東營市利津縣第二中學始建于1952年10月,是黃河三角洲地區建校較早的中學之一,始名為山東省墾利中學(1951年(nian)陳家莊(zhuang)是(shi)中(zhong)(zhong)共墾(ken)利(li)縣(xian)(xian)(xian)委、縣(xian)(xian)(xian)政(zheng)府駐地)。1956年(nian)5月(yue)墾(ken)利(li)縣(xian)(xian)(xian)建制撤銷,原(yuan)轄(xia)區劃屬利(li)津縣(xian)(xian)(xian),學(xue)校(xiao)暫(zan)定名“陳莊(zhuang)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”。1956年(nian)7月(yue)20日,定名為(wei)“山東省利(li)津縣(xian)(xian)(xian)第(di)(di)二中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”。1958年(nian)11月(yue)沾(zhan)(化)利(li)(津)合并(bing)為(wei)沾(zhan)化縣(xian)(xian)(xian),學(xue)校(xiao)遂更名為(wei)“沾(zhan)化縣(xian)(xian)(xian)第(di)(di)三中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”。1961年(nian)9月(yue),沾(zhan)利(li)分縣(xian)(xian)(xian),學(xue)校(xiao)恢復“利(li)津縣(xian)(xian)(xian)第(di)(di)二中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”校(xiao)名。1969年(nian)4月(yue)學(xue)校(xiao)下放(fang)(fang)陳莊(zhuang)人民公(gong)社管理,校(xiao)名改為(wei)“陳莊(zhuang)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”。1969年(nian)12月(yue)學(xue)校(xiao)復名“利(li)津縣(xian)(xian)(xian)第(di)(di)二中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”。1976年(nian)9月(yue),學(xue)校(xiao)再(zai)度(du)下放(fang)(fang)到公(gong)社管理。1978年(nian)8月(yue)再(zai)次復名“利(li)津縣(xian)(xian)(xian)第(di)(di)二中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”并(bing)沿用(yong)至今。
學(xue)校現有58個(ge)高(gao)中教(jiao)學(xue)班,3200余(yu)名在校生。專任教(jiao)師(shi)(shi)(shi)256人(ren),研究生學(xue)歷12人(ren),本科244人(ren)。其(qi)中,特(te)級教(jiao)師(shi)(shi)(shi)1人(ren),高(gao)級教(jiao)師(shi)(shi)(shi)61人(ren),一(yi)級教(jiao)師(shi)(shi)(shi)84人(ren),二(er)級教(jiao)師(shi)(shi)(shi)110人(ren)。

學校(xiao)地(di)處黃(huang)河勝利大(da)橋(qiao)北(bei)(bei)端的省級中(zhong)心鎮(zhen)——陳莊鎮(zhen),坐落于(yu)陳莊鎮(zhen)濱港路5號。學校(xiao)分南北(bei)(bei)兩院(yuan),占地(di)150畝,總建筑(zhu)面積(ji)達7萬平(ping)方米(mi)。教室(shi)(shi)和功(gong)能室(shi)(shi)都配(pei)備了(le)多媒體,實驗(yan)室(shi)(shi)均按國(guo)家(jia)標準設計配(pei)備,通用技術實驗(yan)室(shi)(shi)被教育(yu)部教學儀器研究所授予(yu)“高中(zhong)通用技術標準實驗(yan)室(shi)(shi)”,音樂室(shi)(shi)、美術室(shi)(shi)、舞(wu)蹈(dao)室(shi)(shi)、歷史(shi)室(shi)(shi)、地(di)理室(shi)(shi)、圖書館、閱覽(lan)室(shi)(shi)等(deng)全(quan)部高標準配(pei)備到位。
