學(xue)校內有鳥(niao)語林,英語角(jiao),雷鋒廣場。地處南湖之濱,靠近(jin)中南民族大學(xue)。不僅(jin)有著(zhu)優美的學(xue)習環(huan)境,還(huan)有著(zhu)豐(feng)富的文化底蘊。
學(xue)校(xiao)始建(jian)于1964年,原名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)洪山中(zhong)學(xue),1999年8月底遷(qian)入新址(zhi)。新建(jian)的學(xue)校(xiao)更名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)為(wei)洪山高(gao)中(zhong)。現(xian)有教(jiao)(jiao)職工140余人(ren)(ren)(ren),其(qi)中(zhong)特級教(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)4名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),市(shi)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)師(shi)3人(ren)(ren)(ren),學(xue)科(ke)帶(dai)頭人(ren)(ren)(ren)6人(ren)(ren)(ren),區級名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)師(shi)5人(ren)(ren)(ren),華師(shi)大(da)生科(ke)院教(jiao)(jiao)育專業碩士學(xue)位兼職導師(shi)1名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),中(zhong)小學(xue)骨干教(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)國家級培訓導師(shi)1名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),高(gao)級教(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)76人(ren)(ren)(ren)。目(mu)前學(xue)校(xiao)建(jian)筑(zhu)總面積3.5萬平方米,在校(xiao)生2000余名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)。學(xue)校(xiao)教(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)設(she)施設(she)備均達到教(jiao)(jiao)育部規(gui)定的一(yi)類標準。
在(zai)張力平同志的帶領下(xia),根據時代發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)需(xu)要(yao),結合學(xue)(xue)校實(shi)際情況(kuang),于(yu)1999年構建(jian)了可(ke)(ke)(ke)(ke)持(chi)續發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)的模(mo)式,提出“為(wei)學(xue)(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)一生(sheng)(sheng)奠基,對(dui)祖國未來(lai)負(fu)責”的辦學(xue)(xue)宗旨,并用(yong)可(ke)(ke)(ke)(ke)持(chi)續發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)理念不斷滲透到學(xue)(xue)校各(ge)項工作中,引(yin)領著學(xue)(xue)校迅速發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)。在(zai)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)實(shi)踐(jian)研究中形成(cheng)了可(ke)(ke)(ke)(ke)持(chi)續發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)的思想內(nei)涵,即(ji):堅(jian)持(chi)人(ren)本發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)是(shi)(shi)可(ke)(ke)(ke)(ke)持(chi)續發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)的原(yuan)則,促(cu)進全(quan)面發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)是(shi)(shi)可(ke)(ke)(ke)(ke)持(chi)續發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)的目(mu)的,保持(chi)和諧(xie)發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)是(shi)(shi)可(ke)(ke)(ke)(ke)持(chi)續發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)的原(yuan)則,實(shi)現可(ke)(ke)(ke)(ke)持(chi)續發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)是(shi)(shi)可(ke)(ke)(ke)(ke)持(chi)續發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)的體(ti)現。學(xue)(xue)校于(yu)2001年營造(zao)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)生(sheng)(sheng)態(tai)環(huan)境,在(zai)自然生(sheng)(sheng)態(tai)環(huan)境、人(ren)文(wen)生(sheng)(sheng)態(tai)環(huan)境、科學(xue)(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)態(tai)環(huan)境的共同作用(yong)下(xia),努力培(pei)養現代社會(hui)所(suo)需(xu)要(yao)具有(you)較(jiao)高的環(huan)境意(yi)識和可(ke)(ke)(ke)(ke)持(chi)續發(fa)(fa)(fa)展(zhan)(zhan)觀的合格公(gong)民(min),真正做到對(dui)祖國未來(lai)負(fu)責,為(wei)學(xue)(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)一生(sheng)(sheng)奠基。

學(xue)(xue)校堅持(chi)走科研(yan)興校的道(dao)路(lu),以“一(yi)切工作(zuo)都是為(wei)了學(xue)(xue)生(sheng)一(yi)生(sheng)的發(fa)展”這一(yi)理念貫穿學(xue)(xue)校每(mei)一(yi)項工作(zuo)。
在全(quan)國率先提出“可持續發展(zhan)教(jiao)育”辦學模式(shi),并取得階段性成果。是武(wu)漢市教(jiao)科(ke)(ke)(ke)實(shi)(shi)驗(yan)基地(di)和(he)市電教(jiao)實(shi)(shi)驗(yan)基地(di)之一。現承(cheng)擔(dan)省、市、區科(ke)(ke)(ke)研(yan)課題13個,其中(zhong)參加市“語感(gan)教(jiao)學”科(ke)(ke)(ke)研(yan)課題已獲武(wu)漢市“八(ba)五”科(ke)(ke)(ke)研(yan)成果一等獎,市“九(jiu)五”課題“高中(zhong)生物(wu)實(shi)(shi)驗(yan)的目標與評價”獲省二等獎。
