傳說(shuo)漢高祖劉邦之兄劉仲曾(ceng)居(ju)于(yu)此(ci)山,山上(shang)原有仲子廟,而后名仲山。仲海拔山山脈東西走向,長19.8公(gong)里(li),南(nan)北(bei)寬9.5公(gong)里(li),主峰(feng)鉆天嶺1600米,仲山峰(feng)巒疊翠(cui),幽林(lin)穹谷,雜果(guo)豐盛(sheng),中草藥繁多,珍禽及(ji)野生動物隨處可見,怪(guai)石嶙(lin)峋,異態秀出(chu),原始山林(lin)氛(fen)圍濃郁,仲山既是(shi)(shi)科考、野營(ying)、教學的重要場所,又是(shi)(shi)旅游觀光(guang)避暑度假的理(li)想勝地。

仲山(shan),北有秦(qin)漢兩(liang)朝帝王(wang)(wang)常住的(de)(de)(de)龐大陪(pei)都甘泉上林(lin)苑,南臨恢(hui)宏百(bai)里的(de)(de)(de)秦(qin)宮(gong)阿房和(he)漢都長安,東攜橫亙秦(qin)川與高(gao)原(yuan)分壤的(de)(de)(de)嵯(cuo)峨山(shan),西鄰(lin)氣勢(shi)磅礴延綿險峻(jun)的(de)(de)(de)九嵕山(shan),縱然(ran)仲山(shan)雄踞(ju)宮(gong)闕與群山(shan)之中(zhong),但卻不(bu)能(neng)踞(ju)中(zhong)而(er)為央,更不(bu)能(neng)勢(shi)壓王(wang)(wang)權(quan)稱為中(zhong)!“中(zhong)山(shan)”者“仲山(shan)”世人慨然(ran)而(er)不(bu)蠱!幾千年來(lai),天下(xia)萬(wan)物(wu)臣服(fu)于王(wang)(wang)權(quan)的(de)(de)(de)封建(jian)禮教,可(ke)以(yi)馴(xun)服(fu)人性和(he)人文,但終究不(bu)能(neng)改變(bian)山(shan)壤的(de)(de)(de)自然(ran)屬性。地(di)處秦(qin)川與無垠高(gao)原(yuan)交(jiao)匯點的(de)(de)(de)仲山(shan),以(yi)其特殊(shu)的(de)(de)(de)地(di)理位置,自古以(yi)來(lai)都是皇家貴族觀光玩賞(shang)的(de)(de)(de)天然(ran)園林(lin),也是歷代兵家必爭的(de)(de)(de)戰略(lve)要地(di)。
早在(zai)西周,宣王討伐東胡(hu)祖先時,胡(hu)人首領獫狁就(jiu)曾越過甘泉要塞,侵占仲(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)這(zhe)道通向(xiang)關中(zhong)盆(pen)地(di)(di)的(de)(de)(de)最后屏障,并名此山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)曰焦護.西漢時,武帝崇拜(bai)鬼神,認(ren)為祭天也(ye)須居中(zhong),方(fang)顯得意愿生(sheng)發于心(xin)乃為虔誠,故鑄鼎。親自(zi)(zi)護送至仲(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)祭天祈福,據民間傳說,武帝祭天的(de)(de)(de)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)丘,被后世(shi)叫(jiao)做神屹瘩(da),屹瘩(da)頂上的(de)(de)(de)香爐(鼎)向(xiang)北滾下(xia)了(le)溝坡,那條溝便叫(jiao)了(le)爐子溝,此兩處地(di)(di)名自(zi)(zi)古延(yan)用(yong)至今!唐(tang)代高祖李淵也(ye)曾于仲(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)狩(shou)獵避暑,仲(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)西端百草(cao)梁下(xia)的(de)(de)(de)涇河東側懸崖天塹處。寬敞(chang)洞室,據說就(jiu)是(shi)唐(tang)王休閑避暑的(de)(de)(de)地(di)(di)方(fang),洞室中(zhong)遺存(cun)的(de)(de)(de)石桌,石凳和(he)石床等物(wu)。在(zai)仲(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)腹(fu)地(di)(di)偏北的(de)(de)(de)神疙瘩(da)南坡之下(xia)的(de)(de)(de)凹(ao)地(di)(di),確有唐(tang)代廟宇遺址,出土的(de)(de)(de)唐(tang)磚(zhuan)和(he)唐(tang)代文(wen)字碑已被縣文(wen)化館收藏(zang)。
此處(chu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)唐廟(miao)遺(yi)址周圍數十(shi)畝范圍之(zhi)內,出(chu)土過大量的(de)(de)(de)(de)諸色雨花(hua)石!迄今,金代(dai)曾于仲山(shan)設有安撫司,用以屯(tun) 兵鎮守關中(zhong)腹(fu)地(di),將此做為渭北(bei)的(de)(de)(de)(de)第(di)一道軍事屏障!還有仲山(shan)主(zhu)峰之(zhi)巔的(de)(de)(de)(de)鐵瓦(wa)殿(dian)(dian):是帝王(wang)登(deng)高遠眺秦川的(de)(de)(de)(de)離宮別(bie)館,它(ta)是戰(zhan)(zhan)神鎮守渭北(bei)的(de)(de)(de)(de)廟(miao)宇(yu)大殿(dian)(dian),是秦漢陪都甘泉宮向都城咸(xian)陽和(he)長安傳送軍事消(xiao)息的(de)(de)(de)(de)御用烽火臺!仲山(shan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)戰(zhan)(zhan)略地(di)位在(zai)中(zhong)國歷(li)史和(he)近代(dai)都是不可漠視(shi)的(de)(de)(de)(de)。一九(jiu)四九(jiu)年二月(yue),三,旬,淳,耀都基本解放(fang),而國民黨軍隊殘部,盤踞(ju)仲山(shan),憑借(jie)地(di)理優勢與人(ren)民解放(fang)軍激(ji)戰(zhan)(zhan)數日,直到仲山(shan)決戰(zhan)(zhan)結束,淳化全境(jing)才得以全部解放(fang)!仲山(shan),人(ren)文(wen)景(jing)觀甚多,諸如翰林樁。花(hua)窯。黑虎廟(miao)。龍王(wang)洞以及東端的(de)(de)(de)(de)貞陵北(bei)闕石馬坪和(he)遺(yi)脈村莊王(wang)家山(shan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)四郎廟(miao)之(zhi)等(deng)等(deng)。
