廣州市白(bai)云中(zhong)學創辦(ban)于(yu)1960年,前身是白(bai)云師范學校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao),后(hou)經歷五(wu)次(ci)搬遷,六易校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)名,1999年轉制辦(ban)高(gao)中(zhong), 2000年更(geng)名為(wei)廣州市白(bai)云中(zhong)學,是白(bai)云區四所骨干高(gao)中(zhong)之一(yi),學校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)于(yu)2010年9月整(zheng)體搬遷到金(jin)沙洲校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)區。學校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)擬于(yu)2017年下半年申報示范性高(gao)中(zhong)。

廣州市白(bai)(bai)云(yun)中學的(de)前身是創(chuang)辦于(yu)1960年的(de)江村(cun)師范(fan)學校,校址位于(yu)白(bai)(bai)云(yun)區蚌湖玉墟(xu)宮,設(she)速師班(ban)2個,幼師班(ban)2個,共有學生186人(ren),教職工(gong)23人(ren)。
1964年(nian)學(xue)校易(yi)名為廣州市郊區農(nong)業(ye)(ye)職業(ye)(ye)學(xue)校,校址(zhi)設在今九佛鎮,當年(nian)招收會計專業(ye)(ye)2個班,初(chu)級農(nong)業(ye)(ye)技術班2個,共200人,實行半(ban)農(nong)半(ban)讀。
1965年春(chun),學校(xiao)遷至(zhi)石井莘村,同年夏(xia)季,又遷至(zhi)東圃新塘鐘嶺,開設果樹專(zhuan)(zhuan)業、獸醫專(zhuan)(zhuan)業各1個(ge)(ge)班,普師(shi)(shi)專(zhuan)(zhuan)業2個(ge)(ge)班,速成師(shi)(shi)范(fan)1個(ge)(ge)班,共250人,由于增(zeng)開師(shi)(shi)范(fan)專(zhuan)(zhuan)業,學校(xiao)更名為廣州市農職師(shi)(shi)范(fan)學校(xiao)。
1968年(nian)至1969年(nian),學校(xiao)改為(wei)普通中(zhong)學,更名(ming)為(wei)廣州市110中(zhong)學,校(xiao)址設在現天河(he)區東圃。
1969年經市批準,學校又更名為廣州市郊區師范學校。
1969年(nian)至1972年(nian)初(chu),學(xue)校共培(pei)訓中小(xiao)學(xue)教師1000多人,由于辦(ban)學(xue)規范的不斷擴大(da)。
1972年,學校遷(qian)至沙(sha)河馬蹄崗,一方(fang)(fang)面(mian)(mian)繼(ji)續招收普師班(兩年制),另一方(fang)(fang)面(mian)(mian)擔負在職教師的進修(xiu)培訓任(ren)務。
1980年(nian)正式招收(shou)初中(zhong)畢(bi)業(ye)生,學制改為三年(nian)。
1983年區政(zheng)府和市教育局為了進一(yi)步完(wan)善學(xue)(xue)校辦學(xue)(xue)設施,提高辦學(xue)(xue)水平,撥款250萬(wan)元,在廣(guang)州大道中水蔭二(er)橫路新(xin)建(jian)校址。1984年秋,學(xue)(xue)校遷至(zhi)新(xin)址。
1987年更名為廣州市白云(yun)師范學校(xiao),招(zhao)生規模擴(kuo)大(da)到18個班(ban),并招(zhao)收天(tian)河、芳村、黃埔以及從化(hua)、增城、新(xin)豐、龍門、陽江等地新(xin)生,至此白云(yun)師范便(bian)成為了廣州市縣區園丁的搖籃。
1999年,由于中師教育對日益發展的教育形勢的不適應(ying),學校開始轉(zhuan)制辦高(gao)(gao)中,同(tong)年招收首屆高(gao)(gao)一(yi)新生,但為了解決(jue)中師辦學的歷史(shi)遺留問題,1999—2001年,同(tong)時(shi)兼辦中師和電大班(ban)。
2000年學校(xiao)經市政府(fu)批(pi)準,正式更名為廣州市白云(yun)中學,被列為白云(yun)區四所(suo)骨干高中之一。
2009年(nian)10月高(gao)一年(nian)級(ji)遷至新校(xiao)區,該學年(nian)分(fen)水蔭路校(xiao)區和(he)金沙洲校(xiao)區。
2010年9月(yue)學(xue)校整(zheng)體搬(ban)遷(qian)到金(jin)沙洲校區,水蔭(yin)路校區則移交給執(zhi)信中(zhong)學(xue)使(shi)用。
2017年,廣州市白云中學作為市教育局(ju)統(tong)籌(chou)建設對象,開(kai)始了創建示(shi)范性高(gao)中的(de)工作,擬于2017年下半(ban)年提出申報。
