五代后晉開運二年(945年)創建。
陀羅(luo)(luo)尼經幢用青(qing)石雕刻(ke)(ke)(ke)對(dui)接而成,由座(zuo)、身、剎(cha)三部(bu)分組成,八樓(lou)七級,通高6米,壯(zhuang)若石塔;基部(bu)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有舞獅,柱(zhu)頂(ding)八角盤上刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有伎樂人;第四節龍柱(zhu)上刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有樓(lou)臺(tai)和侍(shi)女等(deng)。 陀羅(luo)(luo)尼經幢刀(dao)法(fa)嫻熟,刻(ke)(ke)(ke)工精湛(zhan),具(ju)有較高的藝術價值(zhi)。
基座(zuo)上(shang)刻有舞獅。幢(chuang)身最下一節刻《陀羅尼經》,楷書。幢(chuang)頂八角(jiao)盤上(shang)刻伎樂人、飛(fei)天和(he)人面獸身的舞蹈形(xing)象。第四節幢(chuang)身上(shang)刻樓臺亭閣和(he)仕(shi)女,再上(shang)兩節雕(diao)有一佛、二弟子,最上(shang)為葫蘆(lu)形(xing)剎。所有雕(diao)刻,形(xing)象生動,刀法嫻熟,工(gong)藝(yi)精湛,有較(jiao)高的藝(yi)術(shu)價值(zhi)。后晉在中國歷史上(shang)是個短(duan)命的封建王朝,其石(shi)刻藝(yi)術(shu)存世(shi)極(ji)少,故此幢(chuang)十(shi)分珍貴。
該幢(chuang)原(yuan)(yuan)立(li)于室外(wai),后來(lai)衛輝賓館在(zai)其原(yuan)(yuan)處建造(zao)大廳,使其置(zhi)于大廳之內(nei),方才避免了日曬風吹帶來(lai)的(de)損傷。
寧(ning)境(jing)(jing)(jing)寺原(yuan)(yuan)名(ming)為(wei)寧(ning)靜(jing)院(yuan),五(wu)(wu)代后(hou)(hou)晉開運(yun)二(er)年(公(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)945年)開始建(jian)造。宋代時寧(ning)境(jing)(jing)(jing)院(yuan)曾(ceng)得以保留。元(yuan)(yuan)至正二(er)十八年(公(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)1368年)七(qi)月,明(ming)(ming)朝大(da)將徐達、副將軍(jun)(jun)常遇春,征伐(fa)河(he)北(bei)之軍(jun)(jun),攻(gong)占衛輝后(hou)(hou),寧(ning)靜(jing)院(yuan)一度(du)毀(hui)于戰火(huo)之中。明(ming)(ming)王朝建(jian)立后(hou)(hou),洪武二(er)十三年(公(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)1390年)寧(ning)靜(jing)院(yuan)在(zai)舊墟上(shang)被(bei)重(zhong)新修起,并將院(yuan)改為(wei)寺,同時置僧(seng)(seng)綱司,明(ming)(ming)正德七(qi)年(公(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)1512年),嘉靖(jing)二(er)十五(wu)(wu)年(公(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)1546年),當時衛輝府又分別翻(fan)修和重(zhong)建(jian)了(le)(le)寧(ning)境(jing)(jing)(jing)寺,寧(ning)境(jing)(jing)(jing)寺在(zai)原(yuan)(yuan)有(you)規律(lv)的基礎上(shang)再次得到(dao)了(le)(le)擴大(da)。清(qing)軍(jun)(jun)入關后(hou)(hou),清(qing)王朝為(wei)了(le)(le)麻木和禁(jin)錮人(ren)們的反清(qing)思想,除加(jia)以保護(hu)寺院(yuan)外,并且仍置僧(seng)(seng)綱司。清(qing)朝滅(mie)亡(wang)后(hou)(hou),寧(ning)境(jing)(jing)(jing)寺又再度(du)毀(hui)于戰火(huo)和人(ren)為(wei)毀(hui)壞之中。現(xian)其它建(jian)筑已不(bu)復存在(zai),獨石(shi)刻(ke)陀(tuo)羅尼經幢(chuang)完整遺留了(le)(le)下來。
陀羅尼經幢,現存整座建筑高6.50米,由幢座、幢身及幢頂三部分構成。
幢(chuang)的(de)基座(zuo)分為(wei)二層(ceng),底(di)層(ceng)是直徑為(wei)1.50米的(de)須彌座(zuo),總(zong)高為(wei)1.80米,底(di)層(ceng)須彌座(zuo)的(de)下枋為(wei)方形(xing)(xing),下梟雕(diao)有十六瓣(ban)覆蓮裝飾,中間束腰部(bu)分為(wei)八(ba)角形(xing)(xing)柱體,上(shang)(shang)枋雕(diao)成十五瓣(ban)蓮花形(xing)(xing)狀。上(shang)(shang)層(ceng)須彌座(zuo)的(de)束腰部(bu)分也為(wei)八(ba)角形(xing)(xing)柱體,與(yu)底(di)層(ceng)中間束腰部(bu)分一(yi)樣,八(ba)個(ge)角上(shang)(shang)各(ge)雕(diao)有壺(hu)門(men)一(yi)個(ge),內(nei)有雕(diao)像一(yi)尊,似(si)為(wei)使樂人。再上(shang)(shang)枋為(wei)八(ba)角形(xing)(xing),上(shang)(shang)雕(diao)覆蓮。
幢身系上細下(xia)粗的八(ba)棱柱體,高(gao)1.70米,上部(bu)每(mei)(mei)面(mian)(mian)闊(kuo)0.20米,直徑0.46米,下(xia)部(bu)每(mei)(mei)面(mian)(mian)闊(kuo)0.22米,直徑0.52米。它的八(ba)面(mian)(mian)皆刻(ke)(ke)有陀(tuo)羅尼經(jing)文(wen)。在(zai)幢身的正面(mian)(mian)(南面(mian)(mian))首行(xing)楷(kai)書陰刻(ke)(ke)“佛(fo)頂尊勝(sheng)陀(tuo)羅尼經(jing)序”九個(ge)大字。從第二行(xing)開始(shi)刻(ke)(ke)經(jing)序,每(mei)(mei)面(mian)(mian)刻(ke)(ke)九行(xing),足行(xing)一(yi)百一(yi)十(shi)五字,最后(hou)一(yi)面(mian)(mian)尾行(xing)刻(ke)(ke)“□晉開運二年歲在(zai)□已二月二十(shi)九日丙□”。從而證實了(le)該經(jing)幢的建造時間(jian)為后(hou)晉開運二年(公元945年)。
幢頂(ding)(ding)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可分(fen)為(wei)(wei)七(qi)層(ceng)(ceng),總高3.88米(mi)。第一(yi)層(ceng)(ceng),接幢身之上(shang)(shang)(shang),可分(fen)兩面(mian)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)。下(xia)(xia)(xia)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)圓(yuan)柱(zhu)狀(zhuang),環刻(ke)(ke)(ke)淺(qian)浮(fu)雕(diao)(diao)圖案(an)。上(shang)(shang)(shang)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)一(yi)八(ba)(ba)(ba)角(jiao)形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)寶(bao)蓋。第二層(ceng)(ceng)為(wei)(wei)一(yi)圓(yuan)柱(zhu)體(ti)。繞柱(zhu)雕(diao)(diao)有(you)五條盤(pan)龍,南面(mian)正(zheng)中(zhong)(zhong)開(kai)一(yi)尖拱形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)小(xiao)(xiao)龕(kan),龕(kan)內所雕(diao)(diao)坐佛造像,已不存在(zai)(zai)。第三層(ceng)(ceng)分(fen)上(shang)(shang)(shang)、下(xia)(xia)(xia)兩部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)。下(xia)(xia)(xia)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)八(ba)(ba)(ba)角(jiao)形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)體(ti),底部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)有(you)八(ba)(ba)(ba)個(ge)斜面(mian),上(shang)(shang)(shang)雕(diao)(diao)八(ba)(ba)(ba)個(ge)飛人正(zheng)凌(ling)空飛舞,衣帶飄(piao)揚(yang)。上(shang)(shang)(shang)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)圓(yuan)形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing),繞四(si)周雕(diao)(diao)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有(you)四(si)組建(jian)筑,四(si)組建(jian)筑之間用(yong)以回廊聯(lian)結(jie)。第四(si)層(ceng)(ceng)可分(fen)三部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)。下(xia)(xia)(xia)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)一(yi)圓(yuan)形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)仰(yang)蓮小(xiao)(xiao)座、中(zhong)(zhong)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)方形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)柱(zhu)體(ti),四(si)面(mian)均(jun)有(you)雕(diao)(diao)像一(yi)鋪。上(shang)(shang)(shang)面(mian)為(wei)(wei)圓(yuan)形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)仰(yang)蓮狀(zhuang)小(xiao)(xiao)蓋。第五層(ceng)(ceng)有(you)三部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)組成。下(xia)(xia)(xia)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)圓(yuan)柱(zhu)體(ti),繞圓(yuan)柱(zhu)淺(qian)浮(fu)雕(diao)(diao)有(you)六(liu)組獅首銜環,之間有(you)纓絡聯(lian)結(jie)。中(zhong)(zhong)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)八(ba)(ba)(ba)角(jiao)形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)柱(zhu)體(ti),每(mei)隔一(yi)面(mian)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有(you)長(chang)方形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)淺(qian)龕(kan),龕(kan)內各雕(diao)(diao)有(you)一(yi)力士(shi)像,在(zai)(zai)素面(mian)上(shang)(shang)(shang)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有(you)楷(kai)書文字,但多(duo)已漫漶(huan),中(zhong)(zhong)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)一(yi)八(ba)(ba)(ba)角(jiao)形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)屋(wu)頂(ding)(ding)狀(zhuang)寶(bao)蓋,在(zai)(zai)八(ba)(ba)(ba)棱體(ti)的(de)截(jie)面(mian)上(shang)(shang)(shang)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有(you)“回”形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)圖案(an),頂(ding)(ding)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)每(mei)面(mian)雕(diao)(diao)有(you)瓦垅七(qi)行,檐下(xia)(xia)(xia)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有(you)角(jiao)梁,飛檐,刻(ke)(ke)(ke)工精細,比(bi)例協調。第六(liu)層(ceng)(ceng)也有(you)三部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)組成。下(xia)(xia)(xia)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)雕(diao)(diao)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)的(de)多(duo)層(ceng)(ceng)仰(yang)蓮圖案(an),中(zhong)(zhong)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)一(yi)風化的(de)柱(zhu)體(ti),上(shang)(shang)(shang)部(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)圓(yuan)形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)寶(bao)蓋,在(zai)(zai)寶(bao)蓋的(de)邊(bian)緣鑿有(you)八(ba)(ba)(ba)個(ge)圓(yuan)形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)小(xiao)(xiao)瓦,似是掛(gua)風鐸(duo)而致。繞圓(yuan)雕(diao)(diao)有(you)帷(wei)幔形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)狀(zhuang)淺(qian)浮(fu)雕(diao)(diao),第七(qi)層(ceng)(ceng)為(wei)(wei)一(yi)完整的(de)葫蘆(lu)形(xing)(xing)(xing)(xing)寶(bao)珠。
作(zuo)為(wei)經(jing)幢(chuang)(chuang)(chuang)建造的起始(shi),是自唐(tang)代(dai)以后(hou)建造之(zhi)(zhi)風才開始(shi)盛行。有(you)為(wei)功德(de)鐫造的陀羅尼經(jing)幢(chuang)(chuang)(chuang),也(ye)有(you)為(wei)紀忥僧德(de)的墓幢(chuang)(chuang)(chuang),而五代(dai)之(zhi)(zhi)后(hou)晉國祚非常短促,與歷代(dai)相(xiang)比,只(zhi)能稱(cheng)得(de)上是曇花(hua)一現,因此所留遺物(wu)少(shao)之(zhi)(zhi)甚少(shao)。衛輝之(zhi)(zhi)陀羅尼經(jing)幢(chuang)(chuang)(chuang),承唐(tang)代(dai)經(jing)幢(chuang)(chuang)(chuang)之(zhi)(zhi)衣缽,啟宋代(dai)經(jing)幢(chuang)(chuang)(chuang)之(zhi)(zhi)先(xian)風。整(zheng)個經(jing)幢(chuang)(chuang)(chuang)布(bu)局嚴謹,人物(wu)造像逼真(zhen),真(zhen)實地(di)展(zhan)現了當(dang)時(shi)的佛(fo)教文化(hua)。它(ta)巧妙地(di)使用高浮(fu)雕(diao)(diao)(diao),淺(qian)浮(fu)雕(diao)(diao)(diao)、圓浮(fu)雕(diao)(diao)(diao)相(xiang)結合(he)的手法,完整(zheng)地(di)體現了當(dang)時(shi)的雕(diao)(diao)(diao)造技(ji)術,堪稱(cheng)極佳的石(shi)刻藝術品,而它(ta)作(zuo)為(wei)一個時(shi)期——五代(dai)之(zhi)(zhi)后(hou)晉遺物(wu)的完整(zheng)保存(cun),就顯得(de)更為(wei)彌足珍貴(gui)。
2013年(nian)入選第七批全國重點文物保護單位。
