吳川(chuan)市(shi)振(zhen)文中學(xue)(xue)(xue)創辦于1958年,是該市(shi)一所規模較大的市(shi)一級(ji)中學(xue)(xue)(xue)。學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)坐落吳川(chuan)市(shi)振(zhen)文鎮,與市(shi)區近一河(he)之(zhi)隔,交通便利。學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)綠(lv)樹(shu)成蔭(yin),環(huan)境(jing)優(you)雅(ya),校(xiao)園綠(lv)化(hua)、美(mei)化(hua)、凈化(hua)、布局合(he)理(li)。學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)有教(jiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)班36個(其(qi)中高中部十二個,初中二十四個),學(xue)(xue)(xue)生兩千六(liu)左(zuo)右人,教(jiao)職工112人(其(qi)中有來(lai)自江西、湖南、四川(chuan)等地二十多人)。

吳川歷來地脊民貧,1879年,彭(peng)玉看到家(jia)鄉(xiang)沒有書(shu)院,人(ren)才凋敝,為了改善家(jia)鄉(xiang)的落后(hou)面前(qian)。他(ta)(ta)便創(chuang)沒設鎮(zhen)(振)文圩,帶頭捐款興建義倉書(shu)院(后(hou)改為鎮(zhen)文書(shu)院)。彭(peng)玉用實際行動證明了他(ta)(ta)起熱愛家(jia)鄉(xiang),回報(bao)家(jia)鄉(xiang)的真實情(qing)(qing)結,這種家(jia)鄉(xiang)的情(qing)(qing)結還深(shen)深(shen)影響(xiang)了他(ta)(ta)后(hou)人(ren)。
