六峰(feng)(feng)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)拔地(di)(di)橫空(kong),氣勢(shi)磅(bang)礴,峰(feng)(feng)巒嵯峨,古稱(cheng)石六山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),有(you)“半巫山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)”之稱(cheng)。自古以(yi)來(lai)登覽只有(you)南(nan)麓“山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)門”一(yi)(yi)石徑。瘦石倚城留云,谷幽樹(shu)古霧攢,古剎新(xin)亭兩生輝(hui),山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)花含笑(xiao)向人迎。宋明(ming)至今,一(yi)(yi)直被視為(wei)“人寰勝地(di)(di)”,當(dang)代著名畫家黃(huang)獨(du)峰(feng)(feng)生前(qian)千贊譽其有(you)黃(huang)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)風(feng)韻。花石山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)、鳳凰山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)和翠(cui)壁峰(feng)(feng),與六峰(feng)(feng)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)一(yi)(yi)脈相承,錯落(luo)分(fen)別,各呈俏(qiao)容(rong),從飛機上往下看,約(yue)略類似夏夜(ye)星空(kong)中的(de)北斗。在(zai)古、近代地(di)(di)方政治、軍事(shi)、文(wen)化、人文(wen)風(feng)俗和旅游(you)史中,占(zhan)有(you)非常重要的(de)席位(wei)。六峰(feng)(feng)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)唐(tang)宋時(shi)期石六寨,宋朝靈山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)縣治、靈山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)學宮所在(zai)地(di)(di);花石山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)五彩(cai)瑰麗(li)的(de)靈山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)花石,明(ming)朝時(shi)曾(ceng)定為(wei)貢品;翠(cui)壁峰(feng)(feng)空(kong)鏡巖內有(you)抗日名將蔡(cai)廷(ting)鍇當(dang)年(nian)“振旅巖疆(jiang)”的(de)遺墨;鳳凰山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)根的(de)三海(hai)巖素稱(cheng)“粵西勝境”,“一(yi)(yi)巖三海(hai)洞(dong)天開,鬼斧(fu)神工(gong)別有(you)緣”,更以(yi)幽洞(dong)、鐘乳和摩崖石刻三絕引人入勝。
北(bei)帝(di)(di)廟的(de)(de)神像(北(bei)帝(di)(di))是(shi)(shi)與山體連成一體的(de)(de)天然石(shi)塊雕(diao)成,腳(jiao)(jiao)下(xia)踏著一只(zhi)龜和一條蛇。據傳(chuan)說,原來(lai),北(bei)帝(di)(di)在未(wei)成仙(xian)之前,在武當山修煉(lian),始終沒有得道,但他(ta)堅持修煉(lian),終于(yu)感動神靈,授(shou)他(ta)妙計并助他(ta)成功,讓北(bei)帝(di)(di)摘下(xia)五臟(zang)六(liu)腑,用仙(xian)帶填(tian)入,北(bei)帝(di)(di)即得金身成仙(xian),北(bei)帝(di)(di)將自己(ji)的(de)(de)五臟(zang)六(liu)腑埋于(yu)一大石(shi)下(xia),不(bu)料,千日之后,五臟(zang)六(liu)腑竟化作龜蛇兩妖(yao),分(fen)別長于(yu)水火(huo),下(xia)凡危害(hai)百(bai)姓,百(bai)姓處于(yu)水深火(huo)熱之中,只(zhi)好祈(qi)求(qiu)北(bei)帝(di)(di)顯靈解難,起(qi)初(chu)北(bei)帝(di)(di)不(bu)知妖(yao)怪來(lai)由,為(wei)除(chu)妖(yao)下(xia)到凡間,將兩妖(yao)擒住,才發現妖(yao)怪乃自己(ji)內臟(zang)所化,又(you)念其(qi)修煉(lian)不(bu)易,不(bu)忍將其(qi)毀(hui)掉,遂收(shou)為(wei)手下(xia),又(you)恐其(qi)溜走,就(jiu)用腳(jiao)(jiao)踩住,這就(jiu)是(shi)(shi)北(bei)帝(di)(di)腳(jiao)(jiao)踏龜蛇的(de)(de)來(lai)由。另外,觀音閣也是(shi)(shi)善男(nan)信(xin)女常(chang)年朝拜圣(sheng)殿。每年的(de)(de)觀音旦,遠道而(er)來(lai)的(de)(de)香客紛紛登山跪(gui)拜,香火(huo)不(bu)斷。
大(da)雄寶殿(dian),建(jian)(jian)(jian)于(yu)明朝正德年(nian)(nian)間,以前雕(diao)有關公、岳飛(fei)石塑,但文(wen)革期間遭到了嚴重(zhong)破(po)壞,現(xian)在已經修(xiu)建(jian)(jian)(jian)了,這次修(xiu)建(jian)(jian)(jian),在恢(hui)復原來的格局外,還運用現(xian)代技術(shu),使(shi)神(shen)像變得(de)聲形(xing)并茂。大(da)佛堂,是幾年(nian)(nian)前建(jian)(jian)(jian)成的,雖然建(jian)(jian)(jian)造(zao)時(shi)間長,但香(xiang)火極旺。大(da)雄寶殿(dian)于(yu)2004年(nian)(nian)9月由(you)釋昌(chang)一法師(shi)主(zhu)持(chi)動工(gong)興(xing)建(jian)(jian)(jian),2005年(nian)(nian)10月5日建(jian)(jian)(jian)成并“開光”投入使(shi)用,其建(jian)(jian)(jian)造(zao)時(shi)間雖不長,香(xiang)火卻極旺,已經成為(wei)善(shan)男信女朝拜的圣殿(dian)。
