甪(lu)(lu)直(zhi)高級(ji)(ji)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)創辦于(yu)1942年(nian)(nian)(nian)9月,初名(ming)(ming)(ming)“私立甪(lu)(lu)直(zhi)初級(ji)(ji)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)”。甪(lu)(lu)直(zhi)是(shi)一座與蘇(su)(su)州古城同齡,具有(you)2500多年(nian)(nian)(nian)歷史的中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國水(shui)鄉文化(hua)古鎮。甪(lu)(lu)直(zhi)原名(ming)(ming)(ming)為(wei)甫里,因(yin)唐代詩人(ren)陸龜(gui)蒙(號甫里先生,字魯望)隱居于(yu)此故名(ming)(ming)(ming)。1945年(nian)(nian)(nian)學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)更名(ming)(ming)(ming)為(wei)“私立魯望中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)”。1956年(nian)(nian)(nian)8月改為(wei)公立,易(yi)名(ming)(ming)(ming)為(wei)“吳縣甪(lu)(lu)直(zhi)初級(ji)(ji)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)”。1958年(nian)(nian)(nian)9月增設高中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)部成為(wei)完全中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue),更名(ming)(ming)(ming)為(wei)“吳縣甪(lu)(lu)直(zhi)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)”。2000年(nian)(nian)(nian)4月創建(jian)為(wei)江(jiang)(jiang)蘇(su)(su)省(sheng)重點中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue),2004年(nian)(nian)(nian)3月評(ping)為(wei)江(jiang)(jiang)蘇(su)(su)省(sheng)三(san)星級(ji)(ji)高中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)。2012年(nian)(nian)(nian)啟動高中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)部易(yi)地新建(jian)工程(cheng),新建(jian)高中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)占地面(mian)積83161平(ping)方米,建(jian)筑面(mian)積46793平(ping)方米,總投資約(yue)2.4億元(yuan)。2014年(nian)(nian)(nian)8月,新建(jian)校(xiao)舍竣工投入使(shi)用,原校(xiao)實行(xing)初高中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)分設,高中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)遷(qian)入新校(xiao)。經(jing)報(bao)批(pi),于(yu)2014年(nian)(nian)(nian)11月正式命名(ming)(ming)(ming)為(wei)“蘇(su)(su)州市吳中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)區甪(lu)(lu)直(zhi)高級(ji)(ji)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)”。
古鎮(zhen)甪直(zhi),是(shi)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育家葉(xie)(xie)圣(sheng)陶(tao)(tao)曾經任教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)并實(shi)踐教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育理(li)念的(de)(de)(de)地方(fang);甪中(zhong)(zhong)舊址,則是(shi)葉(xie)(xie)老(lao)夫婦曾經生(sheng)活居住的(de)(de)(de)地方(fang)。77年(nian)蘊蓄積淀,甪直(zhi)高(gao)級(ji)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)始(shi)終追(zhui)隨葉(xie)(xie)老(lao)遺風,堅(jian)持(chi)“教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)為人生(sheng)”的(de)(de)(de)辦學(xue)理(li)念,堅(jian)持(chi)“實(shi)踐為人生(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育,培(pei)養(yang)(yang)臻(zhen)于(yu)至善的(de)(de)(de)儲能人才”的(de)(de)(de)辦學(xue)目標。實(shi)踐葉(xie)(xie)圣(sheng)陶(tao)(tao)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育思想,建設高(gao)品位特色高(gao)中(zhong)(zhong),引導教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)“像(xiang)葉(xie)(xie)圣(sheng)陶(tao)(tao)那樣做(zuo)老(lao)師(shi)”“教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)是(shi)為了(le)(le)達到(dao)不(bu)需要(yao)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)”,培(pei)養(yang)(yang)學(xue)生(sheng)“自(zi)(zi)(zi)主(zhu)、自(zi)(zi)(zi)探、自(zi)(zi)(zi)辨(bian)、自(zi)(zi)(zi)律”之能力(li)。葉(xie)(xie)圣(sheng)陶(tao)(tao)墓前紀(ji)念亭題名(ming)“未厭”,用的(de)(de)(de)是(shi)他自(zi)(zi)(zi)己的(de)(de)(de)座右銘。葉(xie)(xie)圣(sheng)陶(tao)(tao)先生(sheng)曾把自(zi)(zi)(zi)己的(de)(de)(de)書齋(zhai)題名(ming)為“未厭居”,以示他在任何情況下,對人世(shi)總(zong)抱著希望,決不(bu)“厭世(shi)”,而對工(gong)作則永不(bu)“厭足”。座落在葉(xie)(xie)老(lao)“第二故鄉(xiang)”的(de)(de)(de)甪直(zhi)高(gao)級(ji)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue),懷揣(chuai)憧憬,耕耘不(bu)止,一路(lu)走來,學(xue)校造就了(le)(le)一代代德藝雙馨的(de)(de)(de)名(ming)師(shi),培(pei)養(yang)(yang)了(le)(le)一批(pi)(pi)批(pi)(pi)德才兼備的(de)(de)(de)學(xue)子。
