南京市(shi)北京東路小學坐落南京市(shi)城(cheng)中,東靠玄(xuan)奘寺(si),西鄰市(shi)政府、雞鳴寺(si),北依明(ming)城(cheng)墻,南望總統府,地理位置優越,歷史文化(hua)深厚。
學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)前身是南(nan)(nan)京(jing)(jing)市(shi)(shi)(shi)藍家(jia)莊國民小(xiao)學(xue)(xue),創建于(yu)1947年(nian)2月。解放(fang)后(hou),學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)由(you)南(nan)(nan)京(jing)(jing)市(shi)(shi)(shi)管委會(hui)軍代表接(jie)管,更(geng)名(ming)為(wei)南(nan)(nan)京(jing)(jing)市(shi)(shi)(shi)藍家(jia)莊小(xiao)學(xue)(xue),受南(nan)(nan)京(jing)(jing)市(shi)(shi)(shi)教育局直接(jie)領導。1955年(nian)11月,學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)更(geng)名(ming)為(wei)南(nan)(nan)京(jing)(jing)市(shi)(shi)(shi)和平路(lu)小(xiao)學(xue)(xue),被定(ding)為(wei)南(nan)(nan)京(jing)(jing)市(shi)(shi)(shi)重點(dian)學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)。1967年(nian)4月,又更(geng)名(ming)為(wei)要武小(xiao)學(xue)(xue),直至1970年(nian)9月,正式定(ding)名(ming)南(nan)(nan)京(jing)(jing)市(shi)(shi)(shi)北京(jing)(jing)東路(lu)小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)。1978年(nian)5月,學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)再次被確(que)定(ding)為(wei)市(shi)(shi)(shi)區重點(dian)學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao),后(hou)又被確(que)定(ding)為(wei)市(shi)(shi)(shi)、區實(shi)驗(yan)小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)。1980年(nian),南(nan)(nan)京(jing)(jing)市(shi)(shi)(shi)北京(jing)(jing)東路(lu)小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)被江(jiang)蘇(su)省教育廳確(que)定(ding)為(wei)“江(jiang)蘇(su)省首批實(shi)驗(yan)小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)”。
南京市北京東路(lu)小學(xue)現(xian)有(you)土(tu)地面積(ji)8020平(ping)(ping)方(fang)米,建筑面積(ji)13111平(ping)(ping)方(fang)米,使(shi)用(yong)面積(ji)9365平(ping)(ping)方(fang)米。教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)樓由前至后,分別是思源樓、博愛樓和致遠樓。四(si)樓相(xiang)對(dui)獨立,又(you)由回廊相(xiang)連,形成一(yi)個整體。校(xiao)(xiao)園共有(you)37個普通(tong)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)室(shi),多功能階梯教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)室(shi)、教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師閱(yue)覽室(shi)、學(xue)生閱(yue)覽室(shi)、風雨操(cao)場、多媒體計算機(ji)房、娃(wa)娃(wa)電視(shi)演播室(shi)、勞技、美(mei)術、科學(xue)、音樂、舞蹈(dao)等專用(yong)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)室(shi),配置(zhi)齊全,應有(you)盡有(you)。學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)現(xian)有(you)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)班37個,學(xue)生1666名,教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)職(zhi)(zhi)員工97人。其(qi)中(zhong),特級教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師4人,市學(xue)科帶(dai)頭(tou)人、市優(you)秀(xiu)青年教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師19人,正高級職(zhi)(zhi)稱教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師1人,副高級職(zhi)(zhi)稱教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師8人,中(zhong)級職(zhi)(zhi)稱教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師72人。

2009年10月30-31日,教育部首屆全國基礎(chu)教育課程(cheng)改(gai)革經驗交(jiao)流會在(zai)江蘇南京舉(ju)行,南京市北京東路小學作為南京小學僅有的(de)兩(liang)所(suo)承辦學校(xiao)之(zhi)一,展示了(le)學校(xiao)的(de)情智教育和情智課程(cheng)特色,受到與會教育部領導及(ji)所(suo)有蒞臨學校(xiao)觀摩專家和同行們的(de)高(gao)度贊(zan)譽(yu)。
