著仙公(gong)廟后的(de)左(zuo)側小(xiao)徑,可到達大(da)雄寶殿(dian)(dian)。二、三樓是正殿(dian)(dian),供奉(feng)釋迦牟尼佛,其中(zhong)巿一(yi)尊(zun)是泰國巴博(bo)元帥惠贈的(de)泰國國寶-釋迦牟尼金(jin)佛,是參照印(yin)度(du)(du)科達時代(dai)的(de)印(yin)度(du)(du)佛像(xiang)形態,由九(jiu)種(zhong)金(jin)屬(shu)礦石精工鑄成,是該廟最特別的(de)一(yi)尊(zun)佛像(xiang)。從仙公(gong)廟后的(de)右側小(xiao)徑,順著景色怡人的(de)斜坡廊(lang)道(dao)直走(zou),就(jiu)可來到凌霄寶殿(dian)(dian)。天兵天將護衛在門檐上(shang),殿(dian)(dian)內(nei)有(you)許多(duo)神(shen)佛,顯得莊嚴(yan)肅穆。沿寶殿(dian)(dian)左(zuo)側走(zou)道(dao)過(guo)(guo)去,是指(zhi)南(nan)觀光(guang)樂園,視野遼闊(kuo)。旁邊有(you)露營場,兩地(di)之(zhi)間(jian)有(you)山路通孔子(zi)殿(dian)(dian),殿(dian)(dian)外有(you)白墻,墻上(shang)有(you)孔子(zi)和弟(di)子(zi)周游列國的(de)浮雕,并(bing)環繞一(yi)只麒麟,象征孔子(zi)的(de)精神(shen),就(jiu)像(xiang)鳳麟角(jiao)般珍(zhen)貴。另外,有(you)件事(shi)值(zhi)得一(yi)提,據說(shuo)呂(lv)洞賓當年追求不到八仙中(zhong)唯一(yi)的(de)女性-何仙姑,因此會嫉妒在一(yi)起的(de)情侶。
大(da)雄寶殿(dian)又稱佛祖(zu)殿(dian),奉祀釋迦牟尼佛、阿彌(mi)陀佛、藥師佛與觀音菩(pu)薩(sa),佛教(jiao)為主(zhu)體(ti)。
指南宮后山的大成殿亦稱(cheng)孔(kong)廟,為原來之清心閣所改建(jian),奉祀至圣(sheng)先師(shi)。各殿的設計建(jian)筑,巍峨雄偉,壁畫(hua)石(shi)刻,雕梁(liang)畫(hua)楝(lian),全是名家精(jing)心杰作,充分表現中(zhong)國傳統(tong)的建(jian)筑藝(yi)術風格。
此外(wai),還有奉(feng)祀土地(di)公的(de)福德祠,祠前有依地(di)理(li)風水而建的(de)七星(xing)池(chi),沿著(zhu)池(chi)旁(pang)的(de)石階往(wang)上(shang)走,可到(dao)指南(nan)宮回廊(lang),飽覽木柵觀(guan)光茶(cha)園的(de)景(jing)色。而遍植奇(qi)花異卉的(de)指南(nan)宮觀(guan)光樂(le)園,豢養了(le)各種(zhong)珍禽異獸及(ji)天(tian)然鳥園,由于木柵動(dong)物園的(de)開放,現不對外(wai)開放。
純陽(yang)寶殿:為主殿,主祀呂仙(xian)祖。
凌霄(xiao)寶殿:二(er)層(ceng)樓(lou)建筑,主祀元始(shi)天(tian)尊、玉皇大帝(di)、王母娘(niang)娘(niang)與(yu)諸位帝(di)君(jun)、星君(jun)。
大(da)雄寶殿:為(wei)佛教道場,廣場前(qian)門依儀規(gui)設有天王殿,即供有彌勒佛像(xiang)與四大(da)天王像(xiang)。
大成殿:主祀孔(kong)子與(yu)七十二弟子。
指(zhi)南(nan)宮(gong)(gong)的主要慶典有玉皇禮(li)斗(dou)法(fa)會(hui)(正(zheng)月(yue)初(chu)一至初(chu)九)、年(nian)斗(dou)(正(zheng)月(yue)十(shi)五(wu))、安太歲(正(zheng)月(yue)十(shi)五(wu))、光明斗(dou)(正(zheng)月(yue)十(shi)五(wu)、六月(yue)十(shi)五(wu))、浴(yu)佛(fo)大典(四(si)月(yue)初(chu)二至初(chu)六)、皈依儀典(四(si)月(yue)十(shi)四(si))、孚(fu)佑帝君(jun)成(cheng)道(dao)祝(zhu)壽禮(li)斗(dou)法(fa)會(hui)(五(wu)月(yue)十(shi)六至十(shi)八日(ri)(ri))、九皇禮(li)斗(dou)法(fa)會(hui)(九月(yue)一日(ri)(ri)至九日(ri)(ri))、護國祈(qi)安大清醮(十(shi)月(yue)廿一至廿九日(ri)(ri))、普度陰(yin)陽的佛(fo)燈(deng)祈(qi)愿(yuan)(正(zheng)月(yue)十(shi)五(wu),以上均(jun)為(wei)農歷)等。其中尤以孚(fu)佑帝君(jun)成(cheng)道(dao)日(ri)(ri)及八月(yue)初(chu)二日(ri)(ri)指(zhi)南(nan)宮(gong)(gong)建廟日(ri)(ri),最為(wei)熱鬧(nao),燒香信徒扶老攜幼(you),陸繹不絕。 指(zhi)南(nan)宮(gong)(gong)設有管理委員(yuan)會(hui),主持宮(gong)(gong)內日(ri)(ri)常事(shi)務和全年(nian)的宗教法(fa)會(hui)活動。
