寺院歷史
宋紹興(xing)十(shi)年(公元1140年)重(zhong)置揭(jie)陽(yang)(yang)縣(xian)(xian),是(shi)年法山禪(chan)師創建(jian)揭(jie)陽(yang)(yang)雙(shuang)峰寺(si),成邑中(zhong)叢林。原址在今之揭(jie)東縣(xian)(xian)桂嶺(古(gu)稱磐溪都)雙(shuang)山南麓(lu),后山兩峰并峙,頂(ding)有(you)六丈高天然巨(ju)石(shi)名(ming)曰“石(shi)母(mu)”,周圍景(jing)(jing)致頗多(duo),昔(xi)有(you)“雙(shuang)峰八(ba)景(jing)(jing)”之說。寺(si)之規模宏大壯觀(guan),與潮州開元寺(si)、潮陽(yang)(yang)靈(ling)(ling)山寺(si)并稱潮郡三大名(ming)剎。每逢祝圣良期,邑中(zhong)官(guan)紳檀越多(duo)有(you)沐(mu)浴來山禮(li)佛(fo)者,由官(guan)道至距寺(si)三里外之“鼎蓋山”驅轎下馬步行(xing)進寺(si),以(yi)表虔誠。按民間相(xiang)傳,紹興(xing)十(shi)年重(zhong)建(jian)揭(jie)陽(yang)(yang)縣(xian)(xian)城時,地理家認為(wei),“地龍”從蓮花山脈的(de)龍頸一直行(xing)到雙(shuang)山,共99峰,再往東就是(shi)平川,而玉(yu)滘村正(zheng)是(shi)“靈(ling)(ling)氣所(suo)鐘”,所(suo)以(yi)作為(wei)第(di)99峰的(de)石(shi)母(mu)山,也就成了風水寶(bao)地,而建(jian)起了雙(shuang)峰寺(si)。它(ta)是(shi)古(gu)揭(jie)陽(yang)(yang)文化的(de)一種(zhong)綜合(he)積淀物。
雙峰(feng)(feng)寺(si)(si)(si)歷(li)代屢(lv)廢屢(lv)興。志(zhi)書記:清雍正戊申(1728年(nian)(nian))六(liu)月(yue),雙峰(feng)(feng)寺(si)(si)(si)毀於颶(ju)風,楝梁楹桷瓦(wa)蓋一應俱(ju)盡(jin),知縣陳樹(shu)芝主(zhu)持修復(fu)。民國十(shi)四年(nian)(nian),縣長陳卓凡廢之(zhi),寺(si)(si)(si)屋充作教育費用。邑紳林(lin)存厚、林(lin)仲(zhong)良、局(ju)伯(bo)初等發(fa)起籌款贖回葺(qi)復(fu)。50年(nian)(nian)代,寺(si)(si)(si)僧(seng)推(tui)行“農禪并舉”之(zhi)策,以寺(si)(si)(si)辨工廠。“文革”期(qi)間,佛像、文物俱(ju)毀。
改革開放後,縣人民政(zheng)府(fu)貫徹落實宗教政(zheng)策,決定修建(jian)雙峰寺(si),恢復(fu)古(gu)跡,開辟旅游(you)勝地(di)。1986年(nian)10月25日舉(ju)行(xing)奠基禮,破土興(xing)工。經過(guo)整(zheng)整(zheng)61個月施工,耗資四(si)百萬(wan)元,建(jian)筑面積2400平方米,1991年(nian)12月10日隆重舉(ju)行(xing)修建(jian)落成暨佛像(xiang)開光典禮,盛況(kuang)空前。
建筑特點
雙峰寺(si)(si)占地3200平(ping)方(fang)米,其中(zhong)建筑物2400平(ping)方(fang)米重(zhong)修后寺(si)(si)院呈四合院布局,中(zhong)軸線上(shang),依次為山門(men)、前廳、大雄(xiong)寶殿(dian)、泰佛殿(dian),有(you)東西兩廊。寺(si)(si)中(zhong)有(you)歷代文(wen)人(ren)雅士碑刻歲通,寺(si)(si)中(zhong)有(you)磚刻五塊,其中(zhong)虎壽碑最為珍貴。泰佛殿(dian)為樓閣式,正殿(dian)中(zhong)金(jin)身泰式佛像一(yi)座,相傳(chuan)走近,其耳鉤(gou)即不斷輕搖(yao),被(bei)傳(chuan)為異事。清代郭光任陽江儒(ru)學時由肇郡移於雙峰寺(si)(si)中(zhong),并題(ti)跋。寺(si)(si)中(zhong)有(you)木棉樹,雙峰竹(zhu)。相傳(chuan)孟(meng)宗(zong)哭竹(zhu),孝感天地,每節(jie)黃皮竹(zhu)上(shang)都留下了幾行(xing)深綠色淚痕。寺(si)(si)內珍藏有(you)泰國華(hua)僑贈送之觀音菩(pu)(pu)薩銅像,人(ren)們前來瞻仰,常常見到菩(pu)(pu)薩的耳環在微微擺動,被(bei)稱為雙峰一(yi)奇。
景點評價
昔日這(zhe)(zhe)座寺(si)院(yuan),環境幽雅,寺(si)內(nei)聳竹修篁,庭(ting)樹(shu)垂蔭,內(nei)中建(jian)筑,曲經(jing)通幽。每當夕陽(yang)西(xi)墜,鳥(niao)雀歸巢,伴之(zhi)(zhi)鐘鼓聲(sheng)聲(sheng),木魚(yu)篤篤,梵經(jing)陳聞之(zhi)(zhi)際,別(bie)具一番情趣(qu),故有(you)(you)“雙峰晚(wan)鐘”之(zhi)(zhi)稱(cheng)。于是“雙峰晚(wan)鐘”稱(cheng)為(wei)揭陽(yang)古八景之(zhi)(zhi)一。明末大學士郭之(zhi)(zhi)奇(qi)有(you)(you)雙峰寺(si)懷石山禪(chan)師詩為(wei)證:“三(san)百年來舊佛宮,依稀猶記(ji)石心(xin)翁。預(yu)為(wei)法界傳燈(deng)缽,故人(ren)塵環試色空。四壁人(ren)煙天早暮(mu),一灣流水日西(xi)東。鏡臺菩樹(shu)今何在,錫(xi)杖遙遙覷紫峰。”“雙峰寺(si)”也(ye)因(yin)此享譽海內(nei)外(wai),游(you)人(ren)如鯽,香火(huo)不(bu)斷。許(xu)(xu)多(duo)文人(ren)騷(sao)客,達官貴人(ren),更(geng)是慕名而來,在這(zhe)(zhe)座古寺(si)名剎吟詩詠(yong)和,流連忘(wang)返,留下了許(xu)(xu)多(duo)珍貴的墨(mo)寶。
如(ru)今(jin),修葺一新的雙(shuang)峰寺,占地面積3000多平方(fang)米,殿(dian)宇更為壯觀宏偉,天王殿(dian)、大(da)雄寶殿(dian)、藏(zang)經樓三(san)宇并立,觀音(yin)閣、地藏(zang)閣精巧玲瓏,東西長廊、耳房及角樓,結構嚴謹,整個寺院雕(diao)梁畫(hua)棟,古(gu)樸大(da)方(fang)。匯集古(gu)建筑精粹,結合現(xian)代化(hua)的建筑技術,去蕪存(cun)精,博采眾長,使該寺顯得古(gu)色古(gu)香,美輪美奐,寺內奇花異卉,爭妍斗勝,別具一番情(qing)趣(qu)。
寺中有(you)磚刻五塊,其中虎壽碑(bei)最為珍(zhen)貴。虎字(zi)碑(bei)是清朝江南提(ti)督(du)國(guo)棟(dong)所書(shu)。壽字(zi)碑(bei)為北宋著名理學家陳摶聽書(shu),粗(cu)看為“壽”字(zi),細看則包(bao)含“林富佛(fo)壽”四字(zi),為廣(guang)東省價(jia)值較高的石碑(bei)。
揭陽雙峰院記
此記(ji)為(wei)(wei)元(yuan)人(ren)程(cheng)準于(yu)泰定(ding)元(yuan)年(nian)(公(gong)元(yuan)1324)所(suo)(suo)(suo)記(ji),收錄(lu)于(yu)明《永樂大典(dian)》卷五(wu)三(san)四(si)四(si),有(you)序云:“諸寺(si)院記(ji)文(wen),不(bu)關世教者不(bu)錄(lu)。此篇獨能不(bu)膠異說,以(yi)悲(bei)喜衍(yan)義,行文(wen)有(you)法(fa),感人(ren)情思。與(yu)他寺(si)院記(ji)遠甚,故時錄(lu)之(zhi)。”此乃雙(shuang)峰(feng)寺(si)之(zhi)重要(yao)史(shi)料(liao)。文(wen)中明確記(ji)載縣(xian)尹彭振于(yu)公(gong)元(yuan)1310年(nian)請(qing)石山禪師“初(chu)構殿于(yu)瓦(wa)礫間”重建(jian)雙(shuang)峰(feng)寺(si)之(zhi)史(shi)實,我們認為(wei)(wei)應是(shi)在原(yuan)址重建(jian)。與(yu)揭(jie)陽一些書報所(suo)(suo)(suo)說“明洪武年(nian)間,僧人(ren)石山將雙(shuang)峰(feng)寺(si)遷(qian)至榕城馬山巷”有(you)明顯出入,本記(ji)文(wen)所(suo)(suo)(suo)據為(wei)(wei)程(cheng)準于(yu)公(gong)元(yuan)1324年(nian)所(suo)(suo)(suo)記(ji),元(yuan)人(ren)記(ji)元(yuan)事(shi),應可信也(ye)。
世人以成(cheng)壞(huai)(huai)觀物(wu),見(jian)其(qi)(qi)(qi)成(cheng)無不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)喜(xi)(xi),見(jian)其(qi)(qi)(qi)壞(huai)(huai)無不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)悲。成(cheng)者(zhe)自(zi)成(cheng),壞(huai)(huai)者(zhe)自(zi)壞(huai)(huai);于(yu)我何(he)有(you)(you),而作是念(nian)?善哉善哉!此天(tian)地(di)圣賢之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心(xin)(xin),愚不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肖(xiao)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)所同(tong),儒(ru)者(zhe)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)謂善端,佛者(zhe)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)謂無量心(xin)(xin)也(ye)。一切萬(wan)物(wu),皆有(you)(you)成(cheng)壞(huai)(huai);是悲喜(xi)(xi)心(xin)(xin),無有(you)(you)成(cheng)壞(huai)(huai)。由其(qi)(qi)(qi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)壞(huai)(huai),壞(huai)(huai)無不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)成(cheng)。故(gu)自(zi)一念(nian)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)喜(xi)(xi),以圖其(qi)(qi)(qi)成(cheng),天(tian)工可代,七政可齊,六府可修(xiu)也(ye):自(zi)一念(nian)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)悲,以極其(qi)(qi)(qi)壞(huai)(huai),洚(jiang)水可抑,龍(long)蛇可驅,河流可塞也(ye)。鵲巢石(shi)窟,珍樓寶(bao)屋,廣(guang)狹不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)同(tong),華(hua)陋殊絕,皆不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)過人天(tian)小果,曾何(he)足以置欣(xin)戚(qi)于(yu)其(qi)(qi)(qi)間!然(ran)十室之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)邑,三(san)家之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)市,蘧(qu)廬一宿,終身眷眷不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)忘。他日過之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),頹垣斷礎,未有(you)(you)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)徘(pai)徊故(gu)墟,為(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)感愴者(zhe);他日又(you)過之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),疏籬環堵(du),如(ru)舊觀重來,又(you)未有(you)(you)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)欣(xin)然(ran)慰滿,若(ruo)己與有(you)(you)力焉。此豈復有(you)(you)窮奢極侈之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)工,動心(xin)(xin)悅目(mu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)景,可以牽縈懷抱(bao)者(zhe)?終不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)成(cheng)壞(huai)(huai),壞(huai)(huai)無不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)成(cheng),彼之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心(xin)(xin)猶(you)吾之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心(xin)(xin)也(ye),吾不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知此日是心(xin)(xin)何(he)從而來哉?天(tian)高地(di)下(xia),在(zai)物(wu)無終壞(huai)(huai)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)理;往過來續(xu),在(zai)人有(you)(you)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)壞(huai)(huai)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心(xin)(xin)。彼積蘇累(lei)塊,以成(cheng)壞(huai)(huai)較難(nan)易(yi);金(jin)地(di)寶(bao)林,以興創(chuang)為(wei)殊勝。雖其(qi)(qi)(qi)徒稍知道者(zhe),亦必戚(qi)然(ran)顰、閔(min)然(ran)嘯矣!
皇元仁(ren)洽(qia)萬(wan)方,垂情慈(ci)教(jiao),天馬飲海,龍象(xiang)如如。而(er)揭陽雙峰獨罹劫(jie)灰,自(zi)丙子至戊申三十(shi)三載。歸(gui)德(de)彭君(jun)振來尹茲(zi)邑,報恩無(wu)地,將經始起(qi)廢。民(min)父老合辭薦請,君(jun)乃捐(juan)俸流貤,起(qi)釋子石山(shan)必瓊董其役。瓊亦(yi)罄囊畢力,初構(gou)殿于(yu)瓦礫間,始庚戌夏(xia),迄辛(xin)亥(hai)冬。邑人(ren)劉君(jun)用賓(bin)、林君(jun)叔翊(yi)好(hao)善隨喜(xi),法筵開,經輪轉(zhuan),山(shan)門(men)品列,廊楹魚貫,僧寮師室,香積寶(bao)庋,種(zhong)種(zhong)完美。又三年,梅倅蒙君(jun)果(guo)沿檄適至,暨歸(gui)裒鏹五十(shi)萬(wan)圓(yuan)滿之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。且尹有人(ren)民(min)社稷,補弊塞責之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)暇,能以余(yu)(yu)力及此,蒙君(jun)非居仕是邦而(er)施與無(wu)吝容。若劉與林,鄉之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)善士,視瓊雖為(wei)善不(bu)(bu)(bu)同,要皆非有所(suo)利而(er)為(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)者。不(bu)(bu)(bu)遠(yuan)數(shu)千(qian)里(li),念記于(yu)予。公等得無(wu)悲其壞而(er)喜(xi)其成(cheng)乎(hu)?是心也(ye)何從(cong)而(er)來哉?無(wu)往不(bu)(bu)(bu)復者天之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)道(dao)(dao),感今懷古(gu)者人(ren)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)情,余(yu)(yu)所(suo)謂天地圣賢愚不(bu)(bu)(bu)肖之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)所(suo)同。蓋有不(bu)(bu)(bu)求而(er)獲,無(wu)為(wei)而(er)為(wei)者。秉彝好(hao)德(de),固非夷法之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)所(suo)能外也(ye)。韓(han)(han)山(shan)蒼(cang)蒼(cang),韓(han)(han)木章(zhang)章(zhang);大顛堂堂,廬存人(ren)忘!數(shu)書(shu)(shu)珍(zhen)重(zhong)(zhong),吾意公亦(yi)喜(xi)其聰明識(shi)道(dao)(dao)理而(er)重(zhong)(zhong)其憂世(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)悲也(ye)夫!斯文耿光,千(qian)古(gu)一日。余(yu)(yu)方求公書(shu)(shu)而(er)玩索之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),又安得不(bu)(bu)(bu)因君(jun)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)喜(xi)而(er)為(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)書(shu)(shu)也(ye)!尹字(zi)文舉,今為(wei)惠(hui)州路推官。蒙字(zi)仲剛,今為(wei)潮幕長。謙齋劉君(jun),時(shi)主簿程鄉。友梅、石山(shan),林與瓊自(zi)號也(ye)。財施工力姓(xing)氏列著碑陰。
